I hope millennials will turnout to vote. I keep reading different things. I read one article and it will say that millennials don't turnout to vote. Then I read another article and it says this time is different and millennials will turn out to vote. At this point it seems to be anybody's guess, but I am crossing my fingers that they will turn out strongly and make their voices heard. Things are not looking good here in TN in the Bredesen vs Blackburn race. A LOT of Republican money has poured into the state, and while both are running negative ads Blackburn has some really nasty ones out. I guess, like the JA, she recognizes her base and plays to that element. One thing is for sure, she's hanging on so tightly to the JA that he's likely to stamp Trump on her forehead and start charging her rent. I don't know a lot about Beto in Texas, but I think anyone would be better than Ted Cruz. If Cruz loses I am going to be doing a happy dance across my living room. I can hear the music in my head now: "You know you make me wanna (Shout!) Kick my heels up and (Shout!) Throw my hands up and (Shout!) Throw my head back and (Shout!) Come on now (Shout!)"

JA whining about the 2 maniacs who interrupted the GOP momentum is disgusting. Really 11 people killed, many wounded, including 4 law enforcement officers, pipe bombs sent to a multitude of people over the course of several days & he has to whine about the momentum. But why should one be surprised. it's who he is. DISGUSTING!
It's pretty much a given that Heidkampt will lose here in ND. Shame. Her opponent is right up there with JA & Co. I would love to see Cruz go down. Marsha Blackburn is one who is like fingernails on a chalk board when she talks. I've heard her a few times on TV & ICK!
I took a break from the politicsl talk & watched DGD play her first college game this afternoon. It was streamed on the internet, so, I didn't have to travel & could watch in the comfort of my home. Sweet!..Her team won by 20 & will play again tomorrow & Sunday.
It's trying to snow here. Dark, gloomy chilly day.

Yay for your DGD's basketball team, Linda! That's great that you were able to watch her play without having to leave home. I know it makes her happy knowing that you are watching. It's gloomy, damp, and sprinkling rain here, but temperature is about 55* which I consider cold although Linda would probably be breaking out her bikini at 55*. I'm definitely not ready for snow! What I want is 70s and sunshine. Is that too much to ask?

Such a shame that our military families who already give so much for our country are now being used as a political pawn for the amusement of this JA. Knowing this JA, however, we should probably be grateful he hasn't decided to drop a nuclear bomb somewhere. He'd be perfectly capable of that if he saw it benefiting himself in any way.

I am not even watching the news this morning. I turned it on and the first 2 stories were shootings, so I'm taking a day off of news.

This kind of thing really upsets me. How can teachers, especially elementary school teachers, be so insensitive? I just have absolutely no patience for this. I'm glad that people in the community spoke out against it, but just think that if these teachers really feel this way what are the children picking up from them in the classroom each day even subliminally? Imagine if there are any Hispanic children in their classrooms how they must feel. To me this kind of thoughtlessness from someone who is privileged to help mold young minds is just completely unacceptable. OK, I'll get down off the soap box now, but this still really does upset me. www.cnn.com/2018/11/02/us/idaho-teachers-border-costume-trnd/index.html

I would hope the school administration & School Board came down hard on these teachers. Wow! It is totally unacceptable. If someone had dressed as JA & had children in cages, the Republicans would be screaming their heads off about the " liberals in the school system" Neither scenario is acceptable in any school setting. Just think how JA is changing society & giving permission to carry out this crap on a daily basis. And Yes I do blame him & his rhetoric & behavior. Plus, all his enablers that know better & do nothing but stand silently by or not so silently as in case of KAC & SHS,
We had 3 inches of snow overnight. So, its a winter wonderland out there for some. For me, it's just cold & gloomy...LOL...My old aching bones don't do well in cold damp weather anymore. I did put cocoa out in the Little Free Library. Tis the season for that now.
Thinking I will leave TV off today. Our School football team in playing in semi-finals at State Tourney so may listen to that on the radio & later this afternoon, DGS plays in semi-finals at her college tourney & that is being streamed live on the internet.
Have a pleasant day in your corner of the world.

JUST FOR 6 HOURS...
First lady Melania Trump racked up an astonishing $95,000 tab at a Cairo hotel at the end of her African goodwill tour last month, according to federal records.
That was more than the taxpayer bill for President Donald Trump for a two-day stay with his entourage in Scotland after a visit this summer to England, noted Quartz, which was the first to report the first lady’s Cairo tab.
The first lady’s spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, was furious that the initial report — later picked up by The Hill — said Melania Trump spent the night at the Semiramis Intercontinental Cairo. In fact, she spent only six hours there, Grisham told both Quartz and The Hill in angry Twitter posts.
Grisham complained that, “sadly, the damage from this false reporting is done,” referring to The Hill — as if the fact that it cost taxpayers $95,000 for a mere six-hour visit instead of for an overnight stay was somehow more understandable. Grisham also called the Quartz report “irresponsible journalism.”
Nevertheless, federal records state that $95,000 was paid to the Cairo hotel on Sept. 30. ........HUFF POST

Geez! That's $15,833 per hour! What on earth can you do that costs that much? Clearly it's not a lifestyle I'm familiar with as I can't even imagine what would cost that much. LOL! Not much chance that I'll ever find out either, but I surely wouldn't trade my little corner of the world and my lifestyle for hers. Linda, I'm picturing your snow and kids out sledding, then coming and getting packets of hot chocolate from your little library. That makes me smile. I wish we had a lot more people like you in the world instead of idiotic teachers like those in the article above. If we could just clone you, and replace all those grinning, chanting idiots that line up behind the JA every rally the world would be a much better place. Good luck to your DGD in her game today!

I was watching MSNBC this morning and they had a segment where the reporter was talking to a woman in Florida. She (the woman) was part of a group who had gotten out to register the Puerto Ricans who have permanently moved to Florida. She said originally those coming to the doors of these people didn't look, or talk like them. So her group made an effort to get people out there than the Puerto Ricans could relate too. They registered 60,000 voters! Hoping these folks will now get out and vote, and seeing how Trump and company treated Puerto Rico will make their voices heard.

Amen to that Luanne! It is shameful the way he has treated Puerto Rico.
