ANGIE that's exactly what I'm afraid of on a treadmill.... flying off the back and embarrassing myself. I have gotten very distracted and walked forward but a bit to the side and my foot was partly on the belt which was moving and partly on the side which was not and I like to have KILLED myself! So I walk slowly and methodically and it takes too long which is why last summer I walked the Teeny Tiny Track. At least I would go flying off the back of the track (which is good since it's a rubberized track suspended around the periphery of the gym so I'd be in deep trouble). I can't believe you're getting more snow!!
DO NOT SEND IT TO JT. She's HAD ENOUGH!!
CONNIE you had a few days last week I think where you really put a short streak together and showed a loss. DO IT BABY GIRL!!
STEPH I just won in Bingo ... got a $10 Subway gift cert and I was so excited so apparently I am also easily amused!! Also my store didn't have any romaine either. I noticed it b/c lots of other lettuce mixes have romaine so there wasn't much lettuce in bags at all. Luckily I don't eat romaine. I love it but it doesn't love me. LOL @ the Case of the Missing Fruit!!
BECKY I don't really like fajitas at all so I have NO idea why I bought fajita meat. But it made a WONDERFUL stir fry!
JT I thought about bathing and typing and getting dressed etc and how hard it would be but I don't think I really concentrated on how hard it would be to find a comfortable sleep position. ANd I move around so much, that lugging that cast with me would really make sleep difficult. NOTE TO SELF DO NOT BREAK ANY BONES!!
So yes, I am finally not a big ol' loser. I won a game. I also got up during a game and was jogging in place b/c my FB said I needed 140 steps to make 250 that hour. The gal calling Bingo looked at me and started laughing. She thought I was trying to do some kind of good luck dance!! But at 6,479, once again it will be impossible NOT to get in my goal of 6,500
So I got in my steps, got in my F&V and was a monumental flop at the no night time eating.
ALSO OMG there was this big bowl of assorted mini Hershey's chocolate bars. I mindlessly sucked them up LIKE A HOOVER!! Between the sodium in the fish sauce and soy sauce I used in my stir fry, my terrible night time eating several times this week and my chocolate binge I'm screwed if I weigh in tomorrow. So I'll go to the meeting but pass on the weigh in. If I DON'T go to the meeting it's that slippery slope toward saying "bag this diet." Perhaps that's another indication for shifting to the No S. But funny mostly all I have around the house for cooking this week is diet type stuff like 99%FF gr. turkey etc. That's not what I'd EVER cook if it weren't for it being 0 points so that's totally against the recommendations of No S. You're supposed to eat what you really WANT to eat. hmmmmmmmmmmmm decisions decisions.

Celeste Remember last week when you thought you had gained but you were so happy you weighed b/c you lost weight. This is just my opinion but if I were going to meetings doing a no WI pass would put me on a slippery path.I know I can't do No S because of the no snacks.I like my snacks and I don't eat enough at meals to not eat snacks.I try to make sure I'm through with snacks by 8:30 so I don't feel like I'm going to bed just after I've eaten.I can understand why you eat later b/c you go to bed later than I do.I also couldn't go as long in between meals as you do.
Goals: stayed within points freestyle and smart points-yes step goal-yes exercise goal-yes 80 oz water-yes only ate snacks when I was hungry-yes

And once again the ground is white....heard thunder and rain during the night, but at some point the temp dropped and it changed over to ❄️ Would have slept later but the snowplow went by.
Nothing major in the agenda for the day ... gym and puttering about...maybe a movie this afternoon or a couple more episodes of The Crown.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday 🙃

WOW on your snow, ANGIE.
Now we all have to channel Game of Thrones... OH JT!!! WINTER IS COMING (again and again )
I had a very restless night. Not sure what was going on. I even took an extra beta blocker around 2AM b/c my chest felt weird. I think it was probably my horrible allergy issues and constant coughing. When I woke up at 9:30 I had a raging headache. (allergies? Lack of sleep?) Then my WW buddy texted me to say she and her DH were trying to put together a sudden trip to California. She's MAYBE 60, and her DH is 17 years older, (easily in his mid-70's) and his mother took a sudden downturn. Well at 95ish a sudden downturn doesn't sound good. This morning they were packing and trying to arrange flights. So we both took a pass on WW. I've had 2 cups of coffee and the headache is retreating, but I'm SLooooooowwwww today.
Still extremely windy but mid 70's. I'll suck on my inhaler again in a bit and go for a walk. If the wind would stop it would be a perfect spring day.
I've got a 0 point turkey pumpkin chili in the slow cooker. Trying to buckle down today.

