Good morning everyone.I am up entirely too early. We both woke up early and laundry is already started.Today we are expecting a high of 82.
My DH and I raise cattle to sell and there was a story on the early morning news that they were thinking of putting Fitbits in calves ears. That is just too funny.Ours are too lazy to get 10,000 steps a day.
Today we are going to Anytime Fitness this morning and buy groceries since today is our payday.I hope my knee holds up.I walked yesterday afternoon and it was swearing at me all night.I don't think the cortisone shot did anything.I have called my ortho's Austin office to see where the holdup for the gel injections were(insurance, not getting them in yet)and what I needed to do next.I guess it takes awhile but am thinking of finding a different ortho and see if they can come up with a different option.I did some exercises I found online last night and I can't even repeat the words that came out of my knee's mouth.
Putting out coffee, hot chocolate and hot tea(for me of course).
Have a great day friends!

Thanks Becky. I'll have my usual decaf, diet Swiss miss and skim. Hope you get an answer for your knee.
The Nor'easter is slowly moving offshore. Fortunately I only lost some thatch off the tiki bar and a bunch of branches. I won't know until I get to work if the ocean is still crazy. I'm planned and tracked and ready to go.

Morning! It's 35 here, headed to 40... that's less than half of Becky's temp....I'm moving to TEXAS!!! Sorry borntexan that your knee is still hurting. Hope they find you some relief. That's funny about Fitbits in cow's ears. Maybe I should clip mine to my ear---the discomfort would make me move more! The nor-easter is still dumping rain on us. Makes me want to curl up and go back to bed. I'm still fighting the sugar/salt cravings (and not winning. Better head to the pool and shake if off! 'til later...

Good morning.
Just yesterday I was thinking how great it was to be in the last week of Jan with no snow on the ground. Then last night the sleet started. Couldn't believe how loud it was. It was windy & at some point the sleet must have turned to snow as there are a couple of inches on the ground now. Everything is icy so I'm in for,the day. This is the kind of day that always makes me want to eat...& eat...& eat. I also tossed & turned all night so I'm exhausted. Hopefully I'll get some chores done today although right now I just want to sleep.
Have a good one.

I agree sullicat1. Great type of day to hunker down but then all I want is comfort food. Sorry for your lack of sleep and hopefully you can get in a nap today (after chores of course)

Happy Tuesday everyone! Knee pain is horrible! I hope you find some relief soon @beckyw2016 it's been mild here lately, in the 40s. I'll take that for mid-January! Nothing new to report on the MIL. She's still having intermittent nausea/vomiting but she stopped taking the anti-nausea meds! The RO told her yesterday to take them every 8 hours so it stays in her system. It's my day to run her so that means a short day at work. I hope you all have a GREAT day!

Good morning, Friends! I was glad I went to the Lifetime meeting last night...for one thing, I just don't drive at dark a lot anymore and I don't want to *quit*, I was proud of myself I didn't let the rain/wind keep me home and I had a good time! I met up with a WW friend from Connect and enjoyed the leader and the conversation; there is so much mis-information about LT out there and it makes me crazy. We discussed everything from how to handle a program change, weekly points, and *of course* how important it is to weigh in and attend a meeting every week. As much as I like to air my views, I just stay quiet about that, LOL. I do think one issue for me giving meetings much of a try is that there's not a center closer than 20 minutes away, there is a local travel meeting weekly, but I have always preferred a center, so *we'll see*. The next two months the first of the month is on Wed, so I'll be flying in to weigh and leave (ah yes, there was conversation about *those* people and I just slunk down a little lower in my chair. 😜) Nice quiet day, J and I are trying a new restaurant tonight, so that will be fun. The piano technician is coming today to give a *once over*, so I will hopefully be shutting the door on the move today; I'm not expecting a problem, but I don't remember it ever being so out of tune, so will be interested in the report. borntexan I have had different responses from the cortisone shots I've had and some took a little longer to settle in, so I'll still keep my fingers 🤞for you. neen I know so many people aren't consistent with their meds; I hope MIL's talking-to helps! Keep going, everyone.

It's STILL raining here. We had a little bit of ice yesterday around 4;00, but it did not slow our meeting down. We had 31 people, which was great.
I am still feeling nauseous today. There is no way it should still be the stomach bug as that was a week ago. But I'm just so weak, don't really feel like eating and have waves of being queezey. Yesterday I was doing good, so I had two very big helpings of fried cabbage and kielbasa, I'm pretty sure that's what actually did me in.
It was crackers for breakfast and I think I'll do my Greek yogurt for lunch. I'm not sure I'm ready to try the leftovers!
I have 4 kids out with fevers and various things. One staff member is in the hospital with pneumonia. We have so many different germs going around right now it's crazy!

Good morning all! A very mild day here in Houston, we're supposed to get up to 82! I'm sorry for everyone that is having typical winter weather. Hopefully, things clear out quickly! @beckyw2016 I'm sorry the knee is still giving you problems. Hopefully the doctor has some answers for you. lmenglish what is a cardio version that DH is having? Hope all goes well. neen still keeping good thoughts for MIL and her treatments. pbnj I'm impressed with your commitment to exercise. I'm basically lazy so it's hard for me to do more than my morning 2 mile walk. (I guess that is something!) ksbruns thanks for the update about the LT meeting. Interesting to hear what they recommend. We don't have those type of meetings in my part of town. sullicat1 Sorry you're stuck in the house. That always tempts me to eat and eat. Good luck staying OP. hpeterson1951 I'm sorry you are still feeling poorly. Hope things improve soon. To everyone else I missed: hope you all have a great OP day! Oscar nominations come out today which will give me some ideas of movies to see. There are a lot of good ones this year.

Good morning everybody. It is dry here at the moment, although the news says the storm is still moving through. Starting around Noon we are supposed to be storm free through the weekend. ksbruns, your Lifetime meeting report is interesting. I am only aware of one Lifetime meeting in my area; it is held at a center on a Saturday and usually packed with so many non-lifetime members that there is absolutely no content or discussion about being Lifetime--so what's the point!
This morning is work a the library. I think I'll try to fit in a 30-minute walk this morning beforehand as my exercise rather than hitting the gym; it'll fit my schedule better.
The Oscar nominations were announced this morning with LA LA LAND garnering the largest number of nominations. So I've put that movie on the list of things to do tomorrow.
The morning news had one of those reports of a health study. This one shows that animals who eat burnt toast or well-cooked starchy foods cooked at high temperature are at a higher risk of cancer. Then it went on to say that a human would have to eat more than 250+ times the amount of the chemical produced by the cooking in order to be at risk of developing a tumor. Thanks, scientific investigators—-what should we do with this information? I think the media may need less news parrots and some more news interpreters!
Have a great day.
