Good Morning!!!
I had a good day yesterday despite deciding to grab supper at Wendy's. I had a side salad and poured 3/4 of my chili on it. The DH and I shared a small Frosty and still managed to stay OP.
Carol: Great job with your exercise.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good Morning Walkers! This am I marched around on the deck 20 mins = 1 mile. First exercise since Saturday's hike. I was pretty sore for several days after that but plan to go again this Saturday am. Sat night DGD age 5 spent the night and Sunday DH and I took DD1 & the DGDs on the bay in an electric rental boat. Today is DGD 5 yo's first day of kindergarten Yesterday was 2 yo DGD's first day of preschool! Growing and changing. Pulls at my heartstrings. Yesterday only fruit & 1 tsp pumpkin seeds for evening snack, green zone of pts and JWTB 10 pm yay! I had an urge to eat DH's peanut butter pretzels but let it go without acting on it. Thank you God. AMY - 12 eggs a day is way too much. Not healthy. I hope you will work with a nutritionist and get back to fruit, vegs, lentils, beans, whole grains, nuts and seeds, balanced meals in moderation. CAROL - sounds like a good eclipse day. Are you a teacher? KELLY - the puppy is adorable. Hope the family pets come to accept him. GFY yesterday, Miles, steps, water, calories. Waving at everyone! Have a great day! Best wishes Cait

Good Morning,
I had a good time last night. Over calories for the day with the meal out and drinks though. Did get in 3.5 miles of exercise, 80 oz of water,12126 steps for the day.
Our house is a zoo while getting used to Sadie. She is doing well with housetraining. Baxter, the other dog has accepted her now. The cats just run when she tries to play with them. The funniest part is our largest cat close to 20 lbs is scared of her. He could whip her but if he wanted. WATP/Exercise= 74.5 miles, Fitbit= 100.66 miles Amy: hOpe you are feeling better. I agree with Cait and think you need a nutritionist to assist with a proper diet for your symptoms. Sounds like they are checking for H pylori. Have they ever tested for Celiac disease as that can cause stomach issues too.
Cait: Sounds like you are having a great week. I know the feeling the DHs youngest Grandson started Kindergarten and he is doing pee wee Football this year.
Waving to all. Happy walking!!
WATP/Exercise= 78 miles, Fitbit= 105.6 miles

Good Morning Walkers! Last night I marched in place while we watched TV 1 hour = 3 Miles and used free weights a bit. Green zone of pts and JWTB around 10 pm. Yay! This am up about 6:20 and went to "meetup" walk up Signal Hill. I did 3.3 Miles. The others were going to do more, about 6 miles but I wanted to get home to DH. He wants to go to the farmers market this am. Tomorrow we're going to walk to breakfast and then go check out a gym that takes "Silver Sneakers." DH is not eager for the gym. We shall see. It's free for us through our medical insurance. Trying to get back to exercising 1 hour a day or so, 3 Miles, most days. Praying that our friend KC and her DH are ok - Corpus Christi got hit hard by the hurricane. They have good family so I assume they went to stay with kids. KELLY - Sounds like wild times at your house! GFY with Miles, steps & water. Probably you made "better than" choices on the food and drinks. AMY - Will your medical plan pay for a nutritionist? That could really help. I find I do best with balanced meals of veg, whole grains, legumes, fruit, and a little nuts/seeds. I get plenty of protein in plant foods and they are alkaline, not acid like the dairy products. For 90% of people, protein is not a problem - lack of fiber is much more of a concern. Here are two videos (and you can read a transcript if you prefer) on protein and nutrition: nutritionfacts.org/video/the-great-protein-fiasco/nutritionfacts.org/video/do-vegetarians-get-enough-protein/Best wishes Cait

Sounds like everyone is busy, busy, busy! New puppies and grandkids growing up are fun challenges, for sure! Yes, I am a teacher at our state university. I teach in the English Department, mostly to undergraduate first-year writers (we used to call it "freshman comp," so you might know that course) who are international students. Usually it's a lot of fun, but work, too, of course. Amy, glad you're feeling better and trying to learn about healthy eating. Cait, the meet-up sounds fun. Is it the same group as last week? Kelly, little Sadie is really shaking things up! I haven't posted in a while, but I went to AquaFit Wednesday and Friday, so 4 miles for that. I also got in one mile of campus walking both days. I had planned to work out Thursday, but I forgot we had planned a neighborhood ladies' good-bye dinner with a gal who is moving. Ate Mexican food instead of working out 51/250 miles 700 stairs 80 stretching