Howdy - steady morning. This is the first chance I’ve had to check in.
CELESTE now that’s perspective on hunger. I do feel like when my stomach is growling I’m burning fat… at least that’s what I tell myself. And we are never really more than 5 minutes away from food. How are you feeling this afternoon? I woke up with a headache (sure it sinus/allergies) and it’s still there. Oh and Turner got that brush/yard work done! When I met him on Monday, I told him I would like it done within 10 days; he text me to say he’d get it done yesterday. And he was there finishing up by 3. Love that. Someone that does what they say they will.
ANGIE you were a cleaning machine! YAY don’t you love getting those chores out of the way? What IS it with the winter storms all over the north? My gosh. I talked to my brother yesterday and asked him to order at least sunshine and 60 (ok I’ll take 50’s) in MI next week.
SANDY I was all discombobulated yesterday because I ate too late, was too tired and was on the road all afternoon. By the time I got home to eat I couldn’t even think of what I wanted. I need to plan a little better for those occasions. And I was at about the same # of steps yesterday as you were. Seems I could have pushed myself to get another 1,500 steps and 2 more flights. Sheesh.
Our day started off cloudy with a couple sprinkles and has gotten warm and sunny out, but still windy.
CONNIE you know what today is? It’s Start Over Day! You can do it.
I had an appointment yesterday afternoon, left work around 2 went home to walk Lu and paid Turner for his work. Took off for the 40 mile drive to Paris and was sleepy the whole way there. I actually fell asleep in the chair of the waiting room. Had my appointment and went to the casino to spend my $15 credit, walked out with $144 (should have quit when I was at $200), drove home and I could not keep my eyes opened. I woke up at 8:30 on the couch and went to bed. Guess I just needed more sleep!
Doing well on my goals today. Thinking tonight will be a long walk with Lu and change sheets, maybe vacuum and get that out of the way. Exciting evening in my neck of the woods!
Goals: No Sweets, Snacks or Seconds 10K steps x 7 days Min 48 oz H20 per day 12 flights x 5 days 180 min exercise per week

Angie Dang on snow again.I will send you some of our 80 degree weather so it will melt yours and JT's snow.
Celeste was it you who made me restless last night or did I make you restless? It sounds like we had the same kind of night.I hope your headache is better. The meteorologist said oak allergies are on their way out because it's lower every day.Hah!!!
Suze Wow on your luck at the casino. When we went I always liked to quit while I was ahead.
I walked 40 min this morning,we went to HEB and I did 20 min on the bike this aftenoon.I at least have my exercise plus 10,000 steps in although this Fitbit will remind me in about 10 minutes I need to walk again. It seems like my body is more tired since I have been taking Celebrex. I'm so tempted to quit taking it b/c it is the generic brand and after reading online most people say it doesn't work like the name brand.I can't afford the name brand so I'm still waiting for my injections to be approved.Probably at least another week.

Becky...how’s the knee & back today? Haven’t been in search of lettuce here, so not sure if our stores were affected by the recall.
Celeste...hope you’re feeling better by now. Hate waking up with a headache & being in a fog.
Suze....I like that idea that we are burning fat when our stomach growls. Hurray that your fella showed up & got the work done!!!
Sandy....how is Dale doing with the arthritis? Have meds been helpful for him?
Conned dh into helping in the dungeon for a bit. Oh my! We took a stroll down memory lane! One box that we pulled out had our mortar boards & programs from grad school commencement. Put those on & took a pic to send to kids....then out they went. Old college textbooks & papers, yearbooks, etc. lots of stuff got the heave ho....very selective about what went back into a box of treasures to save.
Not my best No S day....had to have an Oreo after lunch ...and a little candy bar. But it was with that meal....so got that out of my system.

Becky....yes please! Any warmth & sunshine would be great! Well dang...had hoped the Celebrex would help. Hope you receive the approval for the injection sooner rather than later.
And Suze....woohoo on your casino winnings!

Today was WI dayand I stayed the same as last week. (Meaning I didn't lose the 2.6 pounds I had gained.) But at least I'm no WORSE than last week. Am back to it today.
14,783 steps yesterday. Was over on points only got half my water.
Got up at 3pm, took a shower, then came downstairs and started cooking. I had purchased a HUGE pkg of chicken and it needed to be cooked. I made Chicken Continental, Chicken Bourguignon, and more white chili. Shouldn't have to cook anything else this week. Then I cleaned up the kitchen before sitting down to eat. DH got home late because they have started a major highway project that has the Interstate down to a single lane for a 20 mile stretch. That will last a year and then they will do the NEXT 20 mile stretch.
SUZE- no wonder you fell asleep at the office. Even the energizer bunny needs to recharge occasionally. Congrats on your winnings.
BECKY- Celebrex has been around a long time and I've never had a patient complain that the generic didn't work as well as the brand. Seems odd. And it is DEFINITELY a bad idea to wear flip flops to take your walks. Not enough support.
CELESTE- join me in getting back to it today.
ANGIE- Thatvhouse keeping you did yesterday sounds like just what my place could use! When can you drop by? You said you don't have plans for the rest of the week.....
I guess I will set my alarm to get up early tomorrow and take my quilt to the Culture Center for the quilt show.

