I just looked through the new pocket guide and compared it to the older one. The 2 pages of 0 point foods has been substituted for the 6 pages about Simply Filling and the rest of the new guide is identical to the older one.

I got my materials as a meetings member at last Sunday's meeting. When I got home I read all the materials that I received. In the Introduction to Freestyle booklet, there's a general, basic, list of zero point foods. At the end of the list, it says - for a complete list, go to the website or the Pocket Guide. I didn't receive a Pocket Guide, so I planned to ask for it at the next meeting I go to. Now I see that it's not being given out with the rest of the packet.
I also asked for a Maintenance booklet, and a Simply Filling booklet. I was given the one for Simply Filling, but was told there wasn't a new one for Maintenance. But then another receptionist found one and gave it to me - the new one for Freestyle.

We weren't given a pocket guide but our leader told us one was available. We just had to ask one of the receptionists after the meeting. I didn't bother but there were a few ladies that asked for one.

She did say to get one if you don't use e-tools for tracking as we have some members that still use paper. I believe that is what it was the intended reason for it. To supplement the folks who still use paper and calculator.

LMAO Deb...actually I did't go in to get it. I had more surgery the day before and sent my DH on a 'mercy mission' and they handed it all over to him...no questions asked!

The pocket guide was not mentioned in my netting which is why I am irritated. And there's a maintenance booklet, never got that either... I agree that it should've been mentioned but I'm sure it depends on the leader. Possibly she was more concerned with getting the new program info out there & answering questions. It's a lot of info to go over in a short amount of time.

Are you saying there is a new maintenance booklet that was for the new plan? We only go through maintenance once when we hit goal the first time and then maintain for 6 weeks before we get lifetime. As lifetime we never really go through maintenance again but it would be nice if we got more guidance other than just changing our tracker and getting more points.

The pocket guide is mainly for "pay weekly " members who don't have the app. Others can have it if they ask for one. That's the directive from our franchise. As a leader I've had very few monthly pass members ask for it. Everything in it is all available to them online.

Still bitter lol. Going to ask for one this week at my meeting. I love the app; however, I love having paper materials to read, dissect, and analyze. lol.

I use the app to look up specific items, but I browse the pocket guide to quickly survey foods that I might not have thought of.

It would definitely be a waste to hand pocket guides out to everyone since the vast majority of members probably don't use it (and when I joined a few months ago I didn't get one - didn't even think about that until now). I know at my meeting someone asked for it in the meeting and they gave it to her, but no one else expressed any interest.

The maintenance booklet just tells you to add 5 smart points the first week to see how you do. Same deal as the other points programs.
When Carl went in, he just handed them my weigh in booklet and asked for the new program materials...they also gave him the 'charm' that was due LOL....
Apparently it does depend on where you go to a meeting...which, in my opinion just plain stinks! They should willingly hand over everything they have.
