If this has already been covered, I apologize. When the website/app changes are live will we be given some kind of default plan? Is there something we need to do to change to whichever version of the plan we want? My understanding is that existing members default to Blue which is the current Freestyle. This. And if you want to change you just will go to profile > settings > food settings. (I *think* that is where she said it would be I will update this if it isn't there)

I will probably stick with that since that is more or less what I'm doing now. One more question, is there a different number of points for maintenance?

No luanne , that stays the same as before. Honestly, it is the exact same thing, they just brought back Beyond the Scale for the people that loved that and tweaked Simply Filling to make it more livable.

Which means, in essence, the only thing that is new and revolutionary is Purple. Having 16 or more points to spend daily, plus Fitpoints and weekly points, means that there is room for non-yogurt/non-ff cottage cheese dairy like FF or 1% milk. And steak. And **shudder** the occasional bagel or muffin.

Right zazzles. I will say that both of the Leaders (they brought in a second one to help with receptionist duties but they tag-teamed the meeting) were doing purple and both were really impressed with it. In fact they said they rarely went over the 16 dailies.

Kitty nothing was said about the My Success Planner, but I if it is a start-up-only booklet and that once the initial four weeks are used up thatβll be the end of it. I should have asked specifically. It seems like it would cost them more to hand those out every. This seems to be the new weigh in book. I had wondered why they used colors for the 3 plans and I realize now this is why. On packaging and articles they can clearly show how many points stuff is be each plan (technically they say it is one program with 3 ways to live it... debsback took place in the polot program and she said she could go into settings to see how many points something was under a plan and then go back to the plan she was on. SO, doesn't sound like there is a limit. I am mostly interested in packaged foods and restaurant foods to see how points vary. I have a number of frozen meals that have potatoes in them or use whole grains and I am interested to see how they come out. I tracked Blue and Green last week. I was not in weight loss mode (just maintaining) so was way over on points. I ate an average of 1354 calories a day which is a mild deficit for me. I was over 75 points on Blue (Freestyle) and was over 55 on Green. However, I did nothing at all to try to optimize eating for either plan and we ate out several times which wasn't very points friendly. THis week I plan to shade more toward purple and plan to track purple at WW but also track green to see how they compare. Huh. DH went and picked up the new plan materials. But the weekly handout he received gave a recipe for Sauteed Chicken with lemon-caper sauce and only shows the blue points. Maybe that was last week's handout? zazzles, I do think the purple is really new and DebDoesWW, it is way more than a SF tweak. SF was absolutely unworkable for me. I felt it was a strait jacket. I may not end up doing purple long term, but I can see that it could work for me. I do tend to eat on the lower end of the carb scale (not super low - average about 100g per day). I don't eat bread at home hardly at all (occasional tortilla) but the idea of being able to eat things like brown rice or sweet potatoes or even regular potatoes (which I have avoided for years) is very appealing to me. I think purple is just a solid major improvement over SF and is far more livable for more people (I know many people loved SF as is but I think it required a very particular eating style). Peace -- the old minimum was 23 and 16 is about 70% of that (rounded).

Okay, one more question. Did the points for foods change? If the Blue plan is the same as Freestyle and the food points don't change, I should just be able to keep on doing what I've been doing, right?

luanne, Points for FS foods didn't change. The points calculation is the same and the 0 points food list is same for Blue and FS as far as I can tell.

Kitty, the current Weekly has "It's our most groundbreaking, customized program. Ever." on the flip-side dated Nov 10-16 and the sweet potato toast recipe. There should be a date on it upper right corner.

I also attended a meeting this morningβdespite my planβbecauseΒ DebDoesWW goaded me into it in another thread by mentioning the materials and how nice they were reported to be. And I concur. I like what they handed me. Kitty nothing was said about the My Success Planner, but I if it is a start-up-only booklet and that once the initial four weeks are used up thatβll be the end of it. I should have asked specifically. It seems like it would cost them more to hand those out every. There is also a new MyWW cookbook which I boughtβbecause we all know Iβm addicted to cookbooks. Each recipe shows three colored circles with the points for the three plans. The Coach (my former one) gave the party line answer for how often one can change plans. I didnβt get a chance to ask whether one was restricted from changing plans more than weekly or bi-weekly. DebDoesWW did you hear an answer to that question? The Weekly handout has a recipe for Sweet Pootato Toast with Banana Honey & Pecans. Points are Green:4 Blue: 4 Purple: 3. Finally, the little free pocket/purse tracker is more colorful. The last piece of newsβfor meβis that they are bringing back the Monday morning meeting a week from tomorrow. It will be a 9:30 meeting whereas the previous meeting was 9:00. I donβt know how my little group of 8 will respond to that. I guess we will discuss it tomorrow. According to my leader this morning, and page 53 of the My ww book, you should give the plan 2 weeks before making changes.

Okay got it, thank you. So current dailies - 30% for ITB users. Reminder, don't go below the minimum of 16 dailies. π

DebDoesWW , Ah. Yes, they gave him the old one for last week. Not sure why. Maybe just a mistake. They did give him the new program book. dar1965 , While they recommend waiting 2 weeks between programs it is pretty clear that you don't have to. I do think that it probably isn't a good idea to eat on Purple today and blue tomorrow and green the next day then back to purple, etc. But, certainly in deciding between programs I want to see clearly how the points differ. I plan to go around the house and make a list of foods that I have that I think will differ between purple and green and blue. Also, make a list of foods I eat regularly at restaurants. Then I plan to look up the foods on blue, then set the program to green and check them on that, then set to purple and check. Once I do that I will know for sure what I plan to do this week. I am leaning to setting for purple this week. During the week if I come across foods I eat often that I didn't check I will switch long enough to see how many points they have under green and blue. DebDoesWW, Current dailies minus 23% is the calculation to go from Green to blue (old SP to FS). So 30 daily points to 23 was 23% less. To go from 23 to 16, though, is 30% less.

Super bummed that our location never even got a new slow cooker instant pot cookbook

DebDoesWW,Dumpy to Diva first thought the purple plan would be 23% of your daily points. She posted on FB this morning it is 30% of your dailies. So if you get 23 FS points you would subtract 30% from that number for the purple plan. This was for Itrackbites only though.
