Welcome to March! I'm trying to start the new thread from my phone, and not having any luck with the copy and paste for our opening. So for now, suffice it to say that we are a friendly, welcoming group. We talk about many things, but primarily what we see unfolding in the political world around us. We don't always agree, and different points of view are welcome. We do, however, always treat each poster with respect.
Sorry I couldn't do the cut and paste from,my phone. Feel free to delete what I have here and put in our normal opening.

Oh,so that's what he's doing with that flag. It looks like he's humping it. I can't imagine that thing hugging anything or anyone. Ewe. Just the thought gives me goose bumps.

Every time this cretin says he is in a difficult position, and on the one hand he loves Otto it just makes me cringe. I can't begin to imgine how it must make the Warmbiers feel. Otto Warmbier is not real to this JA. He never has been. The JA just uses him as a political pawn when it is advantageous and tosses him on the rubbish heap when it is not. There are no words to describe the depth of disgust I hold for this evil, self-serving waste of space.

Anybody else getting worried that JA will get re-elected? I just have a feeling in the pit of my tummy, he may just be able to pull it off because of the Republicans who continually enable & excuse his behavior. They are selling off the soul of American for this con man & they could care less !!! Just makes me sick!
Well, I'm shivering!! Anybody got sunshine to send. It's 50 Below with windchill....UGH!

I am still confident that you-know-who will be a one term president. Also, I am not that worried about who gets the Democratic nomination. I tend more to the center than the far left, but even if a self-described Democratic Socialist gets the nomination and is elected, there is still the Republican Senate. I fear they will retain their majority due to the way the districts are drawn to favor them. So there will be a stalemate in the government. Now, if we want to accomplish anything, I would prefer someone like Kobuchar (sp?) or Biden. Then I think more actual progress could be made. But my priority is to get that idiot out and I will vote for whoever the opponent is.

Linda, I am very worried he may get re-elected. I never believed he could get the nomination, much less the election last time so I will be biting my nails until the last vote is cast. Like lani I will be happy with anyone who can beat him, but I am far from confident that will happen. All the Pollyanna in me seems to have run and hid under the bed whe he got elected the last time. Please Democrats don't screw this up. |

I think I have adjusted to the current reality, and then I see something like the President of the United States mugging and hugging the American flag - and I think I must be in some pseudo-reality like the Matrix. That is all...  I know I've posted similar statements before, but it still blows me away. |
