Yes, loved the original Murphy Brown and this one looks to be just as good. The Hillary cameo was priceless and the fake JA tweets were funny..

I do believe when Jeff Sessions is fired after the midterms, Lindsey Graham will be the new Head of the Justice Department. He will take Jeff Sessions place. ( just my opinion )
I do believe Flake will fold in about an hour & vote with the "tribe".
I do believe Kavanaugh assaulted Dr. Ford. I do believe he was a mean drunk.
I do believe the truth will be coming out soon, but it will be too late. Kavanaugh will be on the SC being a partial Judge who has temper tantrums when anyone disputes his alter boy persona.
I do believe I am depresses this morning!
UGH!

Linda, I think you are absolutely right. It is a travesty all the way around.

Also, the Jesuits have un-endorsed him. Sorry, I can't do links. You can find it over on the GDT on the Political Thread.

Flake in the elevator confronted by a woman who was a victim of sexual assault was priceless. The fact he could not look them in the eye when they were talking to him & pleading with him to understand says it all. So damn sad!

What I have learned from these hearings: The Judiciary Committee is a joke, and the Senators who are supposed to be there for the good of the people have no interest in learning the truth. They only want to see themselves as a "winner". Party is the only thing that matters, and the citizens be damned. It makes me ashamed.

Kavanaugh certainly would not have been my choice for a SC Justice. But just as I accepted Gorsuch I would have accepted him had they made even a pretense of trying to discover the actual truth. The two things that have branded Kavanaugh for me are 1) both his and the Republicans refusal to have an investigation or to allow Mark Judge to testify under oath; and 2) that rant about conspiracy theories and even bringing in the Clintons that Kavanaugh used for his opening statement along with the temper he displayed throughout. I completely understand his being upset, especially if he should be innocent, but a judge and most particularly a judge sitting on the Supreme Court should want an investigation and all the evidence laid out on the table. A judge should be able to overcome temper tantrums and should show that he has the ability to weigh very important matters in a professional manner. What he displayed to me was that he is totally partisan, that he has a ferocious temper when things don't seem to be going his way, and that he can never be counted on to look at any issue impartially. I was truly willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he completely blew that out of the water for me yesterday with his behavior. Was he in a difficult position? Of course, but when you want to sit on the highest court of the land you should be able to at the very least conduct yourself with composure. You should at least pretend you want the whole truth to be displayed for everyone.
As for Lindsey Graham, he just displayed himself to be what he is. He's an ambitious SOB who likes to grandstand and who is sucking up to the JA big time. Jeff Sessions better chain himself to his seat because Graham is gunning for it big time. Most likely, he'll get it too.

So, what is the vote in about an hour & half from now about?....I know they voted for Kavanaugh on the Judiciary Committee this morning, but now are all the other Republicans voting at 1:30 EST? So, that means Collins & Merkowski will be voting later this morning? And then a full vote of the Senate next week?

Republicans.....We respect Dr. Ford & believe she was sexually assaulted, even tho, she stated she was 100% sure it was Kavanaugh, she was just mixed up & mistaken.
Republicans...Kavanaugh said he wasn't there, didn't drink to excess, it was revenge for the Clintons, & it was a shame the alter boy image was attacked.
Republicans...We believe Kavaugh....End of discussion!

The JA's playbook always works. Come out swinging at anyone who dares to say anything against you, never play fair, and always, always blame the Democrats and the Clintons. That's a sure fire winning strategy whenever it comes to Republicans. The uglier you can make it the better, and blaming the Dems and the Clintons is especially on the top of the hit parade chart. Whatever you do, don't ever take a chance on letting anyone speak who might shed a truthful light on the situation at hand.
I was even willing to give Kavanaugh the doubt that he was a kid and he was so drunk he doesn't remember. But he lost any chance of that with the way he conducted himself yesterday. We don't have any proof and most likely never will, but HE (not the Democrats and not Dr Ford) convinced me yesterday that he is guilty as charged, that he knows he did it, and that he is a mean, spiteful, nasty person. A perfect fit for the JA and evidently also Lindsey Graham. What a trio!

"Graham: "Somebody's got to explain this to Trump" LOL! It really would be slapstick comedy if it weren't all so very serious.
Senator Klobuchar is someone I wasn't very familiar with before, but she has impressed me very favorably throughout this debacle.

My thought exactly when I heard Graham say that. Does anyone wonder if Kavenaugh will with draw his name with a FBI investigation looming? He likes to gamble. Wonder if he will gamble on the FBI findings?
