SUZE I decided I'd go to the meetings even though I'm not doing the program, and see what I could glean and to see if it would help put me in the mood. Also that moment at the scale for me has always been the single thing that keeps me most accountable. It was interesting today, with this being the 1st week weigh in since the program started. Some of the comments: "I eat a lot of zero point meals (they talked about a 0 point turkey chili) and then at night I have like 15 points left over and I wind up eating a bunch of junk." or "I can't wrap my head around all this being 0 points" OR I don't LIKE the 0 point foods. I don't LIKE beans and peas and chicken and turkey breast so it's hard to eat only 23 points". But I'd say the majority are liking it, but having trouble w/ the concept. Since I can't have peas or beans (which would be the best thing about the new program), I'm not sure how well I'd do on it since I am not enamored w/ chicken and turkey breast (yuck). But if I get to the point where I can eat beans and peas, I might like it b/c I love beans. And luckily I have the best leader. She's a regional leader and teaches WW leaders, and she only teaches one class a week. Wednesday at noon. She makes the class interesting and though she doesn't cut anyone any slack she DOES understand and isn't a Nazi about it. She lost 132 pounds about 8 years ago. She's very motivating.
I'd say for those who really enjoy chicken and turkey breast as well as beans, peas and a few other things, this might be the easiest program ever as far as not going hungry and not having to track EVERYTHING.
BECKY I did buy an Ionic a while ago on pre-sale. I finally got it and it does so much stuff that I don't need it to do. What i wanted was a device that showed me exactly how many steps I have (like 7,321 instead of 7.3K) AND is swim proof and this is the only one that does that. I'll worry about syncing it next year when this damn StepBet is over. I have 2 1/2 weeks left.
LOUISE I've been there done that on chips and stuff. But YOU DO have self control if you threw them away. Good for you. If there is a bag of Lays Potato chips as big as a sack of dirty laundry.... I'll eat that entire dang thing. In one sitting. And enjoy every single chip. Until the next morning when I feel like crap.
Got my 7, 341 steps or whatever I needed.
But for now I'm ready for bed. Good night kids.

Lulu went missing for the last two hours. Talk about panic. After two hours I Thought this was going up end badly... been riding my scooter around the streets and also in my car calling. I went out one more time and when I got back she was at the driveway. I am stressed out and about at the end of my rope. Lulu is fine, thank God. I have to look for how she got out. I have no idea how to get around tge fence to look. I'll try to figure it out tomorrow.
I sort of regret joining Ww again. When ready its going to be low carb for me.. it may work out with the plan ...whatever.

I'm really loving the idea of freestyle, but can't seem to stay out of the cookies and pizza and whatever else sounds good! I knew this would be a problem. I have 1 week before my re-scheduled life insurance physical and I need to be below 184 pounds or they won't cover me...at least not at the quoted rate. This evening when I got up I was 183 buck nekkid. Time to cut the crap and get serious.
Last night at work was crazy stressful. Took forever to wind down so I could sleep. While I was trying, I booked our airfare and paid our room deposit for Bonaire. Did I mention we are down to 2 couples going? Amazing how people drop out when you need their MONEY. Tonight I need to buy some travel insurance. Was excited to save $300 by booking on Priceline. Had to book without knowing airline and flight times, but was willing to do it because so few flights go there that it had to be one of the ones I looked at on Expedia.....It was in fact the EXACT FLIGHT I was ready to book anyway. Same for the entire round trip. That worked out!
I was ready to strangle Joe tonight. He informed me that we are driving to South Carolina next weekend to meet Jess so we can give him their Christmas gifts. Ummmmm....wish you had told me that sooner. I had planned to quilt the first part of the week, then go to my parents' on Friday to drop off gifts, then enjoy the weekend at home as OUR Christmas. Now I don't know when we will go to my parents' because DH doesn't get home from work till almost 6pm and then we would have an hour's drive down and back. And I thought his sisters would come over on Sunday to exchange gifts. Now, who knows?!

SUZE- thank goodness LuLu is home safe. What a relief!
CELESTE- you make me want to do a step bet. Maybe after the holidays (along with all the other "I'll start after the first of the year" fitness buffs.) 😊

Well, the devil lost not once but twice last night, at two and four. I was able to go back to sleep both times.
Since I didn’t make a sams run yesterday, that’s on my agenda for today!

CELESTE I know I haven’t gotten into it yet, but for me it would be easier to track the “0” pt foods like everything else. But I have gotten away from just chicken and turkey breast, and enjoy a variety of protein per a LC plan. So that would be something I would track anyway. The beans would be a bonus though and I agree, it could be a good program for a lot of people, including me if I can get my head in it. I think I'll read through a little more information. Your leader sounds great and wow on taking off 132lb and keeping it off!
SANDY you do well on lchf. You’ll get back in the game – I don’t see that you’ve gone that far off the rails anyway.
CONNIE it’s so hard this time of year for a lot of reasons. You can buckle down to make sure your insurance WI is where you want it to be. WTG on the Priceline savings! Men! Don’t even get me started this morning.
Tired this morning after last night’s excitement. I bet my neighbors thought I was insane (don’t care). I’m really tired from lack of sleep, and from the exertion of the whole thing. Lu was fine this am and did her normal thing, I’m hoping last night was a fluke, but I still need to find someone to check my fence.
Waving to everyone…have a good day.

