JA just can't leave dead people alone. When one has to demean someone's loved one who has passed, I'm not sure you can go much lower. Oh, well, I guess you can, JA proves that every minute of the day.......
HUFF POST......President Donald Trump has hit back at the criticism reportedly leveled at him by former first lady Barbara Bush, who died at age 92 a year ago.
Author Susan Page detailed in her new book, titled The Matriarch: Barbara Bush and the Making of an American Dynasty, that Bush believed Trump was the “real symbol of greed in the 80s” and was to blame for her hospitalization. Bush had a bedroom clock that counted down the seconds until the end of Trump’s presidency, Page wrote.
Trump told The Washington Times in an interview published Thursday that he had “heard” Bush “was nasty to me.”
“She should be,” he added, because “look what I did to her sons.”
“Look, she’s the mother of somebody that I competed against. Most people thought he [Jeb Bush] was going to win and he was quickly out,” Trump explained..

One thing you have to say about the JA, he's a non-discriminatory hater. It doesn't matter if you are dead or alive, Republican or Democrat, he'll attack just for the pleasure of attacking because he's a small, petty, disgusting waste of space and air on this planet. What surprises me is that Republicans don't object when he attacks one of their own. It was fine with them for him to go after John McCain, and now evidently it's fine with them for him to go after Barbara Bush. My guess is it won't be long until he goes after Bush 41 too. After all, didn't Bush 41 admit that he voted for Hillary? Most people try not to speak ill of the dead. That's just a part of our civilized culture, but then there's really nothing civilized about this JA.

Pat, since you're from New York I wonder if you'd mind sharing your thoughts on Kirsten Gillibrand. I saw snippets of her on Morning Joe today, but kept getting interrupted so didn't get to hear very much. Republicans must be taking her run seriously. My theory is that they attack those who they think might have a chance of winning. They've been on the attack about Biden, and now they're attacking her too saying her father worked for some sex cult. It seems like Republicans are always very worried about sex. Ever notice how most of their attacks tend to run in that direction? Hillary and the pizza place, Biden and being too "touchy feely", and now Gillibrand's father.

Well, Biden just stepped in it again. After his "clean up video", where he tries to explain his behavior & says he will try harder, he makes jokes about permission to hug at a Union speech today. I honestly don't think he gets it at all. He's his own worst enemy on this issue. I'm having serious doubts if he is the best person to beat JA.
I am not a fan of Kirsten Gllibrand. Just something I can't quite put my finger on, but she just doesn't do it for me.
Herman Cain...what a JOKE! :-(

Checking posts while waiting at the dentist office. I haven't seen anything special yet about Gillibrand either. Joe may not be the best choice. Maybe he is just too out of step with the times. As for Herman Cain, I definitely agree.

Agent Chaos on immigration: "Our country is full." I didn't cry, but I did get choked up. No illegal immigrants, no asylum, no legal immigration. At least that's how I'm interpreting it. Well, it's out in the open. But I guess it always was from the first speech about Mexico sending us rapists.

POLITICS 04/06/2019 04:01 am ET Updated 35 minutes ago Roger Stone Shares Vile Instagram Post About The Late Barbara Bush “Well she’s dead and he’s president- who won that one?” asked the longtime GOP strategist in defense of Donald Trump’s attack on the former first lady.
I think the Judge needs to shut down Roger Stones online vile posts! I thought she warned him about posting things online! Stone is just another slime ball who needs to be kicked to the curb!

The statement that 'our country is full' caught in my throat as well. *sighs* I can't wait for this reality show to be over.
I can't seem to get on board with Kristen Gilibrand either. I found myself simultaneously glazing over and irritated by her tone in a recent interview. It sounds like she's arguing and loudly even when she's merely stating her policy positions. I don't feel any connection. If given a chance to have dinner with only ten of the twenty candidates running, She'd be in the group not dining.
Say it ain't so Joe- I think his biggest problem is that he's waited too long to get in. The other business doesn't bode well at all. At best, it makes him look old and out of touch. At worst, it's a real creep factor. He should have apologized unequivocally right out of the gate.

The following was taken from a longer Huff Report.....
...For Americans who are subject to Trump's rhetoric, the most alarming element may be what it does to us. Leaders and those they lead exist in a dynamic relationship. A president's words and gestures can both inspire and terrify. The talk coming from this President is frightening, destabilizing and bewildering. We don't want to think that the man in the Oval Office is unfit, but when he repeatedly shows us the evidence, how can we draw another conclusion?....
There is such a coverup of JA declining mental health, IMHO. The family, the WH Staff, GOP Congress, his supporters, etc. What's it going to take for someone, anyone, to address this?! His rally speeches, his WH Reporter gaggles, etc, he just continues to repeat, repeat, repeat. He uses bad, big, beautiful umpteen times in just a couple sentences, he can't pronounce words, he confuses facts, words, names, etc. I guess his family is too busy making money off the American people, they just left Daddy stubble on his own. Disgusting!

Roger Stone = DISGUSTING SLIME
Linda, such a good point about how Trump's rhetoric and his clearly declining mental health is affecting us all not just in our safety as a nation, but just in our everyday health. He keeps a very large part of the country stressed out 24/7. And, I do think his mental health issues are spiraling down at a rapid rate. Something is very, very wrong with him. Yes, he is a nasty, corrupt man, but I really believe he is also a very mentally ill man. As Linda said, his family doesn't seem to care. Republicans in Congress don't seem to care. Completely aside from what he's doing to the nation that Congressional Republicans should be very concerned about, his family, if they have any love for him at all, should be trying to get him some help before it's too late. He's clearly in free fall, and anyone paying even minor attention can't help but see that.

Honestly I believe there's a karmic "bite you in the ass" for people like that.

“Well she’s dead and he’s president- who won that one?” She won because she doesn't have to put up with this idiocy any more.

DH had coffee with an 85+ year old friend yesterday. DH mentioned how his friend commented, "The whole world seems angry" in reference to JA & his rhetoric. I think DH friend hit the nail on the head. I think if JA makes me crabby, others must be just as crabby. I know even when one tries to watch less news, political shows, etc, this feeling that the world just isn't right since JA rode down that escalator just keeps hanging around.
