Good Morning, Challengers
Yesterday Wed I did 4/6 of my main HHs, ate in my ๐ zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 1 snack, used 17 pts. We walked 2.2 mi before breakfast, and I took out the trash for .3 mi, so 2.5 mi for the day.
My โKISSโ HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) yesterday: - Do at least 10 mins of PT/ST: N - Avoid salted snacks: ๐ - No โsecondsโ with snack: ๐ - No eating out of a container: ๐ - Limit phone after 9 pm: ๐ - Evening: โSnack on Inspoโ; Read prayers, quotes, whys and goals: N - FFFE (Food-Free Fasting Evenings): N - JGTB (Just Go To Bed) around 10 - 11 pm: ๐
Yesterday we captured the lizard that had been hiding downstairs in our office. He was just posing at the bottom of the stairs. I dropped a container over it and DH slipped some cardboard under it and carried it outside. Hope he stays out there!
Temps have been a little lower so weโve been able to sit outside after dinner the past 2 evenings.
KELLY - HaPpY BiRtHdAy! Glad you had a relaxing week and enjoyed the niece time. GFY with the 14.5 mi during your week off, despite the heat.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.

THURSDAY!
Hi, everyone!
KELLY -- I'm glad you were able to enjoy your "staycation" and still get so much walking in! Good job!
CAIT -- You will treasure those end tables on the deck; what a thoughtful use of that wood! Good work getting back to achieving (most of) your HHs.
Yesterday I went to the doctor, who explained more about the procedure he did to open up the vessel that had the undersized stent in it. He said to go ahead on our trip, and he doesn't want to see me for six months (unless I experience some symptoms, of course). We had sort of stopped being excited about our Africa trip, but now we can really look forward to it! Some of Fred's family is visiting, so I was showing them photos of the camps and hotels we'll be staying in, and I got excited all over again!
Yesterday I was able to go to a later rehab session after finishing with the doctor, but I didn't do any bands or stretching because we were getting ready for the above-mentioned company. This morning I did my own thing in the pool for 40 minutes, and I stretched there.

Good Morning!!
Yesterday, was a good day at work. I did a 2 mile walk before work.
We celebrated a co-worker's birthday with the dark chocolate cake with peanut butter icing that I made from scratch. We also had homemade raspberry ice cream cake that her daughter made. Definitely not WW friendly but oh so good.
Carol: Good job on your rehab session, pool workout, and stretching. Enjoy your time with Fred's family. So glad you are getting to go to Africa.
Cait: Good job on your walk and a mostly good day with your HHs. Glad you were able to enjoy your deck.
Waving to all!! Happy Walking!!

TGIFRIDAY!
Oh, I feel better after a little nap! Prepping two dinners and two breakfasts for 6 people about wore me out; I can't imagine how my mom (and other moms, of course) did it day after day for years!
KELLY -- both your chocolate/peanut butter icing cake and that raspberry ice cream cake sound divine! Worth a splurge, for sure! Good job getting your walk in before work, when it's hopefully cooler.
Today I went to rehab and then stopped at a pool for a mini-workout and stretch.

DH also spotted a Bullocks Oriole in the burned trees just off the deck. So gorgeous! Here are a few pics of the oriole. Heโs small, yellow and orange, in the center of each pic. He kept moving around and I kept chasing him but my outdated phone doesnโt take the greatest pics. Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other. Cait

Good Morning, Challengers Yesterday Fri I did all 6 of my main HHs, ate in my ๐ zone of pts. I had 3 meals, 0 snack, used 20 pts. We walked 2.2 mi before breakfast. This am I attended my weekly WW virtual workshop. The weekly topic is โStuck in a food rut? This will help.โ www.weightwatchers.com/us/m/cms/stuck-food-rut-this-will-helpBut since WW changed the focus of this particular meeting to โMenopause,โ we do more sharing about successes and challenges. The coach briefly gets into the weekly topic toward the end of the meeting. I like the topics, but I really value the sharing part. Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other. Cait

SATURDAY!
CAIT -- We just started offering grape jelly to the orioles here (mostly Baltimore Orioles but a few Orchard Orioles, too). They love it! The robins like it, too. Of course the raccoons like it, so we try to bring the container in at night. The stores around here actually run out of grape jelly because so many people use it to attract orioles!
No cardio today; I picked green beans and cukes in the garden and trimmed and watered all the flower pots. I just finished stretching, so I'll add that.

Good Morning, Challengers

This am I did my end of month WI and my weight was 146.9, down 1.1 lbs from end of last month, and down 2.5 lbs from end of April. Iโm glad to see that. I was worried that maybe something medical was going on. Nope. Just me and my behaviors. My weight had been below 146 from end of Aug 2022 until it started going up in Jan of this year. But big picture, these fluctuations are minor, and still healthy BMI, compared with the 10-40-100 lb yo-yo weights in years past. Looking at my records for the past 21+ yrs puts it in perspective!
CAROL - Itโs nice to have a weekend companion! GFY with the gardening and stretching Sat. ๐ We had never heard of putting out grape jelly for birds. Maybe weโll give it a try.
Be well, and take care, for ourselves and for each other.
