LOL! I have to agree with Luanne. I prefer daylight savings time too. I hate having it get dark so early in the afternoon/evening in the winter.

CNN this morning said 53% of Tennesseans think the JA is doing a good job. My theory on that is that at least 50% of that number have no idea what he's doing. They support him because he's Republican, and nothing bad has happened directly to them. But I bet you they couldn't name a single thing he has actually done for them. They can all probably parrot "Build that wall," but don't really care whether it gets built or not. It's just a "fun" slogan kind of like "lock her up." But, a large number of that 53% are probably also older voters and most likely will vote if they have not already done so, and they will vote a straight Republican ticket because that's what they do. They have no actual thoughts on the issues. Many of them also have no idea that Republicans want to cut their SS, Medicare, and Medicaid because they haven't been listening to Republicans who are not shy about saying so (re: Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan). Not a very pleasant picture of 53% of my state, but unfortunately I think I'm probably pretty accurate about it.

Joyce, it's probably the same in here in ND. It's more about voting against Democrats, than voting for JA & his policies. My DS & family & my good friend who voted for JA in 2016 actually admitted they don't listen to the news anymore. So, they don't hear or care about the ugly rhetoric that he spews every minute of the day. They use the excuse of not keeping up with the news, so they can claim ignorance on this spreading of hate he is doing. Both DS & family & my friend are good caring people, who, I have to believe do not condone what JA says & does but have a hard time voting for Democrats & Democrat policies. They just refuse to see past their noses or realize the Republican party they once knew & believed in no longer exists. It's Trump's party now. I hope they don't wake up & realize this when its way too late to do something about what's happening in this country or to their Republican party they once believed in.

Yes, Linda, I'd bet my next SS check that the Republicans I know here are the same. They really have no idea what has become of their party, and they wouldn't approve of it if they woke up and paid attention.

Actually I do love daylight savings time. Okay. That's one. lol. Really? What do you like about it? Do tell. lol. I like it being lighter later. I'm not really a morning person so it's usually light by the time I get up whether it's standard or daylight savings.
Please tell me what it is you don't like about it.

This could really spell trouble all the way around.........
POLITICS 11/05/2018 07:48 am ET Armed Militia Groups Head To The Border, Sparking Military Concerns Hundreds of armed civilians are already encamped along the border, drawn by President Donald Trump’s hyperbole about a migrant caravan “invasion.” By Mary Papenfuss.....Huff Post
The amount of $$$ spent on this Mid-Term is staggering. Billions & Billions. Think what those $$$ could do for schools, infra-structure, health care, etc. Does anyone even watch the ads on TV?? I don't, either side. Waste of money there, IMHO. Just mind boggling that it has come down to who has the most Billions, not Millions to win an election for their party.
It's a cold, windy, gloomy day here. The wind is howling!...:-(

I'm escaping all of this, at least for awhile. Dh gave dd (who is 28) and I a spa trip. We'll be gone overnight and will spend our time relaxing, being pampered and just spending time together. We'll be back in time to listen to the midterm results. Maybe I should have planned this trip for AFTER the elections.

It's been a full, long day for me, and now it's pouring down rain here. Wonder how much weather is going to affect voting tomorrow? No matter what, I'll be glad to have it behind us. Linda mentioned the money spent on ads and how that could be put to better use. There has been a ton of money spent on ads in my state, and as she said I don't watch them, not any of them. Maybe some people do, but I really wonder if the ads make all that much difference. Certainly the money could be put to a much better use. Do you ever hear anyone in Washington mentioning our infrastructure anymore? luanne, enjoy your spa day and the time with your daughter. Sounds wonderful!

Someone or maybe many people are likely to end up getting hurt or even killed, and you can bet the JA will not shoulder any of the blame. He doesn't care what happens to any of these people no matter which side of the border they are on or where their citizenship lies. If immigrants are killed, it's nothing to him. If American citizens are killed for his made up "invasion" he doesn't care either. It'll all just be more ammunition and red meat for his rallies.

From Andy Borowitz . . . "Trump is terrified that Americans may be “actively plotting” to influence the election results." I sure hope so! Today is the day. I guess we'll find out by how many people actually come out and vote against this Republican Congress just whether or not people really care or not, or maybe if they've just given up. I am optimistic that we will find that yes, the American people are fed up. They've had enough and they're ready to stand up and have their vote counted. I'm afraid Marsha Blackburn has TN sewn up, but there's a chance. I'm virtually certain that Republican Bill Lee will win the governorship. However, of all the Republican candidates in the primary for governorship he was the best of that bunch. I'm crossing my fingers here for Beto because I can't stand Ted Cruz, and I really, really want to see Stacey Abrams crush Brian Kemp in Georgia. From everything I've seen and read about Kemp, he's run a really dirty campaign trying to suppress as many votes as he possibly can. I'm just sick and tired of seeing the Republican party try to take away people's right to vote. So get ready to watch the results tonight. Everyone got popcorn? Actually, I'm going to DGS's basketball game tonight, but I'll be home before the results are in.

Joyce, Enjoy the BB game tonight. I love watching the grandkids participate in sports.
I'm going to vote this morning right after we take Jason to work & then will come home & wait & wait & wait till this evening for the results. I don't think Heidi Heidkampt can pull out a victory here in ND...She is down by double digits, but having said that, she was down by 10 last time she ran & pulled thru with a win. But, this time around the GOP ND legislature has suppressed the Native American votes, so that will definitely hurt Heidkampt. So dirty politics all over the country.
Of all the races, I would love for Cruz to be kicked to the curb. One less 'ick' to have to listen too. Just typing his name sends chills down my spine.
I'm sure by early evening & for sure tomorrow, JA will be tweeting out accusations of voter fraud!...Get ready for that!!
Anyway, enjoy your day & lets keep fingers, toes & whatever crossed the Dems can pull out some huge victories tonight to start taking back this country from JA.
I would also bet, the Mueller investigation will be front & center soon, Sessions & Rosenstien will be fired & goodness knows what else JA will be trying to pull. Things will not be settling down anytime soon.
