Dina - Ouch! Mike - They are bundling it at my meeting for $31.99 for the book, magazine, tote and something else I forgot. A little snow but the roads are clear. It's cold but fortunately not windy.

I'm IN.
This is my first post from the Kindle that the Big'Uns & Littl'Uns gifted me for Christmas. Finally - a way to stay connected when I'm not at my desktop computer (no smartphone yet).
Dina - prayers for your DH.
Sunny here but we got enough light snow overnight for random slick spots. And given the number of drivers who have NO idea how to be safe on snow/ice, it makes for an interesting start to the day.
It is, however, Friday - Epiphany, Little Christmas, Feast of the Three Kings. We have one more party to attend tomorrow and the decorations can be put away this weekend. It's been a fun season.
Got to figure out how to remember better for personals... doggone this CRS anyway...
Have a healthy-eating day, all!

Good morning. I still have my Christmas decorations up but it is probably a good time to start taking some down, at least my Christmas tree. It is a fiber optic tree, and the light has burned out in the base. I didn't think Epiphany was until a week after Christmas, which would be Sunday the 8th. At least that is the day it is in the Catholic church. I got my new laptop computer yesterday and I'm still playing with it and learning. One of the features it has that I like is a lighted keyboard. It is my Christmas present from my kids. Today I'm not doing much more than staying inside, keeping warm, getting in a little exercise, and doing a little cleaning. It is cold here too, has been for awhile, and not much prospect of it warming up any time soon. Overnight low was -12 and it is now a whole 0. Have a good day, everyone. Calendar date of Epiphany is 1/6. Church observance moves liturgical celebration to the Sunday after 1/1 (since Jan 1 is its own holy day, Sunday or not).

Happy Feast of the Three Kings! I always recall when I lived in a little village in Germany (DH was in the Army, that's how we happened upon that) and Christmas was not so much a big deal like in the U.S., but on this day the town children dressed up as the Magi and went door to door getting treats, similar to our Halloween.

Morning all thanks for kicking us off pbnj . zazzles it right she is a Cindy Williams doppelgänger! Still dealing with the m-word. I asked him to lower the pred shot dose with the infusion this time so it is my own dumb arse fault, at least I am only semiplowing through the food this time dina , great news about your DH although back pain is miserable. linda72 , @beckyw2016, & dina EEK it is cold, the rest of you can just ignore that because I am sure you are laughing at us anyway 😛 Have a great day everyone!

It snowed a little in my neck of the woods, but not enough to cause any delays. But my hubby is home today because he needs to go to the doctor for his eye. Luckily this doctor is local.
Hope everyone enjoys their day!

Dina, I hope your DH feels better soon. It was 31 when I walked this morning and 52 at the same time yesterday. We are expecting a winter storm throughout the weekend and into next week. Yosemite is planning to close all access roads this weekend. I am baking muffins this morning for a meeting on Monday and not sure what will happen the rest of the day.

Good news about DH, Dina. Not that back, pain is a picnic.
Mike, I have floaters something awful. They affect my vision to the extent of seeing "things" on the road & it was actually floaters. Also, keep thinking gnats are swirling around my face. So annoying. They do lessen a lot but then they come back just as bad again. I didn't think there was anything you can do about them. Is that not true?

Yup, headed to an Episcopal church tonight...nice when J and I can go to church together.

I used to go into NYC to Smokey Mary's every now and then... I think Kathy might know to which church I refer...

No rain here but cold.I think we are having a warm front. It's gone from 28 to 31 now.The wind is too high here to go for a walk so due to my knee I'm trying to just do the exercise bike 15 min at a time if Scooter lets me.She did let me this morning.
ksbruns,One person told me it was a series of 3 shots but then she said she thought it was just 1 now.I will find out next Thursday if I'm even a candidate for them.I find stretching my leg from time to time helps but my right leg still won't straighten all the way.
dina,I'm glad your DH got pain meds for his back.
linda72,Good luck at WI if you decide to venture out.
My home WI(online only)was today and I lost 2 lbs.Yea.

@beckyw2016 I did venture out in the freezing rain for my monthly WI. I came in at goal and got my etools voucher...yea! I'm good until July, 2020. I got the new materials and stayed for the meeting. It was a lively group with lots of interaction. I may have to come back to this meeting. The materials look nice; didn't see anything new but it's helping me recommitt for another year. Right now, at noon, it's 32 degrees but the blowing rain has stopped. We're looking for a 27 degree low tomorrow and waaahhh! that's too cold for this Texan! LOL! Don't mean to whine to my northern friends. At least this will be brief. The predicted high for next Thursday is 78!!