Mom got the results of the MRI on her knee. She broke the top of her fibula and tibia. She completely tore the ligament in front of her knee and tore her meniscus. She must wait between 6 and 12 weeks for the fractures to heal before they can do surgery to repair ligament and meniscus. My sister is going down Saturday to grocery shop for her. She has a lady coming to clean tomorrow. I will probably be going down bi-weekly for the next several months to do what I can for her. I'm happy to help, but....AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT! The one saving grace is that mom is not in any pain.
Work is just like junior high these days. We have employees that cannot be adult enough to get along. Makes for a long, stressful night. Will be happy when 11pm comes.
Time to go....

haha SUZE about burning fat when you feel hungry. Oprah used to say that so we KNOW it has to be hooey. But that guy addressed that very thing in his book. He said to tell yourself that you're burning fat to try to keep yourself from snacking. And then he says something like "and if you don't BELIEVE that... well you've got a point. The truth is we can't feel calories being burned." The dude is a CRACK UP. Seems MAYBE you've found a gem in Turner in that he did what he said he'd do WHEN he said he'd do it. (Love the name)
LOL BECKY I think I'll blame YOU this time for our sleeplessness. I'll take the blame NEXT time! Also I took the Brand Name Celebrex and as i said I didn't notice any improvement. So if there was any, it was subtle.
ANGIE I"m so PROUD of you for getting rid of the mortarboards and year books!! WOW!! But think of it this way, when you both are gone then your kids would find those things and feel guilty if they had to toss it. After helping Meridith's BFF go through things like that when her mom died and my goshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it was excruciating. Like she had maybe 30 or 40 mugs and Hilary kept saying "but she got this in Hawaii. She got this one in Zurich on business. I can remember her sitting in her pajamas holding this cup" and on and on. I had her pick 12 and boxed up the rest. Then pick 6 and added 6 to the box. Then I said PICK 2. YEARS later she said that b/c I'm so UNSENTIMENTAL AND MEAN, that I was actually was the best person to help her purge. Biggest back handed compliment ever. SO I see I don't need to come up to your house and help!!
CONNIE all that chicken you're gonna start CLUCKING. I get dibs if you lay any eggs. And YES so far I'm doing very well OP today. Tracking and cooking healthy. HEY I'll come over and help you get rid of stuff!! I mean I really like doing it. I LOVE being mean and then seeing the results of all that purging. I should start a business. Only I'd have to do it after 12noon until like midnite. Hard to have a business like that.
We enjoyed the batch of turkey/pumpkin/white bean chili. I have had some snacks (still not doing the No S yet on purpose). But 1 was good on my snacks. I had some sliced heirloom tomatoes from Trader Joe's w/ salt. And a halo. Hell I've been so good I need to get me a REAL HALO b/c I'm an OP ANGEL.
Off for a short walk in about 15 minutes. I need another 700 to reach my 6,500 and can do it w/o taking a walk but it's nice out there so why not?

Connie The good news was you didn't gain and good job on the steps yesterday.I got a lot yesterday but not as much today as yesterday. My flip flops aren't the 99 cent ones at Walmart. They actually felt better than sneakers for walking. In fact I walked at the cure for cancer last year in these and they have never bothered me but the bruises on top of my feet are exactly where the top straps were. There are still bruises and it seems with socks on it hurts more.I know it takes Celebrex 2 weeks to work but I was just going by some reviews on the generic Celebrex and people were saying when they took the name brand it worked but when their insurance switched them to generic they could tell a difference.I have nothing to compare it to since they started me on the generic.I'm glad your mom isn't in pain but since she tore her meniscus I thought she would be in pain.Prayers and good vibes for your mom's recovery.
Celeste I guess I'll take the blame for our sleeplessness this time.I'm used to taking Aleve PM before I went to the doctor last week and it helped me sleep plus I didn't wake up to pain. While on Celebrex I can't take even baby aspirin so my sleep hasn't been as good.I know I will wait out the Celebrex but so far not much is helping although I think my back hurts worse than my knee especially after exercise. You are doing better than me on snacks but I did need to get in some points.I have had sf dark chocolate pudding and apple slices with chocolate PB 2.Oh and of course my nightly protein bar.It was so good too.It was nice this morning when I walked although it was cloudy at least it was still cool.Tomorrow we are just supposed to get up to the 70's so I'll probably go back to walking in the afternoons.I haven't seen Amigo on my last 2 walks so I hope he's okay.Hopefully he has been hanging out under his owner's van keeping cool.

Lordy, CONNIE how can your Mom NOT be in pain? My gosh. I hope she recovers well.
LOL CElESTE true on Oprah! Turner's name is Turner Poole...love saying that.
Walked with Lu through fields...its tick season, yep! None on her but one on me...had not attached though. Sure does make you crawly all over. I hate those little bastids.
Tough to eat one serving of CN noodles, but I did it. Back in the fridge, whew. I made a big salad loaded with protein for lunch tomorrow. Ready. Early workout tomorrow.
Night all.

Oh Connie....what a wicked injury for your poor mom. What a blessing that she is not in pain. Long road ahead....prayers & healing vibes for her. And sure thing....I can swing by & spruce up for you. Leave the key under the mat...lol.
Celeste...lots more for us to go through, but it was a start. You would have laughed...nursing textbooks from the 1970s! The old pictures were hilarious.
Suze...ticks...ick! good job on sticking to one serving of the noodles.
I’m tired tonight....is it too early to crawl in bed?
