SUZE USUALLY Bob just gets very mopey and cross and cranky and ANNOYING when he is going to see his mom. I don't know if he's really SICK or what. He does have a history of hypochondria. Once were were in Las Vegas, he started complaining about stomach pain while driving on the freeway. I said "let's just go back to the hotel" and he starts groaning and STOPS THE CAR ON THE FREEWAY!!! He didn't pull over to the side of the road. He didn't put his hazard blinkers on. He just STOPPED THE CAR!! I had to jump out, ON THE FWY, and run to his side and push him over the console. He wanted me to drive to a hospital. I don't know where hospitals are in Vegas! I also knew he wasn't dying. My guess was gas or diarrhea was coming on. I said I'd drive to the hotel and he could call an ambulance. Funny thing is, he had cramps, we got back to the hotel and I told him he was on his own; he went to the bathroom w/ lots of gas and VOILA he wasn't dying any more. But we both easily could have died b/c he had GAS!! So between his previous history of whimpiness w/ his tummy, and his issues about hating to see his mom I don't know if he's legit sick. I ask him questions and they are NOT hard questions but he's too stupid to answer. BOB, EXPLAIN WHAT'S GOING ON WITH YOU. "I don't know. My stomach hurts kind of down here some of the time" is NOT a very good explanation and when I keep try to get more specific answers he gets pissy. BUT YOU ARE RIGHT. If he needs to go to urgent care he either needs to speak up or GET IN HIS CAR and drive 3 miles. Or hell.. call a freaking ambulance b/c after I went in there for the 5th time in 6 hours I said (and this time I MEANT) "I am not coming back in here. You're on your own." He didn't want toast or a banana or tea or water or broth. My only concern is I don't know all the side effects of Keytruda and he had his 7th one about 10 days ago I think. But he IS pushing 60 and is supposedly a competent human being, and the words "I need to see a doctor" have never come out of his mouth. I need to "let it go." SHEEESH my garage needs purging so BADLY. The only thing I had asked BOB to be in charge of during the moving was to make sure the movers did the garage; he was useless as tits on a boar about that so the day after the move I went over there w/ a friend's truck and just filled it up w/ stuff from the garage. So I have boxes that should just GO. So much JUNK! I could HIRE YOU!!!
BECKY I was on Celebrex about 14 years ago for my knee, post injury. I took it for about 6-8 weeks and honestly didn't notice any improvement. But we're all different. Mine was more post injury inflammation rather than arthritis back then.
JT IMHO you're entitled to be a bit cranky. You have had a really CRAPPY few weeks. Crap weather. Sick sister. Now your injury! Are you taking time off from work while you're in a cast?
I'm going to have my 3rd meal in a little bit. I'm hungry but trying to last a bit longer so that I'm not wanting to much at midnite. I'm all ready for bed otherwise.
Good night all.

Good morning all! Just a quick stop for now. We have 34 for a temp this morning with wind chill of 25. It's mid April. Will it ever warm up here? Supposed to have snow and freezing rain today and 3" of rain tomorrow.
I'm up icing my hand. Slept fairly well, but hand was hurting so I got up. Need to shower and go for breakfast. I need some fruit and veggies, so a quick grocery stop is planned.
Celeste, I worked shortened days all week. Being alone in the dept, I don't want to fall way behind. I have a new hire orientation this week, so am trying to get ahead.
Okay, I'll be back later. I hear DH up, so I think I'll go shower. Have to do my wrap and not get anything wet.

Went to Village Pizza with the family in Point Pleasant and had WAY too much pizza and 3 mugs of beer. (They were small mugs). It was fun, and kind of odd, to drink beer and eat pizza with my mom and dad. The nieces and nephew really spent more time visiting with each other than with me. Based on the fact that I wasn't close to my sibling, it makes me happy to see them be so close. Came home about 9pm and wanted to watch the new Trading Spaces, but fell asleep about 15 minutes in. Slept till 5:30 this morning.
I'm supposed to go to the store and prep some meals I can take to work this week, but really am not feeling it right now. Might also quilt a bit. Have already cleaned the kitchen and done laundry. Am actually just wanting to be a slug.
Jeez, SUZE! You are a dynamo for sure! I would be crippled the next day after all that work. Hope you can get out of bed.
My poor Shasta is having arthritis issues. She is limping and having trouble with stairs. We already have her on the max dose of Rimadyl. Not sure what the next step will be. Hoping DH can take her to the vet.
JT- glad your cast is smaller. Maybe if you get some of the swelling down, it won't be so uncomfortable. I have a feeling once the 6 weeks are up, your arm will tend to float up over your head! You will think it's odd not to have that extra weight on it.
CELESTE- maybe Bob will be too sick to go see his mom. Maybe that's the deal. Poor guy. Joe is almost never sick. But when he has something minor, he complains about it nonstop. But if it's major, you may not even know something is going on. Amazing how different we are.

JT it's 9:30 AM and only 43 here. My head is spinning w/ all of our weather changes. Winter. Summer. Spring.... SPRinter. I don't know. UGH on your throbbing hand. i bet even DRIVING is difficult one handed. I never thought of that.
CONNIE I know what you mean. My brother (he's not a good person) and I aren't at all close. I guess we're "estranged" but my kids are very close and it does my heart good. I saw Trading Spaces was coming back. How was it? Poor Shasta. Maybe they can try changing the rimadyl for deramaxx? Maybe it will help (maybe not but worth a try?) And maybe it's a guy thing. When Bob fell off his bike (wound up w/ 32 stitches and eventually needing a skin graph), he walked into the house and nonchalantly said "I fell off my bike" with about as much urgency as you'd say "It's sunny outside." My answer was "Why are your socks pink?" B/c they were full of BLOOD! I immediately took him to the ER. So it's very hard for me to determine if he's really sick or not. But I am not his keeper. If he can't really tell me what his symptoms are, I can't really help and he does have a phone if he needs an ambulance and he has a car if he wants to drive to a freestanding urgent care/ER either of which are fewer than 5 miles from here. I give up.
STEPH good to be finishing up those projects. I hate having projects hanging over my head.
I need to get my hair styled and get dressed b/c I'm having lunch w/ an energizer bunny (but she's NOT getting the benefit of me putting on make-up. I have my limits.

