It seems it's only fake when someone is reporting truthfully about him. It's not fake when he gives out an absolutely false report. Just one more example of those "alternative facts." When I was in school, it surely would have allowed me to do a lot more partying if I had only known that alternative facts were not only acceptable but actually preferable to actual facts.

I'm not surprised at a damn thing this raving thug does or says. He's an out of control puffed up ego maniacal lying dictator. I won't call him president or even sir. He's not either one. What I call him I won't post on here because I don't want to get banned. lol.
I'm having a little bit of an issue with Conservative/Republicans being okay with children being torn from the arms of their parents and placed in cages. Call me a snowflake, but terrified and crying children make me want to rescue the kids from the cages and put the people who threw them in there instead! Including the perv in the WH! Where's the outrage? Aren't these the same people that stand outside women's health clinics and scream at women wanting to use the services of the clinic? You know, the family value crowd. Why are they silent now? Could it be because these kids are "only" immigrants?
"Suffer not the little children to come unto me." Phony basturds!
How can this be? They get all bent out of shape over a friggin' wedding cake and yet ripping children out of their parents arms and throwing them in a cage is perfectly fine? Who knows what kind of people are 'caring' for these innocents? A frightened child is perfect prey for all kinds of crazies, and trust me, it's obvious we have an abundance of lunatics.
My heart aches for these frightened children and their parents. This is the party of god? What god? Lucifer? Kidnapping is making America great? Are we out of our collective minds? Do we even have minds?
"First they came for the Migrants."

Evidently children are only precious if they are still in the womb. Once they're born, then there's no compassion to be found for them and especially not if they were not fortunate enough to have been born in the US to parents who are US citizens, and even then if they were not fortunate enough to be born to wealthy parents or at the very least middle class parents.
As for Jeff Sessions trying to use the Bible to justify this, that just makes me want to throw up. Clearly he has no idea what the Bible actually says about children or about immigrants, much less what Christ taught. The way these poor children are being treated is an abomination.

I blame both sides for not being willing to work together. That isn't unique to this administration, but it is a much deeper divide than we've seen before, even in the GOP itself. They need to set aside their personal differences and do their jobs "for the people", as they were pledged to do.
IMO anyway.

It's been so long since we've seen Rs and Ds work together for anything that it's hard to even remember what that was like. We are a bitterly divided country, and DotRen, is right that it's not all the fault of any one party. It's not even all the fault of politicians in general. They would work together if they felt the voters demanded it of them, but they've learned that as a whole we are not going to demand it from them. Some voters just don't pay enough attention to even know what is going on and for that matter couldn't name their Representative or Senators if their life depended upon it, other voters seem to enjoy the "fight". We have allowed this to happen.

While I am in total agreement that both sides are at fault because both sides are imperfect human beings, imho, one side is a hell of a lot more dangerous, hateful, angry, deceitful, violent, arrogant, frightening, divisive, closed minded, puffed up, stubborn, drunk with power, and just plain meaner than the other. While geographically we are all Americans, it sure feels like we're living in totally different worlds. Doesn't it?
So, now America is into kidnapping. Ripping innocent children from their parents arms and shoving them in tents. BTW, am I the only one who remembers being told these 'tents' were purchased by FEMA for temporary housing in case of a weather disaster? Suspicious minds can't rest.
Anyone who remembers the feeling of panic when as a child you thought you were lost in a BIG store (even though you really weren't) can relate to how these terrified innocent children are feeling. Snatched from their parents by evil monsters. A child's worst nightmare coming true right here in the land of the free. America, at this moment, is an infected pimple full of disgusting pus. How would you feel if it were your child or your grandchild? Where's the outrage??
The AG quotes bible verses to defend such cruelty? This is why our Founding Fathers fought so hard to keep religion and superstition out of government! How's that working out for us?
This is more than disturbing. I don't even have a word for it.

You're right Pat. There simply are no words that can describe the horror of what our country, and therefore each of us, is doing to these innocent children. That this is being done in my name as an American citizen is just beyond anything I could have ever conceived. That the entire country does not rise up against this is more than I can understand. I have contacted both my Senators and my Representative (I have a new one now that I've moved. Had to look him up), but I have no hope whatsoever of them actually doing anything. If these children do actually grow up to become terrorists we will have no one but ourselves to thank for it. How could they do anything but hate us after what we have done to them. Unspeakable! If we were in a war this would probably be against the Geneva Convention, but then we no longer worry about things like morality. Whenever you hear a story on the news of someone who has injured a child we all say how horrible, how appalled we are, we want to see that person punished. Clearly then we don't practice what we preach because how much more injury can be done than what we are inflicting upon these innocents. I am truly ashamed.

As for Jeff Sessions trying to use the Bible to justify this, that just makes me want to throw up. The AG is using the bible as a weapon. What else is new? Founding Fathers would be horrified. I'm not horrified because the bible is a very powerful and effective weapon which has been used (abused?) many times to hurt and injure others. But, it's my religion is the perfect excuse to demean and harm others. Our Founding Fathers saw the hand writing on the wall concerning this problem. Oh well, they did the best they could and yet religion still crept into our government. Funny thing is people came here to escape religious persecution and now they're the persecutors. I can't stop thinking about these poor kids. I also can't stop thinking America is the school yard bully!

So North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat, and we are all much safer than the day the JA took office. Right! There's a really nice bridge in New York I can sell you too. Ha, The Don sold that bridge so many times to his, as he calls them "his followers" (getting a Jesus complex there?)
Getcha red hot Brooklyn Bridge right here, only a few left folks....better hurry. Geezzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Renee did you say you were from New Brunswick? One of my Uncles married a women from there.

It has been bad before but even then it was putting forth for the Country. Our Country no longer counts to that (whatever you want to call him), who is living in our White House and lining his pockets with our tax money, and the one percent he is catering to.
He does not care what he does or who he hurts just as long as he is not bored.
Oh Patty, this taking babies and toddlers away from their parents is beyond the lowest of the low, it is evil personified. Putting them in tents in Texas in the summer heat.....is cruel and sick. Speaking of sick have these kids been vaccinated or will there be an outbreak of disease to contend with?
So why are our exPresidents NOT weighing in on this treatment of children?
This is the history of our nation when weak old whitemen get scared.
Slaves- take the children from the parents....and sell them. Slaves have no feelings.
Indians- take the children away from the parents and stamp out the culture and language. Did you ever read "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee"
Japanese- Lock them up even if they are American citizens and their sons are giving their lives for this country, because we are afraid of them.
Sick about this beyond belief.

Just wondering if the people who read our thread say to themselves, yes, "they have a point, let me find out more"and then contact their Senators and Congressmen and Congresswomen?
If they are aware of what is happening and not acting then they are also complicit and are compromising their humanity. And if they do try to help, kudos to them, they are on the side of the better Angels.

Welcome back, Ann! Excellent points. We either stand up and be counted against this, or we are complicit in it. My voice may not carry far, but I choose to stand up and be counted. How can anyone who doesn't live with themselves? This isn't about politics or sides. It is about humanity.

Oh, don't go, Anne! You were just getting started. lol.
I can't get the image of those crying children being shoved into what is called a tent but looks more like a sleeping bag. What are they thinking? They are so confused and terrified. I have zero tolerance for people that abuse innocent children or animals. There is no punishment severe enough for them. I'd be more than happy to administer their punishment myself.
I've done it when I was a teenager and a young woman. Many times. Worth it too. I know I'm soft but cruelty has a way of hardening my heart and my fist. kwim?
