Amy, I have to get a new can opener too. I dropped mine and of course, it fell wrong! I am getting another electric as the old hands don't work like they used to.
Deb, you are a great mom!
Brenda, how's it going?
This week my goal is to straighten up my dining room so we can start eating in it again.

but in want to know if the 1979 letter exists or a subsequent letter in 1980 that told me to pay back SSI when I got SSDI. then I would be correct in law that to erase the SSI payment history and get rid of the 2 SSA documents in 1976 and 1978 were not legal as I have stated.

Hello! I have started walking a little again on my treadmill. Still haven't made it to the gym. My weight is bouncing up and down a pound or two daily. SO frustrating! I can't stand to look at myself in a mirror or have my photo taken!
Susan is starting to improve. I will try walking in the park with a bandmate before practice tonight. Susan thinks she'll be okay. I'll have my cellphone on me so I can head back home if necessary. It just shows how much lifting weights really helps you in other areas. I had a total knee replacement last year and didn't have the problems Susan has getting up and down on the sofa or bed. Well I did actually, but I had a yoga strap that I used to lift up my leg because my quads had to be cut in order to remove the old knee and insert the new knee -so absolutely no quad strength for a couple months. But Susan finds it really hard to do even with the strap. She exercises a lot aerobically but although she has a home gym, I don't know how regularly she uses it. I've been lifting weights at the gym since 1987, when I was pregnant with Timmy (my younger son). I gotta get my fanny back to the gym and continue the weight lifting!
Susan's in good spirits which is a really big deal. She believes she's completely over her mental breakdown. During the 7 weeks it was going on, she said it seemed like she was living in or watching herself in a TV sitcom, nothing seemed real. She thought people including her family were messing with her. And then her head cleared and she can now see what was going on. It's really bizarre and scary. She hopes to be back at work in a couple weeks and then living in her apartment again (in a few months) which I hope so too, but I can't help but be worried about her. The whole situation was so unreal and very unexpected to happen to Susan, of all people! But we hopes that she really is okay because if anything would have sent her over the edge again it seems like it would have been that first weekend following the surgery when she was in so much pain and so helpless and needy!
Amy, thank you for your kind post. It was very soothing and helpful.
Amy, congratulations on your continuing weight loss! Well done! I don't fully understand the problems you are having with social security but really hope you are getting some resolution! That was nice to have the family zoom in memory of your father {{{{hugs}}}}
I gave up on electric can openers! More recent ones just don't seem to work at well. I don't seem to struggle with hand ones too much anymore. (?) Maybe because of the chiropractor? She does sometimes does some adjustments/stretches on my hands if I request it.
Mo, good luck clearing the dining room table! I need to do that! It's the March parade season and I get lazy about putting my bagpipe equipment away after each parade and practice. After all, I'm just going to be getting it out again in a couple days! yeah, yeah, excuses excuses, lol.
Waving Hi! to Brenda! How's the new puppers? Or is it an adult now?

no I do not have an electric can opener I received a wonderful can opener that is Kitchen Aid van opener it is easy it s under 30 dollars and I love it. I bough tone in target but it was for lefties. so I go tanothe one from QVC that is for righties. Scott and I do not understand why the leftie can opener did not say so because on the right side it would works perfect. I got a cap tel phone installed that calls and I can also see words on th screen. I just don't catch up fast in processing on a phone call. So SSa I called the office and asked them to call that phone. Then sp-ectrum came and got me a second number for my fax machine which interferes and picked up after 3 rings on the cap tel phone. it was such a kind man who brought it. I just have to set the rings to 6 again. I have to pay 20 extra for a second line but it is worth it. he spent time here. an because the specter store is right near me he came too. and then I had a UW home direct to help with my balance problems and they overlapped. But both people were kind about it . I had to play around and find things to plug in. I finally something to help with all the plugs and that way my internet doesn't go out. I am getting a new case manager. She did not believe how many times I fell in a month. She was wrong and I cant take that she doesn't believe Ime. I decided to eat oatmeal and a 1/4 cup of raisins in it. I kuje and its filling. And the I bought this wafers with peanubutter pretty chaep whose pack is 750 calories. and then I eat about 3 cup of oatmeal and 3/4 cup raisins for about 1500 but it is nice to have that other snack. I was put o 184 today cause I ate two much, Scott is taking me out for my birthday April 20 to the Shake shack cause I told him they have black bean burgers and Russ may come nd its real near here. We will have wind tomorrow alot. starting tonight. Boy I will be 70 in April. a frend of ours is traveling with her family an due are walking and playing with Sweetie pie a mix with the personality of a golden retriever . But she will miss the family so I asked Scott if we can play with her in his apartment,.

Good morning! Brrrrrrrr, March weather has decided to return to Syracuse. Susan is doing a lot better! I still haven't gotten to the gym yet since her operation but hopefully sometime this week. The parades are done with for this month so should be getting my weekends back.
How is everyone else?

Brenda! Please post more! I've been wondering how you are? And the new pupper! Amy, I'm glad the phone guy has been so helpful. How long will you be able to enjoy the new pupper? Isn't it strange to be a senior? Our grandparents are the seniors not us, lol. Can you get a new case manager, you can't have one that doesn't take you seriously! Amy, you're still doing great with your weight, you are an inspiration to me! Fyi - have you tried thawing frozen raspberries and adding them to your oatmeal? That's how I eat mine, it's tasty, super healthy and adds a lot of fiber! Mo, I don't think I've actually stepped off of square 1 in a couple years. But I'm going to work on that -Amy's proving that you CAN lose weight over 60. I managed at last, to walk 3 miles on the TM yesterday and today (it half mile bursts). It's cold this week, so back to my TM. I take breaks from working to walk half a mile at a time. And I've started doing some kitchen counter pushups and tricep dips. Why did I let myself get away from exercising?! Oh well, I've made up my mind to be kinder to myself and kinder in general -which starts with being kind to yourself!
