The only problem with being sick and doing nothing is that it's hard to stay out of the kitchen. Had chicken noodle soup and too many crackers. Sure hit the spot, tho.
DH had a CPR safety course today, so at least he didn't have to be outside working. And they were finished by noon, so he got to come home early. He cleaned up the kitchen so I won't have to later. He's a keeper!

CONNIE is there any ingredient in the Nyquil that has medical evidence of causing blood sugar issues? I ask b/c sometimes after Nyquil I feel "fuzzy" and light headed. Not sleepy. Just weird and I wonder if it's a B.S. issue. I hope you shake this quickly, but unfortunately this upper respiratory thing going around lingers. Be the exception to prove the rule.
SUZE I don't "get" the feet thing and there's no scientific reason it SHOULD work except the placebo effect and if it works as a placebo... go for it. I've tried it at least 5 times over the years. NADA.
You know my GF had a sleep study in her own home. The tech came and hooked things up in her own bedroom. It wasn't as thorough b/c there was no UV light (or is it infrared?) to be able to video her, but the whole process was a lot more natural. This was in Calif. I've never heard of this in TX (land of 3rd world medicine).
TERRY you're not necessarily setting your goals "low". I think setting them to be achievable is smart. We need to set ourselves up for success and not frustration. I did get in 5K steps yesterday. And today I went grocery shopping and FORGOT to put my FB on my bra strap (Also forgot to wear a bra!! ) Let us know how that breakfast comes out. I'd add anchovies b/c I'm weird and I <3 anchovies and their saltiness and.... I'd get to eat it all by myself b/c no one else in the world likes anchovies!! haha)
SO, I love my new dentist. She's this petite adorable Indian gal. A slight accent and we were laughing a lot. She really put me at ease. My crown is again seated. She did explain that the very back molars crowns are more likely to come out b/c they're not snugged between 2 teeth. Also the farther back you go, the more bite pressure. Makes total sense. Also... my tooth came out w/ G/F toast (think toasted sour dough). She said the SINGLE most common reason crowns come off..... BREAD!!! She said it gets gummy and if it's at all loose, it's the "last straw." Which makes sense. But I kept thinking "OMG it's only toast" and one time it came out in gnocchi. Again kind of gummy.
LASTLY did you all know..... that for dental floss to WORK you need to USE it? Buying it is not sufficient? WHO KNEW? So I have some deep "probings" so have to actually start using floss. SHEEEEESH. And I had a cleaning but in 3 months I need a "deep cleaning/scaling". OUCH. The gal wanted to do it today. I said I still felt like crap and it would have to wait so just do a quickie. Also I was listening to their play list at the dentist and M&M came on and was using the F bomb and I grinned and she said "OH LORD we need to delete that from the playlist." I'd guess so!! I was all "Did I really HEAR that?" uh... yeah. Went to the store. I still need to hit the pick up drop for my farm eggs. I'll do my car inspection next week. I'm out of energy but feeling better today so don't want to overdo.

Hmmm talk about coincidence. I got an email from Sara (trainer) at Anytime Fitness - I had not been there in a while and she was checking on how I was doing. LOL

Angie I think I may have posted that wrong.WW says let your weight loss be your guide like with all the new 0 point foods like they did with 0 point f&v.Are you still enjoying the gym?I was able to go for my 1st walk since it got cold.It was 60 degrees and beautiful.
Suze I don't know how many people will/do abuse the 0 points but if you had 18 points that's good.WW doesn't suggest a point minimum but if you do the blue dots(healthy point range)they go by -10/+5 points. If you are doing 23 points 13-28 points would be the healthy range. No way even on freestyle would I do 13 points. It just works better for me to give everything a point value.I am just more comfortable doing that and I stop when I think I've had enough food.Protein for calories instead of carbs sounds like a good choice but I always have more carbs b/c I need the fiber in the carbs I eat.
Celeste that was my problem when I did a sleep study.I got just enough sleep where it was conclusive I didn't have sleep apnea.Does Miralax bother your tummy?I have started doing it twice a day and may have to keep that up b/c I went in to get my Linzess filled and United has a $290 deductible on Tier 3,4 and 5 drugs and it's a Tier 3.
BBL after dinner.

Connie I hope you feel better soon.
Terry good for you for going to the Y and another OP day. When I'm sick I always have too many crackers.
Celeste I'm glad you like your new dentist and got the crown back in.Imagine actually having to use the floss you buy.I'm glad you are feeling a little better.
I was finally able to walk this afternoon for the first time since it got cold.It was a beautiful afternoon although a little on the cool side.My knee hurt some but not as much as I thought it would after not walking for 2 weeks.

