Good morning! I'm up early to go to DD's house this morning. She has an at-home bakery (decorated cookies, cupcakes, etc.) and today is her first Pop-up Bakery! For one day only she has everything already baked, boxed and ready to go. No pre-orders needed so anyone can just stop in and pick up some baked goods. Just like a regular brick and mortar store. Her dining room is loaded with filled boxes and I'm going to help. Should be an exciting day. I'm going to be really good and not eat anything! Here is a sample:

Beautiful Linda! Hi Dina and Neen It's f*ing cold and windy. Charlie was happy I put a coat on him. Fortunately it's only supposed to last 2 days.

dina DD started her business 4 years ago when she wanted to stay home with her kids. She is an architect but baking has been a love. She mentioned on her facebook page about taking baking orders and within 3 days she had her first order for a baby shower. Since then, she's been as busy as she wants. She can cut back on orders during busy times with her school age kids. Word of mouth has been her best advertising. I'm excited for her because she's still able to stay home but is developing a bustling business that contributes to her family. Everything is baked in her kitchen; she's not planning on expanding to a commercial size kitchen. ETA: you can check out her FB page (even if you're not on FB) by searching for Sweets by Katherine on FB. It's a business page so it's open for anyone to see. She lives in a Houston suburb. She had to stop mail-orders due to inconsistency from the US Postal service.

Licking my chops over those cookies!
Good morning, it's 20 here but with the gusty winds they say it feel like 7. Supposed to go down to 6 tonight. Might I remind Mother Nature it is not yet officially winter.
It's a great day to stay in but I do have a facial scheduled for this morning and I need it. It's my one indulgence and I'm not going to cancel just because it's too cold for man or beast out there. Wish I had a down jacket.
Have a good one.

Those cookies do look wonderful. I could never decorate cookies that nicely.
Good morning to all! I hope today is a good day to lead into Friday. I'm home and will do a lot of chores, but nothing much else will be going on.

I started feeling like I was getting a cold yesterday, but fought it hard and don't feel to badly today...fingers crossed. The movers come next Thursday...home stretch! linda72 I'm another that loves iced sugar cookies; good luck staying strong! Waving to all!

Good morning. Nothing much on my schedule today, although I am determined to get in some exercise. So I'm going to set a timer for each hour, then when it goes off I WILL get up and do some kind of activity for 10-15 minutes. Since I have to get up to turn the timer off anyway.....no excuses.
My grandson is supposed to come out today. Whether he will or not remains to be seen. He often gets caught up in other things, like sleeping or playing computer games, etc.
I think I will also make a couple batches of soap since I have 3 orders to fulfill. I don't do that for craft shows any more, just family, friends, and special orders. And myself.
So I'm going to finish my coffee, have some breakfast, and get myself moving. Have a good day, everyone.