I am back from the store. Should be cooking, but am indulging a guilty pleasure instead. Binge watching Hoarders. It simultaneously makes me want to clean, purge, and smack those people! I get that they are mentally ill, but gosh! It's just so frustrating. Makes me feel better about my own house.

Sandy....was today Katy’s baptism? Blessings for her & family on this special day 🙏🏼
JT....put your arm up & take it easy today. Healing vibes your way.
Steph...yeah on getting some projects done!
Celeste....sure doesn’t look like spring here....as someone said, more like Jan. 96th! For sure!
We did venture out for church....a small but hearty crowd. Roads weren’t that bad....but I do not fault any one who didn’t feel comfortable getting out there. Dh will drive through anything... but if it had been up to me, I probably would have stayed put.
Has anyone watched The Crown on Netflix? We started it last night....very interesting. Plan to watch more today.
Later gaters

Celeste I'm still hoping Celebrex will work but I'm more counting on starting the injections after they are approved. The doctor had to tell United I had tried everything and this was the only thing I hadn't tried so I'm going to take it until I get the injections.
JT Our low was 38 but it's already up to 67 and at least the wind isn't quite as bad as yesterday.I can definitely see why you are out of sorts and tired.
Connie I hope you can find something to help Shasta's arthritis since she's still having problems and she's already on the highest dose.
Celeste I agree on Sprinter. That's what this spring seems to want to do.Cold and hot does not do much for our allergies.
Angie Is it still snowing or is it that the roads are still bad?We had a lighter church attendance and it sure wasn't because of snow. There wasn't a cloud in the sky although it's still windier than I care for.
I lost 1 lb last week and I was doing more SP than freestyle.I think FS would be a great maintenance plan for me so maybe if I lose another 1.6# before the end of the year I may stick to FS but may just do it on ITB.The only thing is their restaurant guide isn't as updated as WW is on the chicken menu's.

Connie, I cannot abide Hoarders. I wanna slap the crap out of them and their enablers. My maternal grandmother was certifiably a hoarder I swear but it was all up in her HUGE attic. The house looked unlived in w/ clear plastic slip covers and plastic rug runners. But that ATTIC? My favorite find up there (besides random men's clothing in all sizes and styles still w/ price tags) was boxes of REALLY random food. Boxes and boxes of crackers crumbling away. But also BULGING cans of TURTLE SOUP? When I found those as a kid I had no idea there was such thing as turtle soup, let alone IN A CAN!!
ANGIE I started watching both The Crown on Netflix and Victoria on PBS. I liked them both. Bob, not so much. So since I'm not a huge TV fan we either watch what he wants or come to a few compromises. Luckily we both really enjoy Netflix Santa Clarita Diet. Very smart writing and witty (though gory) and especially a good satire on suburban So. Californian life.
BECKY I Hope the Celebrex works. it MUST work for lots of people b/c otherwise why would it still be on the market? And if it works, then the shots can be kept for further on down the road. And since you seem to go to a few same restaurants (not like you're in NYC w/ a new restaurant on every corner), you could just make a list of points from the restaurants you use the most and the foods you eat most. Like I bet you almost know by heart any points for anything you might eat at Whataburger.
So I went for a loverly lunch and chat (and I had a REALLLLLLLYY good Bloody mary) w/ the ever energetic SUZE. Then we did a Trader Joe run. I predicted to Suze a miraculous recuperation from Bob once he tells his mother he isn't coming. So I got home, he's dressed, eating toast, and doing his laundry. MADAME RUBY PREDICTS CORRECTLY AGAIN!!!

Celeste LOL on Bob being better after he told his mom he wasn't coming. It must have been a miraculous recovery.I hope you and Suze had fun & didn't buy out Trader Joe's.I'm whining now b/c I want a Trader Joe's.Surprisingly enough I only know freestyle points for 2 foods at Whataburger. The garden salad with grilled chicken which is what I get and the patty melt b/c I love telling Kenneth how many points he is having in 1 sandwich.I'm a mean wife sometimes but he's a man and doesn't care how many points he's eating.Actually the same salad at Whataburger is exactly twice the amount on SP than it is on FS. I still have until 5/1 to make up my mine about not paying WW anymore when my subscription is up.I keep thinking $12/year is a darn sight cheaper than $20/mo for WW.At least I'm down 1.8 lbs for the month now.
So far the Celebrex hasn't worked at all.I walked this afternoon and I hadn't walked since Thursday before my orthopedist appointment.I could feel it too.It was too pretty to do another round on the bike.My knee didn't buckle this time but it still hurt and now my back is hurting again.I don't know what's wrong with it b/c it's not from the walk.It hurt while we were sitting in church.

Wow Madame Ruby strikes again!! Too bad for Bob, but he needs to learn to deal with his mother. That's so sad he makes himself sick just thinking about seeing her. How old of a woman is she? exhausted.
Didn't have too bad of a day. Fingers are not quite as swollen as they were. Went to the grocery store and out for breakfast and came home exhausted. This has gotten OLD very quickly.
Hope everyone is well. Happy Monday!
