Celeste I hope you can get your digestive issues solved soon.I saw a commercial on Xifaxin. I didn't know that was the expensive one you were talking in.Probably the only time you would have GERD with a snack is if it was too heavy for your tummy.I got in my steps today and the wind wasn't as bad as I first thought. We are expecting a high of 67 tomorrow which would be comfortable but we may go to Taylor tomorrow so I'm not sure if I will get a walk in or not. When do you leave on your trip?I got an email about a run bet and I said you have got to be kidding.I do good to walk some days.
Steph I'm glad you only have 3 days left. You need a rest.

EGADS STEPH thank goodness for Christmas break.
BECKY, I got that RUNBET thing and thought the same thing. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? hahaha. I got my 9.4K+ in. Fairly nice outside even though cold. There was an ambulance/EMT and a fire engine about 10 houses from me. Hope they're OK
My son in law's dad just died this past weekend in Fort Lauderdale. He fell in the shower and had bleeding on the brain in 3 places. My feeling is he fell BECAUSE he had bleeding on the brain in 3 places. He was brain dead by the time they got him to the hospital. Christopher is still there and may stay thru the end of the year. He has a bona fide sociopathic brother (the mother's favorite child!!!!) that lives close by her, but he's ALREADY been in the house and taken the father's ROLEX and jewelry b/c "Dad would want me to have it". WHAAAAAAAAT. The dad is barely cold. The mother is falling apart. But he has the balls to go to their house and take valuables??? This guy has stolen credit cards from his parents many times (He's 35, not a kid), and he also stole Christopher's identity and ran up bills and ruined his and Meridith's credit until they hired a detective and then hired someone to "fix things". He's a piece of work. He lives only 35 minutes from the parents, but has hardly been with the mother at all the entire time. Probably has to do his important work at his job as a bar tender. What a freaking mess. Meridith was there for the weekend but she had to come home for work and to take care of the cat. Hotels have tons of end of year crap they have to do financially. She'll go back out as planned for Christmas on the 21st and back home on Christmas day. Good thing this pregnancy is going so well (fingers crossed).
Draining day for everyone here. Night all.

Ha Steph ...mean as a skunk 😡 yikes!! I don’t miss stuff like that at all. Hang in there ... don’t land in jail...
Becky....seems like we have few days without wind. Today was one of them. Yesterday it was terrible & tomorrow it is supposed to be that way again.
Celeste....what a terrible situation for your son in law. That brother sounds like a ........not very nice person ( to put it politely).
Connie...how annoying about you glasses. Could they call last week when you were off ? Arghhh.
Raced around all day...got quite a bit of what I wanted to do done. The next 2 days will be intense, too. DD arrives Thurs evening / leaves Sat morning...DS arrive Friday midday/ leaving Monday ...then everyone returns the following Friday for Christmas...better pick up my pace. Actually... better hit the hay so I can get an early start again tomorrow.
Good night ladies! 💤

Louise....I was awake then, too 😳. Thinking about everything to do yet. Finally dozed off....but now it’s off to the races! I had. FB flex...liked it. Ordered a FB. Alta on Black Friday & got the empty box...still unresolved. Becky likes the FB Charge I think.
Sandy....what a fun Christmas you have set up /planned! I love the idea of decorating the tree with pics! My tree is in the family room...it is gorgeous with the ornaments I have collected over the years. But it is downstairs, & are seldom down there. Thought about getting a small one for the living room, but didn’t want to have to get just plain ornaments. Decorating with snapshots from the past year would be so cool. Not sure I can pull that off this yr, but will sure keep it in mind.
Waves to all...gotta get crack a lack in

Celeste I'm so sorry about your SIL's dad and I can't believe his brother would do something like that.I hope Meredith's pregnancy continues to go well.
Angie the wind is down this morning and it's a good thing. We had a low of 27 but it's supposed to get up to a beautiful 67.
Sandy what a wonderful gift to give each person.
Louise I like the Fitbit Charge 2 but there are cheaper models. Are you doing Freestyle? You will like the Alta HR i think.I did but like the Charge 2 better.Free is always better though.
We are going to Taylor for Christmas shopping today and of course we will find time to stop at the buffet for lunch.

ANGIE that brother of CHristopher's is so much like Ted Bundy. Makes friends so easily. People that don't know him well just rave about how handsome and smart and friendly he is. But with him there's ALWAYS a purpose. I wouldn't trust him EVER in my home. He's the handsome face of evil and yet he was BY FAR the apple of his parents' eye. He could do no wrong and they'd cover for him and pay for is indiscretions. Steal a car and wreck it? No problem. Mom and dad will take care of it... AND buy him a car so he doesn't have to steal one. But the psychological damage it has done to Christopher who really IS smart and kind and sweet, but shy and self effacing... makes both Meridith and me very very pissed. Luckily this has made Meridith draw a line in the sand. She's reluctantly gone along w/ Chris as far as giving Jamie 2nd and 22nd chances. But this is IT. She said "he's dead as far as I'm concerned." SOMEONE has to take a stand against that monster. ANGIE I'm calling your B&B "The Inn of the Revolving Door". LOL
SANDY so true. Sometimes death will bring out the best in people. But when people have no "best" it magnifies their worst. I mean seriously? The man is dead less than 24 hours and he's in there essentially looting? And no one says anything to him of course. Your Christmas at the ranch house sounds like the things memories are made of. I guess your immediate plans are to keep it in the family? THE SHEETS COMPOUND haha
LOUISE I love my ALTA. I just got the Ionic and neither Bob nor I can get it to sync w/ my phone app. I have to physically attach it to my laptop. So far not a fan.
BECKY I'll email you my CHristmas list and you can pick up a few items for my kids and BOB.... thanks. You're a real BUDDY!! hahaha
OK time to go to WW. I haven't tracked a mouthful or weighed or measured. I have to get past this dang FODMAP. When I signed on for the new WW program, i wasn't on this stuff. But I haven't cheated one bit in 2 weeks. It's definitely not a weight loss program, but getting healthy is my priority. But I don't want to start skipping WW before I even get started and I assume they'll address more on the new program. So I'm off.

