Anyone is welcome to join the SMART weight loss goals.
Specific Measurable Actionable Realistic Time limited
You can pick as many or as few goals as you like. They can be daily, weekly or monthly. It's up to each individual. Keep us posted on how you're doing w/ the goals and how/if it's showing up on the scale!
AND if you aren't into goals... now or ever... no big deal. Friendship, accountability and support... they don't HAVE to have goals.
Lastly if you have goals that aren't related to weight loss, that works too. Like "making me time".

WELL CRAP JT. I can totally understand your sister's reluctance to consider more chemo after THAT fiasco but glad she's "OK-ish" now. And between your dang injury and your sister's situation I don't know how you've gotten a LICK of sleep.
Well hells bells. If the NO S was my goal I'd be acing it today but it's NOT (yet).
For the first time since we started... NOPE on my step goal. Not even CLOSE For the first time since we started... NOPE On 5 F&V. Not even CLOSE But I guess I was a qualified CHECK on the no post midnite snacking. I purposely did eat that one point snack to try to get over my GERD (and I did). So only 1 for 3. But these were purposeful choices so I'm OK w/ it.
I'm off to bed in a few. I've really only had 2 meals. Meal 1 was 3 eggs, 2 turkey sausage patties and grilled tomatoes .... which held me off until MEAL 2 which was half of large individual pizza. I mean I have a HUGE appetite and I want to know what INDIVIDUAL would eat that pizza? An individual GIANT?
I think I'll have a wee salad as my bedtime Meal 3. At least it will get me to the 5 F&V. The steps? Ain't gonna happen lassies!
Good night.

Morning ~ JT I’m so sorry about your sister! It must have been awful for her, and you. Hopefully, the new chemo will be better, although I can’t imagine how scary it would be in her shoes. LOUISE I am going to make a Wally’s run tonight and pick up the remainder of my groceries, which I normally don’t do in the evening much less a Friday, pretend I don’t have a car tomorrow and be homebound. It’s pretty dark out there…I probably should walk out to my car now and get my umbrella, before I have to walk out to my car when it’s raining! Today I need to make a run to the vet, hit the gym and do that shopping after work. I’m counting on nice weather tomorrow to work in the garage and outside. I just hope Mother Nature hears my request. Wearing a pair of slim pants that I haven't worn in a while because I looked like a sausage stuffed into a casing the last time I tried them on . Also wearing "real" shoes - versus my Saucony lace up walkers I've been living in since November. They are the only shoes that I could/should wear because of surgery, but tried my inserts fit in my cute red Clark MJ's and so far so good. There are some shoes that will have to go because they are not supportive enough and I doubt I'll wear flip flops again. Funny, I only started wearing [Clark's] flip flops 2-3 years ago. Bbl No Sweets, Snacks or Seconds 10K steps x 7 days Min 48 oz H20 per day 12 flights x 5 days 180 min exercise per week

Good morning everyone. Woke up at 3:30am and couldn't go back to sleep. But went to bed at 9pm. Made good use of my morning. Picked out quilting designs for a quilt, finished the baby quilt I started yesterday, pinned on the next baby quilt. Am consulting the customer about the design she picked out for it. I was concerned it wouldn't look good and now that I have it set up on the computer screen, I am sure of it. I texted her a screenshot with some alternatives and she is ok with changing it. Thank goodness! I thought she might be prickly about it, But she wasn't.
Need to get back to it.
And I feel like I've been a complete failure all week on the diet. But I have been so much more tired all week than usual. Not sure what's up with that.

Morning ladies,
Autumn woke at 2:15 with a fever. Meds & back to bed, except me....at the computer doing last minute sub notes & sent to my partner to print when she got to school. Apparently, they took my sub and put her in another class & it looks like I don't have one. My 2 partners are taking my classes, which that's what I do for them. Not going to stress about it. At the last minute yesterday, I grabbed my bag so I will have my books to work on things later today/weekend. We had waffles for b'fast. Feel like I'm going to fall asleep and take a nap soon.
JT, WOW on your sister. So glad she's ok, but yes, that is scary. I have a friend going through treatments & had a reaction to it, but not like your sister.
Becky, better watch it or you're going to have another mouth to feed. Scooter may be trying to get his friend to stay.
I am struggling to keep my eyes open. I'll regret it later, but I'm taking a nap. BBL