SANDY if BOB and I ever come out and visit I'll be sure to bring a bag of Grandpa Dale's Chips for him and one for me so I don't have to share!!
SUZE you can do low carb w/ the new WW esp if you like chicken breast and turkey breast. HOWEVER the high fat part of LCHF or keto will screw you! My suggestion is, since you joined, try out the new program for a week or so. It may be a good surprise. That's what I tell myself anyway once I get off this FODMAP crap. I'm so glad LULU's adventure had a happy ending. My SPeedy got out twice (the only one of my greyhounds that ever did) and it was a panicky few hours. In 1 case the back gate didn't shut tight and in the other, a roofer NAILED my gate open. And in both cases I was freaking out. But when he got out I didn't have any mobility issues, just the issues.... greyhounds... 40mph... which way did he go?
haha YEAH CONNIE... Freestyle, LCHF, Keto.... those pizza and cookies don't really work well. GEEEEE if only there were a pizza/cookie diet. We'd all be all over that one. Is that 2 COUPLES BESIDES YOU? Or you and 1 other couple? And I can see you being a bit ticked at DH but telling me something like that 10 days before? That would be AMAZING. Bob never tells me (b/c he never KNOWS) until December 22 or so. And though I REALLY HATE IT, I have to say the StepBet has really made me get up and move my fat ass.
LOUISE I had a restless night but between waking periods I slept well. Some tummy issues. Which were resolved today after 2 doses of Miralax. I have to say currently my gut hasn't felt this good in ages. I may start taking Miralax at least every other night. I also added 2 TB of flax seed to my soup last night and I think that helped a LOT. Otherwise I find it hard to get in sufficient fiber on this FODMAP thing. As for the egg cooker... my only hints: DO NOT FORGET TO PIERCE THE HOLE IN THE TOP. Otherwise they get all cracked and oozy. Also I put the hole in the FAT end and put the NARROW end into the little rack thing. I also clean the residue left on the hot plate part w/ a little white vinegar. Cleans it right up. And I DO NOT use distilled water. I'm just too lazy to walk into the bathroom where my CPAP water is. But it's one of my very best investments. And now w/ the new program and eggs being free.... whoooooooooo hoooooooooooooo.
Bob starts his Keytruda IV infusion therapy today. I offered to drive him but he said he's fine. But i'll stick close to my phone in case they want me to come get him. But hopefully this will go fine. It's immunetherapy rather than strictly chemotherapy. If this doesn't work or if he can't keep up w/ the treatment, then more surgery which is only a bandaid. I mean after 20 mohs surgeries it's obvious that it's not the answer.
OH LAST STORY. So I told you how w/in 24 hours after his father dying, Christopher's brother was in the house stealing the dad's Rolex and a Chanel belt etc. So Christopher finally called him on it today. The mother just said "Oh I thought you'd grown up. I guess not." I MEAN HE'S 35... growing up is NOT the issue. Being a psycho w/ no moral compass is. Anyway, his excuse? "Well I drove over here so quickly I forgot my watch and belt." What person under the age of 60 doesn't have a cell phone that they carry with them hence ALWAYS has the time. What a bunch of hooey.

CELESTE I do see that fish and shellfish is also zero points, so that’s good, and this is the first time I’ve looked at the full list and there are a LOT of foods on it. Hmmmmm I could splurge with a protein other than chicken or turkey and use zero point vegetables/side to go with. I know I can do well if it’s not HF, but I have enjoyed some non-reduced calorie options lately. Especially mayo and butter.
I hope everything goes ok for Bob today.
I just bought myself ANOTHER gift. An 8” Kindle Fire. I really like my 7” and use it every day – the new one will be nice with a little larger screen, and it has Bluetooth & hotspot capability where the other did not. Mark wanted a 10”, so I order that for him, got the Amazon credit card that gave me $70 off – making my total $114 for both. They are on sale for: 7”-29.99, 8”- 49.99 and 119.99 for the 10”.
Just for the record, I CANNOT WAIT TO START GOING ON WALKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG CELESTE Christopher’s brother is a royal lying ASS and beyond.

YEAH SUZE I keep forgetting about fish and shellfish b/c Bob doesn't much like it so I rarely cook it. It's one of those "order it when I eat out" kinds of things. I do frequently have shrimp in the fridge and have it w/ cocktail sauce as a snack. And yeah on FullFat mayo, butter and cheese. SO much better than the LF versions and I cannot/will not eat fat free of any of those things. I'd rather work around lots of 0 point proteins and veggies (if I ever get off FODMAP) and have the real deal. OH AND SUZE!!! EGGS ARE ZERO. I knew you'd be excited!!
Well I don't know what possessed me to look at the Keytruda website. I wish I'd never done it. Now I'm all worried. I think they downplayed the side effects with him or he downplayed them with me. This is NOT GOOD.
We had a very busy schedule this coming weekend w/ 3 Christmas parties. I just called to cancel one of them. I may go to the other 2 events briefly solo if he's not up to it. I'm sure on a GOOD day, push comes to shove, he'd rather not go to parties.... man that boy will come up with any excuse to stay home!
This is so crappy. I finally was having a good 24 hours stomach wise and now I feel nauseated. I never should have read it.

Celeste on your Alta if you go into your account on the FB dashboard you can change the display where it will show actual steps. You can choose vertical or horizontal and it will show your steps.I hope you enjoy your Ionic after you get it synced.
I'm glad Lulu is safe Suze. I'm doing WW but not the Freestyle plan.I'm just doing regular SP and adding the points for everything except f&v.I find it easier b/c unless you are making homemade beans or getting ff refried beans in a can beans aren't 0 points and I will not pay $6 for ff plain Greek yogurt.I'm not losing gangbusters but I'm staying right under my highest goal.Everyone is saying how much they are losing but the same thing happened when SP first came out and then the losing slows just like any other diet.If anyone eats too much of the 0 point foods as many as they are they can gain weight also.
Celeste I hope Bob does well with his treatments and I'm glad Christopher told his brother something. How immature of his brother.
