He is the only one who didn't call out right wing hate against Muslims. Well, maybe the Queen didn't go there but, hey, she's 90 and a figurehead.

You know I don't even think he cares enough about Muslims, immigrants, non-whites, etc to hate them himself. Everyone and everything is just a pawn in his sick, twisted games, and he has no actual feelings about anything other than himself. He simply loves to sow the seeds of hatred and violence. To me that's almost even worse than if he truly felt it himself. I think of him almost like a puppet master. He pulls the strings and laughs as he watches the outcomes. I would like to think that the votes yesterday show that there is a crack appearing in the Republicans unwavering support of him and his evil ways, but I think that would be far too optimistic.

nashville11, I think he has a few rudimentary ideas, but they are all less important than glorifying himself in his eyes. It's a strange person who has no friends but needs constant approval from his base, and constant fighting with everyone else. And sucking up from his inner circle. It's like he doesn't even care if the people around him mean it, as long as they say it to him, and more importantly, in public.

All this doom & gloom in the world today, just makes me crabby & sad. But the skies are blue, the sun is shining, the birds are singing despite about 2 feet of snow still on the ground & one can almost smell Spring, I ordered new planters, a ton of petunias & some new gardening gloves. I just mentally needed to think of something other than the hate spewing from the WH.

I do believe there is more good in the world than evil. It's just hard to remember sometimes with this 24 hour news cycle.

Yes, I believe that too lani, but you're right that it is hard to remember sometimes. I refuse to completely give up, but if this JA gets re-elected I'm not sure I'll be able to believe that ultimately good triumphs over evil anymore. He and his followers have put my faith in mankind to the ultimate test. I need to follow Linda's lead and just get away from the news, because it really is more than just depressing.

lol give it up Lindsey! Lindsey Graham calls for an investigation into Clinton’s emails before Mueller report is releasedGet over it! She isn't the one in trouble here lol. "Although the House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly Thursday for a resolution asking that any final report in special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation be made public, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., has another priority: Hillary Clinton’s emails. The House bill passed without a single no vote, but it is a nonbinding resolution to make the Mueller report public, according to the Daily Beast."

He and his followers have put my faith in mankind to the ultimate test. Joyce, I know how you feel. We all do. I came across a quote that made me feel better about the evil that's in the WH at this moment. You know I have this thing about quotes, right? lol. I have a whole box full of them. Some on little pieces of paper or napkins. My Joyce has been saying for years she's going to organize them for me. lol. "In the right light, dirt becomes nourishment." Aimhappy.com

I saw this comment on FB this morning. Actually was made by someone on the post with the picture above. I thought you might find this New Zealander's comment interesting. "I am from Christchurch New Zealand, we had a massacre here yesterday 49 peaceful people praying at a mosque. I feel Trump stirs up racism and hatred and is responsible for emboldening such actions by these killers. Sorry but I do. There are good people in Every religion and country we need to try and do better with understanding."
Worldwide this JA is condemned. People around the world see through him for what he is, and yet the Republicans here in our own country just can't seem to break away from him, and his base is totally brainwashed.

I don't have the source handy, but I believe the manifesto of one of the NZ shooters actually named Trump. WTF does "it's a small group" even mean? Firstly, I don't believe it, and secondly, who cares how small the group is if they are killing people?

So far I'm not seeing much of substance with Beto. I think in Texas they might call that "all hat and no cattle." Is that right, DotRen,? He has been in the news so much for so long that I guess I was just expecting more than what I am seeing.

My main objection to Beto is that he hasn't done much of anything in Congress. When Pelosi was asked about his record, she said he brought new energy and vitality, with no specifics on his voting or introducing bills.
I found that quote I was looking for: The gunman, Brenton Tarrant, in his online manifesto, called our favorite president "a symbol of renewed white identity." Case closed.
