birdgal, and lani, now you have that song going through my head too! "Out in the West Texas town of El Paso I fell in love with a Mexican girl Nighttime would find me in Rosa's cantina Music would play and Felina would whirl Blacker than night were the eyes of Felina Wicked and evil while casting a spell My love was deep for this Mexican maiden I was in love, but in vain, I could tell . . ."

I guess the National Enquirer is learning you don't mess with Jeff Bezos. LOL! They're so used to pulling this stuff with those who don't have the power or money to stand up to them they probably never stopped to think that Bezos has more money and at least as much power as all of them. Pelosi and Bezos standing up to the bullies of the world!

I see that Amy Klobuchar is announcing on Sunday. It should be interesting to have her pragmatic voice added to the mix.
I agree Joyce, the National Inquirer messed with the wrong guy.

You know everyone has been talking about Elizabeth Warren running for President so long that I had forgotten until yesterday that she had not already announced. I like Elizabeth, but I think she made a huge mistake with the Native American heritage. I have serious doubts that she can win. As terrible as it seems, I am no longer looking for the candidate I think would best represent my political ideas or even that I think would make the best president. (I know that sounds terrible, and prior to 2016 I would have never believed those words would come out of my mouth.) Now I am just looking for the person I think is most likely to be able to beat Trump. Because absolutely nothing could possibly be worse for our country, for the whole world for that matter, than him. So I will vote for anyone who can beat him. If Republicans had a spine and would run someone else in his place it would be different. But that won't happen. He will be their nominee because their party leaders just don't care what he does as long as they stay in power and his base is evidently just too stupid and hate filled to recognize how purely evil he is. Because my primary focus is beating Trump it concerns me that the Democrats seem to be moving further and further to the left. I'm pretty far left on not all but on a lot of issues, but I think in order to take back the WH and kick this JA to the curb we need someone who can also attract those independents and moderate Republicans who don't support the JA any longer. But if the Democrat candidate is too far left, I'm afraid that will scare them away and they will end up going with "the devil they know." The writing is already on the wall that the JA plans to hammer the "Socialism" label onto whoever he runs against. It just scares me to give him ammunition for that. Do you agree? Maybe I'm wrong and a far left candidate can win. I want to be wrong. Heck! I surely was wrong in thinking this POS in the WH now could ever get elected, so clearly I wasn't cut out to be a political strategist.

nashville11, I agree with your assessment. The priority has to be getting this clown out of office. I am starting to lean toward Biden as the best candidate to achieve this, but time will tell. I will be very depressed if we get another four years of this baloney.

lani , I am seeing some people promote a Biden/Harris ticket. They seem to think that would merge the best of both worlds. Maybe? Or is Biden too connected to the past?

Well, I just don't know what to say anymore about anything or anybody...hence the lack of posts lately...LOL...I'm just so frustrated & mad about the enabling of the JA in the WH.
I just listened to Mayor Pete Buttigieg with Jake Tapper. If he could get his message about the reasonable definition of socialism in this country to resonate around the country, maybe JA couldn't turn it into the "dirty" word he wants it to be to his base. Jeez, I'm still hoping JA isn't around to even run in the 2020 election.
Donnie Jr is just the same disgusting subhuman his daddy is. If you haven't seen his & his dad's tweets about the Native Americans today, google it. Yes, EW stepped all over herself with her heritage story & she will probably pay for that with a failed Presidential run, but Jr & Daddy just don't seem to care & are frankly too dang dumb, that in running down EW & trying to trash her, they are insulting the Native Americans in this country.
Amy K. from MN is announcing today...Now negative stories are coming out about her. Build them up, tear them down seems to be the story of the day concerning anyone running for President.
I just don't know a darn thing about anything anymore.... not that I really ever did...LOL...

I feel exactly the same way, Linda, that I just don't know anything about anything anymore. The whole world and everything I ever thought I knew about our country seems to have been turned upside down and we're living in a parallel universe or something. It's almost like being caught up in the Twilight Zone. I just don't recognize what has become of the people I once thought I knew so well.
I wish people would listen to reason and not be afraid of the term "socialism". I don't think anyone is trying to turn us into a socialist country per se, but there are a lot of good things about socialism. I saw one person use the term "compassionate capitalism" to describe socialism. I think some people mistakenly lump socialism with communism. Other people have visions of the government taking all their hard earned money, and some even fear it taking their property. People like the JA pound away trying to keep the population scared to death because that is to their advantage. And, unfortunately, many people are just to lazy or too "dumb" to try and learn more about it on their own. So they just accept whatever Fox News hosts broadcast and the JA tweets out as gospel.
And you are right that Jr and JA are just sickening with their tweets. How depraved do you have to be to think it is funny to joke about such a horrible and shameful part of our history?

It's the "reasonable" word his base can't or won't hear. Reasonable isn't even in their dictionary.
