Received this email this morning. I hope they get the app straightened out before then. The recipe builder hasn't been working right on the app.

Great minds think alike. We cross posted at the same time. I deleted my post so there's only one thread.

This could be a huge thing for the GLP-1 members, because the app does not let you see your points when it is set to GLP-1. It only shows the selected macros that that program counts (carbs, protein, etc.) The website only shows points (not macros) so they have been able to have the "best of both worlds" and see their points on the website and macros on the app.

Sigh, there goes another feature I like. I'm older and wasn't born with a cellphone attached to my hand, there are things I prefer to do on the laptop. Including tracking and creating recipes on weightwatchers.com. I'm getting to the point I probably won't even care when WW goes belly up.

After this email - just my thought but seems as if not too far down the line all in person workshops might be gone.

We have been saying on these boards for a long time that WW did not care about the older, non-tech-savvy, lifetime, NON-PAYING members. So many of the older members don't have cell phones and don't use apps. WW has now officially cut those folks loose. This is a nail in the old peoples' coffins.

They look like they could be twins. They were in hot competition with eachother, both lost 50 lbs and both made lifetime. They knew nothing about the app when they started, they took on the challenge and know the app inside and out now. Apps are not for everyone but it's not necessarily due to age.

I hate the app. I use the web site 99% of the time. The only time I use the app is if we're grabbing food out or if I'm at the store and want to check something.

I also wonder if Virtual meetings will only be on phone - I like them on my computer - nice size screen.

I also wonder if Virtual meetings will only be on phone - I like them on my computer - nice size screen. I did one virtual meeting on my phone (an Android) and at the end of the meeting I couldn't figure out how to "hang up." It was embarrassing because the leader was waiting for me to leave. Finally, I just (I think) poked the screen with my finger, and it closed. I'm getting pretty tech phobic because it is hard for me to figure out how to work things. All this to say I'll be nervous if the meetings all go the app.

I'm with those who hate the app and like to track, etc. on the website. The app on the phone is too small. I don't think the food selections are all there either. I am very disappointed that WWers is moving in this direction.

Someone started a Reddit thread about the change, and it was removed by WW.

Someone started a Reddit thread about the change, and it was removed by WW. What were they saying ? Is reddit owned by WW? I'm not sure how they could remove a thread π€·ββοΈ Good question- I was a little tired when I posted that last night. It was on the Weight Watchers subreddit. It has volunteer moderators, but has a feel that WW monitors it. I'm not exactly sure how it is set up. There are rules for the subreddit such as "No WW Bashing", but the post that was removed was not anything extreme. They basically said that they were done with WW because of this change, and the majority of the responses on there were similar to the ones on this thread. I don't know if the comments are viewable to everyone because the original post was deleted. https://www.reddit.com/r/weightwatchers/comments/1brvc0h/ww_decreasing_features_in_browser/ I have seen much more nasty posts on Connect about the WW Clinic program π€·π»ββοΈ.
