jbird, I’m just curious…since you found the yogurt for $1 apiece, what is the usual price. It is always 10 for $10—or a buck apiece—around Silicon Valley.

DotRen ,I find most ckbks on kindle challenging. There never seems to be a table of contents. One WW kindle book had a pot of lasagna but I didn't have time to go through multiple recipes It seems like so many ebooks are just pirated recipes from blogs and other cookbooks, too. I love the ebooks, but trying to find a recipe (like you said) can be difficult. If you want to print it out, or copy it to a "word" type program, it's a pain in the butt, too.

I love those lemon meringue yogurts - I just don't understand why lemon is considered a "seasonal" flavor! I wrote to Dannon about that but didn't get an answer. I mean, shouldn't we be able to get lemon flavored things all year? I'm also trying to stay away from artificial sweeteners these days so may not eat as many of them as I have in past years.

From Danon’s perspective, I think the seasonality has to do with how much of the product they were selling when they made it all year round. Summer seems more like lemonade weather and then winter. Unless, of course, you are alcohol to the lemonade!

I remember 20 or so years ago when yogurt was just getting popular that lemon was always a standard flavor that was available. Then it just seemed to disappear from the stores.

How is this True Lemon different from using a real lemon? I have a lemon tree in my back yard. Can I squeeze lemon juice into Greek yogurt? It won't curdle it? Although Greek yogurt already tastes a little bit curdled. LOL
ETA: I think the Dannon Light & Fit are around $.97 here at Walmart.

ETA: I think the Dannon Light & Fit are around $.97 here at Walmart. True Lemon is crystalized and powdered. That makes it concentrated. If you have a lemon tree, then you’re all set. I do not have a tree. Without a tree, a lemon at the grocery store around here can run up to $1 apiece! I suspect lemon juice could curdle yogurt, but you’d have to try to find out.
I looked for the Light & Fit Lemon Meringue flavor at one of my stores the other day and they are not carrying it.

 Maybe they just haven't gotten it in yet?
Thanks for the info on the True Lemon. Obviously I'm going to try to put lemon juice in plain greek yogurt. I put some granola into my Lemon Meringue and shot a bit of FF Redi Whip on top. I was eating a Lemon Meringue pie! You can't tell me otherwise.

I have squeezed lemon juice in plain yogurt and it didn't curdle it. Also added some sweetener, as I love lemon, just don't like it too sweet. Like my lemony stuffs sort of tart.