Good morning girls!
Steph....hope A feels better soon. Treat yourself to a nap this afternoon.
Suze....thanks for the weekend start up. Nice to be able to wear different shoes...finally! Hope Mother Nature is kinder to you than us. She is hitting the plains with a raging snowstorm/ blizzard today thru tomorrow. Right now we are on the southern edge with predictions of “only” 5-8” with blowing / drifting.
Becky...I am tracking SPs on itb....i’m Not going to pay for the update to the tune of $36. That is the plan I was on when I quit WW online...so that works ok. Plus, I can always convert it to flex by referring to a zero point food list. I’m also tracking calories on my real appeal app. I had been so lax on tracking that I just needed to get back to it to get a better handle on things.
Connie....egads! That’s an early wake up! Happy quilting today!
Louise....I think I missed it...what is going on with your hip?
Sandy...will KM go to kdg in the fall? Bet she had fun painting today! Dale will love that mower!
JT....did you get rid of the heavy cast?
Celeste....that was quite an individual pizza! No wonder our population battles obesity with the portions that have become the norm.
Terry...hope you didn’t blow away at the game yesterday.
We took a big load of treasure to the Goodwill this morning. It is in the same area as the gym, so that is handy! Have 2 boxes of books to take to library yet.
Good workout: TM x 1.5 miles / 32 min, elliptical x .75 miles /12 min, wt machines & steps. Woohoo!
Goals for the day: 10000 steps H2Orange x 6-8 Track itb & cal No S
On to the daily household stuff....bbl

Housebound here too, LOUISE. I have a package (a big splurge) that I am waiting for and I have to sign for it. Based on the last few times the PO had something for me to sign for, I'm not setting foot outside my door until I have the package in my hot little hands.
SANDY great choice for DH's b/day gift. I'm sure he'll appreciate it. I hope you get some rain. We are really BLOWY here (40+ mph gusts) and gloomy and we're under a "slight" severe storm watch. Further East (like SUZE's neck of the woods) is more likely for weather. My allergies are really acting up w/ 2-3 days of strong winds. We may get some rain. We already got a few drops, but not measurable. HOWEVER our temp for today is supposed to be 92!!! WHAAAATTTTTT?
SUZE nice that you could 'shop from your closet' w/o looking like a kielbasa. ME? I happen to LIKE my kielbasa, served up w/ my own personal muffin (top). (is that a sausage in your pocket... or are ya.......)
um CONNIE could you be feeling extra tired b/c you're actually NOT getting enough sleep? Being in bed does not always equal sleep. And being asleep does NOT always equal GOOD SLEEP. And when I'm tired, NOTHING is easy. Eating well. exercising. THINKING.
So STEPH you are adding yourself to the "crap sleep club". Well count me in too. I had trouble falling asleep. And staying asleep. THen woke up w/ reflux again (This one was "my bad" b/c of my 3rd meal having too many carbs).
Boy, usually my allergies are all respiratory in nature. But my eyes!! I keep rubbing them as well as coughing up half a lung.
I have NOTHING planned for this weekend. Not even any yardwork or "honey do's". LOVE IT!! I may go to Nebraska Furniture Mart, say HI to Warren Buffet and check out a new washer. BEFORE the one I have gives up the ghost.

OHHHHHHHHHH BOOKS!!! I'll be right over ANGIE to go over your books!! I love me some books. I hope you avoid the storms. And yes, "back in the day" not too long ago this would have EASILY been a pizza for 2 or even 3 people. It was excellent and even w/ lots of veggies and meats it was under $12! I have a very large appetite but if I couldn't eat more than half... I'm seriously not sure who could? I do have 3 large bags of newer clothes and shoes in great shape and I missed the Make A Wish pick up yesterday So now I have all these bags sitting on my closet floor. I need to see about another pick up. We don't have any good will or similar anywhere nearby. Oh well, I now have a big box and I wanted to box up some kitchenware, wine glasses, other breakable stuff so maybe that will be my own personal to-do list.

