I would much rather WW honored LTM if you are within your healthy weight range (or a range specified by your doctor), and not require you to stay within such a restricted narrow weight range. To me, this just encourages a diet mentality. For a company that advocates a holistic approach "beyond the scale", it just seems a glaring contradiction, and a way to make money even after you have reached goal.
If attendance is up 20% in the States, I would love to see what the international figures are.
I'm sorry to say I regret taking advantage of the Flash Sale and purchasing 6 months of meetings in advance, but there is a silver lining. I've been tossing up whether to leave WW or not...wanting to because they don't support LTM enough, not wanting to because of my emotional attachment to the company. The changes I have seen this go around have made the decision to leave them so much easier. When my time is up in December/January, I will be able to walk away with no regrets.

Wow, I am shocked that it is so different there. $80 a month?? No free etools?? How can they even do that? Could it possibly be what we call franchises here ? We don't have franchising here, and not sure if we're run by WW Australia or WW International (my guess is it's WW Australia). I see ppl on Connect all the time saying they've reached goal but will be leaving Connect because they don't want to pay "the special LTM rate" of $28 a month to use Connect/eTools....only to come back within a few months saying they missed their Connect friends and their weight was increasing when they couldn't track on eTools.

While I like tracking with etools on my computer and phone, there are so many free or very low cost apps now for tracking so that isn't an incentive for me. I really don't pay attention to the final point count at the end of the day because, for me, Smart Points seems off. I still miss Points Plus!

International subscriptions are up as well, a little less than in the US as I recall. Your meetings sound really bad and I wonder if it is because they switched sites and people just haven't found the new locations? The thing about no free eTools is interesting.
Honestly, in a way, if I was a new WW member and didn't want to attend to physical meetings I don't think I would be inclined to be an online member. I am not sure it brings enough value to be worth it. That said, from what I've seen at the earnings call I think Connect is very successful for WW. Before Connect I always thought that online wasn't really that valuable. Yes, you got the food plan but there are a lot of food plans out there. I would probably just calorie count (which I do in addition to points - I dual track) if I wasn't going to meetings. Yes, I liked the old message boards (hence why I am here, of course). But, they were open to everyone, member or not. So they weren't a reason to pay for WW online. But, Connect is a reason. And, I think a lot of people who don't go to meetings can get a sense of community through Connect that for some can take the place of meetings. For those who do enjoy it, I can see that it would be a reason to pay for online.

i have no idea why, but last night i had a dream that i signed up again for an online membership and was feeling sad that i had to re-download the WW app knowing i hadn't liked it much the first time around. so strange.

I have been paying for Online Only for 5 years now.I think it has been worth it because I lost 200 lbs and am below the upper end of the WW goal for me which was 141.If I were to go to meetings they would probably tell me to set a new goal.I also double track to make sure I get enough calories/macros in although I have just started that again in the last 2 weeks.I have never lost weight counting calories so that is why I am now choosing to count calories again.I don't want to lose any more weight which is something I never thought I would say. Yes,I have spent a lot of money on WW but it proved a purpose bc I couldn't lose weight any other way.I had decided I was going to cancel my membership and when I tried they offered me a free month so I decided I wouldn't feel like I was wasting money if I didn't track points every day. I need the support of others in an online setting but have not felt the need for meetings support since I first made LT before there was an online only version and I haven't stayed for Connect because it's not my thing.I tried it a few times but don't care to use the app that much.I do like the stories of how excited people get over losing a good amount in a week but I get all the support I need right here and before here on the WW message boards. linda72,I have found some foods on the WW database incorrect as to the number of SP in a couple of foods I eat by looking them up on MFP or Fitbit first so there can be a discrepancy in SP to calories.Fage 2% plain Greek yogurt for one. They have it listed as 5 Sp for 1 cup which would be correct. However I buy the 7 oz containers and they are 150 calories and with the macros WW uses it comes out to 4 SP.So you can be right on SP being off sometimes but I must say they get the majority of my foods correct in SP.

We are free to choose any goal weight in that range. I've changed mine twice, it was too hard for me to stay at the goal I set. I also know quite a few ww'ers who set their goal high in their range so they have a cushion. I've never felt as a LT member that they are just trying to get my money. Sadly, there are plenty of truly overweight people to fill my spot. All in all, I feel treated fairly as a LT member and I appreciate having what is essentially a monthly pass... for free. I also appreciate the boundary they set for me since I clearly can't set that boundary for myself.

borntexanYou are my inspiration, Becky. You live in a small town without all the bells and whistles others have. No personal trainers or meetings yet you've stayed the course and more.

Thanks so much jamescat1.Audrey you are also an inspiration the way you are eating healthy on your trip.I doubt I would go to all that trouble and just start over when I got home. Have any Android users had problems with the latest WW app update?I had an update this morning and now I can't log into my smartphone.I did cancel but was given a free month and it still works on my laptop.I just think it's strange they said something like they found a former account for me but I could always sign up again.

Becky today I've had to delete the app twice and reinstall on my phone. I've had no issues with the iPad.

@beckyw2016, I was staff when they came out with the free e-tools, but I always thought it would be *worth it* to me to keep paying. I salute you!

Thanks to the Android users. My update was this morning.I don't use it very often and I did uninstall it and reinstalled it once but I thought it was odd the problem was only on my smartphone and not on my laptop.I thought it may have been since I was getting a free month of e-tools.I may try it again.

@beckyw2016, I went to check my WW app on my Android phone and there were no posts under Connect, because of that I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. It works fine now.
