McConnell mocks the incident of Kavanaugh throwing ice at a patron in a bar & starting a fight where his friend was taken in because the friend then hit the patron with a glass. Sounds like Kavanaugh likes to act big, start stuff & then let his friends take the hit for something he initially started. No big deal, I guess, according to McConnell.

Somewhere in America, a teenage girl is listening to her parents defend Bret Kavanaugh and she is thinking to herself, "If something like that ever happens to me, I have nowhere to go."

Todd Hollowman Reasonable People Unite WOW, what a statement!...Oh, so true! McConnell just stated that the public won't be able to see the FBI report on Kavanaugh.....WTH! This country is "screwed" more every day that McConnell, Graham & JA are in power. God or whoever, help us all!...UGH!

They should be forced to make that report public! He was interviewing for a public job paid for by taxpayer dollars. Taxpayer dollars are paying for the investigation. Taxpayers absolutely should have the right to know exactly what is in the report, unless he wants to withdraw his name from contention.
The JA says it would be unacceptable to lie to Congress, that is unless it's him or some of his family or someone on his behalf or someone he wants to make a SC Justice, etc.

The JA says it would be unacceptable to lie to Congress LOL! And again I say, "LOL!" Okay, this one is making my sides hurt from laughter. But, that's a good thing. I needed that laugh. Thank you, Joyce. This coming from the Liar-In-Chief?! Hello? It is unacceptable to lie. Period! He's an idiot and an embarrassment. So are his loyal minions. Aren't they exhausting? One more LOL thing. I just heard the Liar-In-Chief/Grabber-In-Chief said something like, "It's a very scary time for men in America" because so many women are complaining about sexual attacks. Come again? It's a very scary time for men? Men? How long are decent people going to put up with this? Does Ivanka and Tiffany have nothing to say? Melania either? One more time with feeling. This is not a presidential administration. This is a silly reality TV show with sex, lies, and outrageous story lines. If you were still working and if there were still water coolers in offices, this would be the hot topic around that cooler. The unbelievable story line from that stupid reality TV show.

Well JA actually “went there” !!!!!......I saw an excerpt from his PA rally where he was mocking Dr Ford. No surprise, of course, that he did. But, what is even more disgusting is the people behind him cheering him on! ....I’ll just come out & say it...DEPLORABLE ! This particular basket is over flowing with deplorables!

Agreed! When Hillary used the term "deplorable" during the campaign I regretted that she went there, but she was definitely right on target. The really strange thing is that most of those people who cheer him on with his mean, nasty comments, his jeers and snears, his obvious lies, would tell you with a straight face that they think it's wrong to lie, that it's wrong to bully, etc. How can they not see the hypocrisy in that?!
Kavanaugh is going on the court. A proven liar, obnoxious drunk, angry, vicious temperament, partisan man totally unsuited for judgeship at all is about to be confirmed for life to the highest court in the land. But why should we be surprised? Look who's sitting in the Oval Office.
Those cheering crowds behind the JA are not the majority of Americans, and if the majority of Americans don't rise up and put an end to this debacle starting with the mid-terms and then in 2020 our country and everything I've always thought we stood for is a farce. We will deserve exactly what we get.

I'm waiting to hear what Lindsey Graham has to say about JA mocking Dr. Ford last night. Susan Collins said it's "just plain wrong"...Jeff Flake said "its appalling"..Now if these 2 then vote for Kavanaugh, it will say so much about them. In my world, you can' say that & then go ahead & vote him to the SC. That's "just plain wrong"!!!!!!

I really hope that both Flake and Collins will surprise me, but I think they will end up voting the party line like they always do. Maybe this time they'll take a stand. At least we can hope.
Did anyone other than the most deluded of his followers ever think that the JA was really a "self-made" man? He and his family have defrauded the government out of millions in tax dollars. For anyone else that would mean prison. For them, however, it's a badge of honor and his brainless followers who many of them are lucky if they can make the rent or their car payment will cheer him on for being such a genius. Sorry, I forgot! That's supposed to be a "stable genius". LOL!

So, Fred Trump is a criminal & passed that trait down to his kids & grandkids. Hmmmmmm, he got away with it & I would suppose JA & his family will get away with it as well. Just the way this crazy world works for the rich & famous. You are right, Joyce, his "deluded" followers will make excuses & forgive. You know, I always wonder the day after a rally, if these cheering idiots look in the mirror & like the person they see.?!?! Are they proud of their cheering behavior, are they happy they brought their kids to JA rally, etc...I suspect so!...Disgusting!

Having a 28 year old son, I agree - in part -that it has the potential to be a dangerous time for "boys". I am not, in any way, lessening the women/men who have suffered victimization (the act or the awful way they're treated after/coming forward), but as a mother, I can see why it could be a ticking time-bomb. It only takes 1 false accusation to: ruin someone OR ruin the #metoo movement, and invalidate all the good it's done getting victims to come forward.

It's a dangerous time for everyone, but then it's always been that way for women. Women have always had to "suck it up" and pretend nothing happened, or fight to be believed because men have always been given the benefit of the doubt. She shouldn't have dressed that way, she shouldn't have been there, etc. An unfair double standard has always existed. I hope that is going to come to an end someday as our granddaughters become adults. At the same time, yes, there are some women who make false accusations and that can ruin someone's life. We had an instance of this with someone in our extended family. Fortunately, he was able to prove conclusively by demanding and getting an immediate investigation that the person was lying and that her allegation in fact never happened, but it was a very difficult time for him. She ended up admitting that she had made the entire thing up. So there can be danger on both sides, but I think the way to correct that is to always take allegations seriously. Always do serious investigation and follow-up, and always publicly make the facts known once an investigation has been completed. Both parties should be given the benefit of the doubt until one side or the other is proven. In the case of Kavanaugh, I think he was given the benefit of the doubt but he turned out to be his own worst enemy with the way he presented himself, and the fact that he did not want an investigation. In this particular case, we may very well never know conclusively because it was so long ago. That's why we need to work on building an atmosphere where women and girls feel safe in coming forward in a timely enough manner that the truth can be found. Here we were left to judge, unless the FBI has turned up something else, by the way each one presented him/herself. That's certainly not an ideal situation, but it was the one we had. Had Dr. Ford felt safe in coming forward at the time, things would have been much simpler. But I can certainly understand why she did not feel safe in doing that. For so long we have branded victims, and we must change that.

JA says, "My supporters are "really angry" at the way Democrats are treating Kavanaugh." Well guess what! Decent people across the country are really angry about the way Republicans are treating Dr. Ford beginning with the JA, Mitch McConnell, and all of the R senators on the judicial committee except Flake.