Week is over! It's just hard going back after being off.
So, the AP....she was an English teacher when we were a coed school. She became an AP our last year of coed & was hired on as one of the APs for the girl's school. She has her positives, but the master schedule is not one of them. Was able to go in and talk with her today. Which led to me doing a major project to be emailed back to her by end of day, but I got it done. Hopefully, this will fix one of the issues by next week.
Waiting on Z to get home from his 2 hr work week....hahaha....I wish. Because he's still in school, the management won't use the kids in high school, but more the college kids. He's not happy about it, but he gets a little and is on call when someone can't make it in. I am craving TACOS....will find a place to go when he gets home. We have so many good choices around here.
Got to run. BBL.

Good evening! Boy....this day got away from me!
Connie...hope you had a lazy day & just stayed in your jammies. Nice that Joe was inside & got done early, too. Misery loves company π
Celeste...glad the dental work was done as efficiently as possible & that you liked her. Ugh on the scaling....but that's another day. How did ?Bob tolerate his chemo this time?
Becky....not sure LOVE is the word I would use for the gym....it was tough to get going there today, but we did it. Decided we would just do the treadmill....and the first 10 minutes were hard. I felt so stiff & could hardly put one foot in front of the other. It was ok once I got moving. We had planned to walk for only a half hr, but once we got to that point, we were both sailing along & pushed through to 45 min. I asked R if he thought we would get a sticker for showing up 3 days in a row.....and that I expected a visit from the WHOOSH fairy to destroy 30#. No sticker, and I'm not holding my breath on that lazy fairy!
Suze....what do you plan to do with the land you purchased!
Terry....glad the sleep, study is done & that it went ok.
Louise....how are your lungs? Are you supposed to get the really cold weather this weekend?
Waves to Sandy & Steph ~~~
Went to the gym this morning, lunch with friends, them to a girls basketball tournament game. Thought about going back for the boys game, but it's dark & cold. Have some trip details I want to take care of this weekend, so I'll work on that for a bit.
We are still picking away at leftovers....put quite a bit in the freezer....nice not to have to do much cooking. Tonight was ham & cheesy potatoes....yum. Tomorrow we'll do French dip sandwiches....may make some soup to go with them.....comfort food. Mmmm-mmm

Good evening all. For a short work week, it was looooong!! Hope everyone is feeling better tonight. After our almost foot of snow yesterday, we have minus temps today. We have a high wind warning and major wind chill factor this weekend. Could be MINUS 30!!! Don't think I'll be getting any outdoor time.
I'm tired tonight and hope to knit for a while, so I'm shutting down for the evening. Take care all.

Thanks for the info BECKY. I didn't see that. I just know for me, I don't need all the 0 pt carbs.
Ok this is exciting!! I've done my foot A-B-C's and other foot exercises, been walking around trying to get this foot to roll in a walking gait, DID SQUATS! And think I can do elliptical tomorrow if I can get a shoe on comfortably. I will keep it to slow/moderate for a max of 20 minutes. Woohoo! Doctor on Monday.

BECKY, miralax works but sometimes it takes a couple of days. This time... boy HOWDY did it work!! IN a good way though. But it does make my stomach a bit bloated and crampy (though just NEEDING Miralax makes me bloated and crampy so who knows). W/ my diverticulosis I'm scared to death of getting too blocked up. But my GI guy told me I could take Miralax every day if I needed it. Not to be worried on being dependent on it as can happen w/ other laxatives.
OK so there's a recipe for an Asian Noodle Vegetable soup for 3 points. I then did a sous vide of 3 chicken breasts and they were SO tender and juicy. I shredded them and added them to the soup so it was still 3 points and it was INCREDIBLE. I highly recommend it and w/ or w/o the chickenn it's 3 points and takes like 30 min to make. I used the bone broth I made w/ the chicken feet so it was very flavorful. THe only problem is I wasn't paying attention. I added edamame (which is soy beans and I'm not supposed to have beans until I add them in) as well as broccoli (Not supposed to have that either). SO I added 2 "new" foods back in at one time. If I get sick I won't know which of the 2 of them caused it. Fingers crossed.
STEPH it sounds as if there is better communication between you and this AP? I hope so b/c that should make your life less frustrating.
ANGIE thx for asking. Bob seems to be doing well w/ round 2 of chemo. THough he now has a sore throat. i was hoping he wouldn't get it from me but you'd think he'd have gotten it when I was more "contagious". And oooooh do I ever love a good french dip. W/ a slice of provolone or mozzarella. mmmmmmmmmm
SUZE (also thx for asking about Bob) how far from you is the land? You little rancher you!! And take it EASY if you get on that elliptical. SUZIE Don't be a hero Don't be a fool with your life π΅
OMG JT I should never complain about windchills of 10. THen again this is TEXAS and we're cold weather WHIMPS!! Take care and knit yourself something WARM.
I'm going to get ready for bed. Coughing is coming back but I've not used the nebulizer at all today so I'm progressing. Fingers crossed. Good night everyone. Sleep well.

I started the day with a chest full of gunk. Now my nose is running like water! I've been thru 2 boxes of Kleenex today (with lotion) and my nose is raw. But I haven't been coughing. Can't wait for this to get better. I literally stayed on the couch all day. Barely made 1,000 steps. Ugh.
