I agree with Anne, if you felt uncomfortable with it, Joyce, then taking it down was wise. I left FB altogether...I unfriended everyone, closed down my Library Page, & temporarily deleted my account for the world to see. If I want to go on FB I can still log on to watch DGS streamed wrestling, & then just log off again. After the Gkids are done with sports I am planning to permanently delete my account. I don't trust FB at all. I think Mark Z. is pulling a fast one by saying FB is doing all they can about Russian hacking, etc. Just don't believe him one iota. I don't do Twitter, SnapChat or whatever. I know I miss lots of pics of Grandkids, I suppose, but, just not worth it IMHO to be on any of those sites. I think it's going to get worse rather than better. Trying to sway a Trump supporter is useless. They are blind & could care less.

I give up. I deleted the post as I said above an hour or so ago. But, I just got a Messenger message from my cousin who evidently had been "stewing" about the post, and thinks that somehow I was dissing her son who is a police officer in a school in Texas. Honestly, how do I get myself into these messes. I KNEW better than to post anything on FB in the first place. It always comes back to bite you. Honestly, what was so difficult to understand about that meme? I am going to go beat my head against a wall now -- not "the wall" as I still hope that never gets built.
Truthfully, did any of you not understand the meme? Am I the only person who saw it as sarcasm?
Linda, I normally do not post anything on FB but I do read, and if it weren't for family pictures I would delete my account. I may end up doing that anyway. Holy cow people surely can get their panties in a wad over the most ridiculous things.

Take off that MAGA cap and put on your thinking cap! Joyce, I hate to disappoint you but I'm certain not one of those people have a 'thinking' cap anywhere in the house, the garage, the shed, or the barn. I haven't seen any evidence of that. Have you? I agree with Anne. I'm glad you took it down too. I also agree with her that they just don't get sarcasm or humor. I bet they didn't even see the word "Whoa" and if they did they probably thought it meant the wall was the most excellent idea ever. I loved it. It made me lol.

[tr][td class="content"][article] As for AOC she is definitely not the norm, and she's not going to let any old white men keep her silent. I listened to an interview with her, and she had a lot of very good points. There seems to be some friction (or maybe it's just hype) between her and Nancy. I think a lot of people in both parties don't really know what to make of her. I hope she's going to turn out to be genuine. It's a sign of what this JA has brought us to that we are wary of anything in politics anymore, but definitely hoping for the best with AOC.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Me said.......You can take the girl out of the BRONX but you can't take the BRONX out of the girl!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL Nancy is 78, youngest of 7 and the only girl. Grew up in a more then comfortable home. AOC is 29, grew up with a mom that cleaned houses and drove a school bus. They are almost 2 generations apart. I personally think they will be good for each other and hopefully learn from each other, AOC is a firecracker and Nancy takes a calmer stance. fingers crossed....
thinks that somehow I was dissing her son who is a police officer in a school in Texas. Oh, sure. I can see where she got that idea. The guy looks like a cop who lives and works in Texas. Who doesn't see that right away? If I'm not mistaken all cops in Texas have light bulbs on their head gear. I'm beginning to think there really might be something in the water because it appears most people truly are bat sh!t crazy!
No, Pat, she thought the meme about the wall was somehow dissing her son the cop in a school. LOL! She hasn't seen the "thinking cap" picture thank the Lord! I'd probably get banned from all future family reunions if she ever saw that. She's really upset, and it beats the heck out of me why. No matter how I look at it I can't figure out how she got out of the meme that I thought was being sarcastic about "the wall" that I was actually saying something negative about prayer and about school police officers. I'm trying not to let it bother me, but I love her and I am really sorry that somehow no matter how unintentionally I upset her. Oh well, tomorrow is another day, and I'll just chalk this up to "lesson learned." Keep my opinions off Facebook and only use it to look at family pictures.
I heard it suggested that the three major networks and cable should use real-time fact checkers during his address. Debunking and discrediting live his false claims is a good idea but, how depressing we've reached the point where we are actually having to consider such a measure.
I have a feeling this is going to be a very bumpy week after JA gives his lies tonight about his wall. Funny, that he requested Prime Time on the major networks & cable. The very one's he accuses of being Fake News. So, after his speech, guess, that means his speech is fake....LOL ...But seriously, I think many are very nervous that this is the week he will push things to the very edge & really create a crisis. As someone mentioned, it isn't the Wall that's the Nation Security issue, its the President himself that is.
Debunking and discrediting live his false claims is a good idea but, how depressing we've reached the point where we are actually having to consider such a measure. I'd love to see them do that! They could run a feed at the bottom of the screen or maybe have a split screen debunking as he goes. You know ahead of time that not one single word of truth is going to come out of his foul mouth. It's like knowing that a train wreck is coming, but being powerless to stop it. You just stand there frozen in horror.
Pence is just repeating the same lies SHS spewed on the morning shows Sunday. They were debunked all day, and Chris Wallace from Fox actually called SHS out on her lies in real time as he interviewed her, but it didn't phase her. She just kept repeating it ad nauseum and never once backed away from the lies. And his supporters, the Fox viewers, just say "well, that must be true. Chris Wallace must be a secret member of the fake news force." I'm surprised he doesn't get fired from Fox, but then sometimes he's just as bad as the rest of them. His father Mike must be rolling in his grave that he's works for Fox.
Well, at least Pelosi & Schummer are giving a rebuttal after JA speaks. It sounds like most of the networks will carry this as well. I would be surprised if FOX does. I'm sure they want their viewers to see JA getting the last word in & not Pelosi & Schummer. I wonder if JA knew this would be a possibility of them rebutting after his speech...LOL....I bet he thought he would the whole spotlight & last word tonight.
Boy if this doesn't completely trash any last shred of credibility, I don't know what will. He risks big trouble if down the road a real and serious external crisis occurs and everyone just tunes out. It's malpractice.
I am continually amazed that someone so dim has managed to get into and mess with every inch of government. There is not a single entity or function or privilege he hasn't ^@#%* with.
It's time to call it by its name: propaganda. ETA: Hah - I'm just watching Kamala Harris on the View and she said the exact same thing. I said it first! I would vote for her in a heartbeat, but I kinda doubt the rest of the country is ready for her. You never know...