Hi all …busy day yesterday for me, and if you ask me today, I can’t remember all that kept me busy!
I can’t get my dang FB to sync – I’ve tried everything I can think of and will go back and on line for recommended fixes.
STEPH oh boy, that does sound exhausting but hey, they ASKED for it! Just think…TGIF TGIF TGIF
CELSETE yowsers on Christopher’s family. I’m sorry to hear that about his dad, and his brother needs to be bit..-slapped (obviously THAT hasn’t happened much in his life). That kind of behavior absolutely turns my stomach. I have NO tolerance, sympathy or excuses for people like that. Talk about stress for Meridith & Chris! And I rejoined WW on the special, but I too have not tracked or weighed or measured yet. You are doing the right thing by getting on a healthy path first. I have just not committed these past two days because I knew I would have some things going on. It probably will not happen until the end of next week to be honest.
SANDY aww, Katy looks like a princess in that picture. It sounds like you have a peaceful, magical Christmas planned. Love the idea.
LOUISE I really like the FB Charge 2 (well, when it syncs – honestly, this is the first time I’ve had trouble). It’s easy, has all the info I need and looks good. There are several out there that are good though, but pretty sure I’ll stick with it.
I have also been waking up early. Like 4am. Weird. In my case though, I think because I’ve been taking an IB 800 at bedtime, I don’t hurt and sleep sound. So I require less sleep.
Ok back to work. Yesterday we had a major glitch thrown into a process I’ve worked my arse off to revise and implement. Came from the top down so now I’m back at that. Not happy about it either, as I (and my whole department) is fully supporting the change, but … when it’s a “count” ($$) year, well all bets are off for anything that will interfere with that. Yes, I do sound a bit resentful about it, but education is money game too, like it or not.

Oh - my foot feels pretty good today. Yesterday was day #1 of applying Santyl to the wound. It just felt good to take off the bandages and let it air so to speak. I worked on filing and peeling back dead/dry skin, washed, moisturized, and massaged it to get some circulation going. I know that sounds weird, but that dang foot has been bandaged for 9 weeks! It still had doctor's initials on the foot, since I have not been able to get at it to wash it. I got it bandaged back up and today and, other than some slight burning, it is good. I may try to use the boot tomorrow - if not to walk, just to flex it some.

SUZE Bob is a lot more tech savvy than I am and he tried so hard to get my Ionic to sync w/ my phone app and he had to give up. We tried all the fixes like "remove any other FB's from the phone app. Remove any other FB's from the immediate vicinity. Unlink Ionic and link again" And since I'm doing this StepBet, I'm worried about messing up my step count so I'll deal with it after my SB is finished. Already over 25% of the initial StepBet participants have dropped out. I don't want to be one of them. I signed up BEFORE FODMAP but in the long run it was on half price sale and I have only 6 more weeks and then I can add things back in. I HAVE to say, I'm enjoying potatoes and I didn't even know how much I LOVED them. And AMEN on education being a money game. Tuition. Grants, donations, endowments. Same with hospitals. Yeah they're there for the greater good but w/o the cold hard cash... well adios.
So I'm down 2.2 lbs this week. NOTHING to do with WW or tracking or weighing or measuring. More to do with (other than taters and meat) there's not a lot that I like to eat on FODMAP. Yesterday: 2 coffees w/ coconut cream Meal 1: is the same as before. 3 bacons, 2 eggs, but i added 1 slice gluten free toast w/ 1 tsp butter. Meal 2: is dinner time. Last night I made the BEST ribs. I had to make my own rub AND my own BBQ sauce since everything has garlic and/or onions. But it was worth it. Had a wedge salad.
AND NO STOMACH PAIN OR GERD LAST NIGHT! Instead of cheese or gluten free Thin Mints either or both of which KILLED me, I had a bedtime snack of gluten free toast w/ small am't butter.
TODAY: coffee x2 w/ coconut cream Meal 1: 2 eggs, 3 bacon, 1 slice gluten free toast Meal 2: left over ribs, home made vegetable beef soup Bedtime snack: 2 gluten free toasts w/ 1 tsp grassfed butter on each.

CELESTE The FB finally synced. It’s like all of a sudden it said “ok, I’ll do it.” Sheesh. I signed up for WW on Monday while the special was on. Now to sign up my head for the same program. Good for you on dropping that 2.2 – the plan doesn’t sound that great, but it sounds like it is helping. What dates are you going to MO?
Is it Christmas break yet? I'm so ready - not that I'm doing anything, it's just hard to concentrate when things are winding down.

Sorry Celeste.I didn't read your post before I went shopping.I had enough trouble shopping myself.Kenneth got what he wanted and I got part of what I wanted. After 33 years when we want something we usually buy it so it's hard to surprise each other.I need to buy for a friend too.I didn't know if you would still be going to WW or not with the Fodmap list.I decided after 2 days to go back to the original SP.Freestyle just doesn't work for me.Even if it comes up with 0 points I still track points for it unless it's f&v.I can't imagine how stressful Christopher is going thru with his brother.
Suze the only time I have trouble syncing my Charge 2 is on my cell.It seems to take forever.I hope things work out at your office. If you get WW freestyle to work let me know.I don't eat enough of their new zero points to fool with it.
Celeste did you buy an Ionic? It's nice but too rich for my bank account.Congrats on your loss.Your diet doesn't sound very appealing but your health is what's most important.
