zazzles and sullicat1 Some floaters 'disappear' or fade with time, others are more permanent. I have a really large one that formed after a retinal tear. It is extremely annoying especially in bright light (or looking at a blue sky). There are surgeries to lesson them but it can be dangerous (I'm not a candidate due to retinal problems) My opthamalogist tells me to expect more with age. Oh, yaaah... dina Glad no kidney stones but back pain is not fun either. Hope he gets some relief. After a wonderful AiChi class today (I do love it!) and then the Flex and Tone (aka Killer Pull&Stretch) I "bit the bullet" and headed to Weight Watchers. It's my one year anniversary week so I just could not see missing it. Besides I was just too curious about the new materials. My home scale must have LIED TO ME this morning because I'm down 1.6. YEAH!! Good bye Christmas cookies...hello another month's e-tool voucher!!

@beckyw2016 I did venture out in the freezing rain for my monthly WI. I came in at goal and got my etools voucher...yea! I'm good until July, 2020. I got the new materials and stayed for the meeting. It was a lively group with lots of interaction. I may have to come back to this meeting. The materials look nice; didn't see anything new but it's helping me recommitt for another year. Right now, at noon, it's 32 degrees but the blowing rain has stopped. We're looking for a 27 degree low tomorrow and waaahhh! that's too cold for this Texan! LOL! Don't mean to whine to my northern friends. At least this will be brief. The predicted high for next Thursday is 78!! Congrats linda72.I like your pic and that is so true for us sissy Texans.I think it's supposed to get back in the 70's here on Tuesday. It's 32 here now with a blustery wind. It's so cold my dog doesn't even want out.

Sun is bright and no snow falling. The temps are in the 20's. Definitely staying in today! Higher temps this weekend. Thanks to sister who drove us to the game last night and to sister in law who got the tickets for us, we had a great night, watched the Spurs win, and had no chocolate and nuts! Yay! Definitely OP today and moving forward. Have a great day everyone.

Good news about DH, Dina. Not that back, pain is a picnic. Mike, I have floaters something awful. They affect my vision to the extent of seeing "things" on the road & it was actually floaters. Also, keep thinking gnats are swirling around my face. So annoying. They do lessen a lot but then they come back just as bad again. I didn't think there was anything you can do about them. Is that not true? I just got back from the doctor. He said there is absolutely nothng that can be done about them. He says the will dissipate in time (two weeks to many months) by slowly sinking to the bottom of the fluid in the eye (apparently it is gelatinous).
And I’m having precisely the problem you describe—keep thinking there are bugs all around me. Makes me think that not every psychiatric patient who sees bugs is actually suffering from mental illness!
Fortunately for me I am Amblyoptic and the affected eye is my weak one so my brain is already used to suppressing a lot of imagery from it. The doctor did say the brain will begin to ignore the “spots” somewhat over time.

zazzles When DH had cataract surgery, all of his floaters disappeared! He was so happy. Maybe cataracts aren't so bad. He used to swat at them all the time and it was very distracting.

The spots are definitelyt more annoying against solid, light-colored backgrounds. Every once in a while I catch the white wall in my peripheral vision and think I see a bug. Last night it was the kitchen counter and I almost smacked at the “bug." My Opto also said it comes with age. Like you said, “yaaah,” something else to look forward to. . . . Congratulations on a successful weigh-in and the qcquisition of another eTools voucher. WTG!

I’m more bothered by the squeak a door at the Library has developed because it is the exact pitch of my burglar alarm at home and everty time I open that door and it squeaks my heart starts to race thinking I’ve set off a false alarm! I guess there’s a treatment for that (the door)—WD40. I’ll have to mention it to the building manager.

I used to go into NYC to Smokey Mary's every now and then... I think Kathy might know to which church I refer... LOL, oh yes, I do. Jeremy's idea of a good church is being knocked over by the incense when we walk in! That's one of his current perks.

No rain here but cold.I think we are having a warm front. It's gone from 28 to 31 now.The wind is too high here to go for a walk so due to my knee I'm trying to just do the exercise bike 15 min at a time if Scooter lets me.She did let me this morning.
ksbruns ,One person told me it was a series of 3 shots but then she said she thought it was just 1 now.I will find out next Thursday if I'm even a candidate for them.I find stretching my leg from time to time helps but my right leg still won't straighten all the way.
dina ,I'm glad your DH got pain meds for his back.
linda72 ,Good luck at WI if you decide to venture out.
My home WI(online only)was today and I lost 2 lbs.Yea. I presume it's still 3 shots, unless my ortho doc is behind the times! Maybe there are different versions. He said if it didn't help, I could always have another cortisone shot, LOL.

Thanks pbnj for the tag and birthday wishes! Little Christmas, yes mom named me Natalie (Christmas child) and purposefully scheduled her C-section for this day. WI was down 3.6 this morning, so it was the start of a good birthday! It's 46 degrees here in the SoCal mountains, some of the snow is melting. Just got in from a muddy little hike here. Have a good day all!

antgnat,Happy Birthday and WTG on the loss to start off your birthday.
ksbruns,I doubt your Dr is behind the times.I still haven't found out if I'm even a candidate for the injections no matter how many they are plus my NP said from the looks of my x-ray the cortisone shot wouldn't help.