Celeste...ong...that is exactly what I feel like when I put on a pair of jeans....kielbasa with a side of muffin top 🤪. I almost always wear my comfy athletic / yoga pants around the house...stretchy waistband...but sure let’s me get complacent about the excess lard until I put on my out in public clothes. If I made myself put on something with a zipper everyday, it may be a wake up call & motivating. I remember a gal that used to be on the old message boards with this group way way back. Her philosophy...i’m worth a zipper. Hmmmm...
Sandy....I think KM would do just fine with that plan. The home school group & Sunday school give her opportunities for socialization & all the school work you do with her will have her well prepared. Baseball cookies....fun!
Got books dropped off at library (sorry Celeste) & picked up a few groceries. We will buzz over for wine tasting then get home to hunker down. We’ve been added to the blizzard watch now....oh joy!
Meal 1 — ham & cheese omelette, muffin toast Meal 2 — grapes, carrots, mini club crackers, peanut butter Meal 3 — salad with grilled chicken ... glass of wine at tasting
Still working on steps for the day ...

Celeste I see that message every time I'm on this board on Chrome & for some reason my Internet seems to go out before I can hit create a post but I don't realize it until I hit create post.I'm on Firefox now and it usually doesn't go out.At least I hope not b/c I lost a long post earlier.Firefox has a circle with an i on the website address & it says I haven't given the board some kind of permission but so far I haven't gotten kicked out when I change browsers.
I walked a little after 8:00 and the wind was blowing 29 MPH according to the news & I can believe it.I walked to the road before I get to Amigo's driveway so he wouldn't see me.I heard a dog barking where he lives. There are also 1 or 2 white dogs living there.Sure enough when I turned around to come home here comes Amigo. However someone was moving in a mobile home on one of the side roads and I think he got confused & must have gone back home.I'm glad b/c Scooter was in for awhile after we came home from town b/c of the thunder & light rain.
Goals for today: Listen to my hunger cues-I'm so bad about eating a snack sometimes just b/c I want to or have the points. 10,000 steps exercise 7/7 hours getting in 250 steps
Suze Good for you on wearing your slim pants & regular shoes.
Connie You are waking up earlier than me.It seems like I can't sleep past 5 or 5:30.At least you get a lot accomplished.
Steph I hope Autumn feels better soon & I hope you got a nap.I don't mind feeding another dog regular dry food but he can't come inside & I don't want to be accused of stealing someone else's dog.I just wish his owners would take better care of him.

SANDY it's just such WEIRD weather. It's dark as dusk at 4PM. Still almost 90 and BLOWING. Luckily for me, I think this wind coming from the south I think it's blowing the worst of the weather north of us. Frisco was under a severe weather warning that it would hit here about 4:40 but they've removed that and moved all the warnings up a bit north. Sorry you folks to the direct north east but I can do w/o ANOTHER new roof! But it's been SO WINDY for 2 days and a lil bit ago the wind almost stopped dead.
ANGIE LOL @ I'm worth a zipper. AMEN! I live in Jeans. I buy the Not Your Daughter's Jeans or else Soft Surroundings Jeans. THey're definitely not those ugly mom jeans, or "fat girl jeans" but they're made for a woman w/ some curves. I really love them. And they have all colors and sizes starting at size 00 (that's my DD) and go up to 18 as well as petites and plus. They're made for "grown ups" and yet are very fashionable AND comfy bc/ most of them have some lycra for give. I actually don't own any sweat pants and only use yoga pants for RARE exercise b/c for me it would be a slippery slope. Both on eating too much as well as becoming slovenly. So I refuse (so far) to wear sweat pants OR housecoats. My mother lived in "housecoats" from age 60 on. Unless I'm having surgery or something... .NO HOUSECOATS ALLOWED (OMG Bob would freak if he came home and I was in one. His mother either lives in long t-shirty things or house coats LOL) AND ANGIE, I don't know what muffin toast is but I WANT SOME!!! Chocolate preferably.
Thanks for the "steps reminder". I'm NOT going to fall short today but I better get out there b/4 this weather takes ANOTHER turn. I think I preferred the last 2 days of wind. This feels like the calm before the storm.
