Good morning all. Woke up to rain and from what they are saying it will rain again tomorrow. I'm very happy that we hit the shops yesterday and got the bulk of our shopping done. Now all we need to do is hit the places right here in town. I'm sure I won't 'melt' in the parking lot Walking will be trickier, but I'll manage. LOL Judy, my last manicure I had blue sparkling gel polish GMTA. I don't blame you for having it done with the new addition in mind...how cute. Pam you and Karen't family remain in my prayers. Sue any plans for you and DH today? I shall CBL...wishing all a wonderful OP Monday!

Rainy days and Mondays always get me down. Here we are on one and the same, but we had a very nice weekend so we really cannot complain but of course, I may manage to find a way to squawk a bit since I cannot be too Pollyanna-ish! Not my nature. :-)
I went to bed by 10 last night and feel much better. I'm still keeping an eye towards my decluttering and seeing little things along the way that I haven't used in a long time to add to the stash for donations. Sue, I plan to go through my basement shelves which house a host of baking and cooking supplies I don't really use. Since getting rid of stuff is hard for me, I am starting with non-sentimental stuff. That's easier and in my mind, I tell myself if I later decide I really need it, I can buy a new one. But, I am sure I won't!! Stuff I am tossing now is all replaceable if really necessary but highly unlikely in any case. I play games with my mind, I guess. I say whatever works to move the process along! My mom and dad were organized and by no means, hoarders, but they left behind a lot of stuff they had not used in decades.
I packed my swim stuff in the event I get motivated to head to my water aerobics class tonight. I would like to start going. The rain and cold may deter me, but at least it's in my car. Problem is that it starts at 6:30 PM so I don't get home until about 8:30. It's a long day - 13 hours or so. But, if I have the energy, I will go with it.
Have a great Monday all. Ann, I am loving my sparkly blue nails! So fun.

Judy that IS a long day. Here's hoping you'll find the energy to git-r-done Happy de-cluttering As many times as I go through stuff, there is still stuff that I need to go through. I swear it multiplies LOL. Yes it's pretty nasty out there. I just saw where the rain is going to stop around noon-ish. Hopefully THEY are right! Take care and enjoy those pretty blue nails

Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
Happy Monday! DH and I tried to watch the CMA Awards Show last night and made it about half way through. By 9:30 I declared I was headed to bed, and he got up as well. I woke about 6:30 well rested and to a cool house. I had turned off the furnace yesterday and thought I turned the thermostat back on, but when I got up it felt cool in the house and found it was only 67 and the heat was not turned on! I had to LOL at myself. Actually 67 should be plenty warm enough when it isn't frosty cold outdoors, but we are creatures of habit it seems.
I don't think I told you gals, but I had an upset this weekend regarding a delivery. I had ordered vitamins through Amazon and they came as promised and no problems at all, but I ordered some NB walking shoes for DH from Joe's New Balance Outlet. I have ordered from them for years without mishap. This time, I got a text that they were delivered and a specific date (4/6) and time (12:23 pm) and where they were left (in a locker) but no package!! I called UPS (who shipped them) and they of course pointed the finger to USPS (who handled the actual delivery) and I could only get a recording there. I printed out the "proof of delivery" and put it in our mailbox with a big note "WE DID NOT RECEIVE THIS". I fretted about it over the weekend, but today DH texted me that he had my box and a note from our carrier about what happened (she put them in the wrong box on Saturday). Since they are with him I haven't seen the note or the shoes yet, but I'm disappointed because I planned the shoes to be a birthday gift for him so I wanted to grab the package before he saw it and that, of course, won't happen now. Guess I'll just go ahead and give him the shoes and buy him something else for his birthday (which isn't until June 1st).
On a brighter note, one of my vitamins was delivered by Amazon and the gal left it on the boot bench right inside our garage (which was open). When I checked the tracker page online, there was a photo of the package lying in my garage. How cool is that?? They will definitely get more of my business.
Ann & Judy ~ So sorry about your rain! It must be the one we had last evening but today has been beautiful with abundant sunshine and 70 dg temps. Hopefully you will get this tomorrow?!?
I stopped at Meijer and picked up a Rx for me and a liquid eye liner that I had a coupon for, and am now back home with time to relax a bit.
BBL. Make a great day!

Good morning all. Slept well once again And once again I got in all of my Garmin steps Sue so sorry for your package delivery mess up. That Always a PITA to deal with. They did a great job on the vitamin delivery. We have another problem. Our big freezer died and we have lots of food to 'give away'.....sure wish you gals lived close by. We'll go today to get a replacement. This is most definitely coming at a BAD time!!!! Pam, again...keep Karen and all involved in my prayers. Judy I hope it doesn't rain again today!!!!! I'm one of those people that would rather snow than rain! In moderation of course Take care, all

Hey all! Good news and bad news.... The best news is that I am down 3.6 lbs this week! Yahoo!!!! I am going to spend a bit of time thinking about what helped me lose this week so I can repeat it. I think the biggest factor is that I did not focus too much on food. Busy with projects, watching portions and not overthinking everything as I sometimes do. Giving myself a mental health break, I guess. I even had pizza last night--two slices. But I had a very light lunch and I also think those Premiere Protein Shakes are really helping, Sue. I have one for breakfast since I am not a big early morning eater. Bad news is that I went to pick up a prescription for DH - he has a terrible case of gout. Poor guy. Anyhow, when I got to CVS, they told me he no longer has insurance coverage!! Whaaaaaat? Turns out after an hour on the phone, we found out he was "involuntarily dis-enrolled" by some error at the company!! Someone hit the wrong button. We have very good coverage through his former employer - a very large utility company and he has never had to pay even a dime for prescriptions. Well, I paid the $12 last night to get his script - luckily it was not an expensive one - and now he has to get in touch and get re-upped. Good grief. Everything is contracted out here and there so there are about 3 places to contact. I wonder what some people do if it is all this hard for us. Know what I mean? It is misty, cold and foggy. Not exactly raining but a raw day in the high 40s. I feel badly for the students. This is their "spree" day - no classes, lots of food trucks, bands, bouncy houses, etc. The green is set up for a fun day for them every spring. Well, they are young and they probably won't care! Ann, sorry about your freezer. Ugh. Can you donate it to the local food bank or give it to neighbors? If it were a tad colder, you could store it outside. Sue, glad you did get your package but not without a fouled up situation. The vitamin delivery sounded great! Such technology. My friend has a child with a disabilty. Well, he is actually a 23 year old but needs light supervision. She has an app called Door Bell. Every time someone goes to her door, she gets an alert and a photo showing who is there. She has peace of mind because her son has a habit of just letting everyone in, and she can call him if need be. He's independent for the most part but has Autism and some things are just habits for him.

Judy yeah on your FANTASTIC weight loss!!!!! That is super and I'm so proud of you GRRR to the mess up at CVS with DH's Rx. Same thing happened to me when I was on my cancer meds. I get mine shipped to me via Caremark which is CVS. Somehow I got out of the system and when someone tried to enter me back in they messed up my dob. Luckily my doctor's nurse called and straightened it all out for me. I just had to call and give them some info by telephone. Glad that the Rx wasn't an expensive one. Yes it's a shame re: the freezer. Trying to remain positive here, though, as things could be worse

Ann, yes, we have Caremark, too through the utility. Wow, they really fouled things up, but it was not CVS. It was the utility. They just canceled him on 3/31 for some unknown reason by mistake and so little did we know, he has not had coverage for a week or more! Anyhow, they promised to expedite the correction and get him re-enrolled pronto. Let's see if they make it happen!
NSV for me today. I skipped the offer of a free lunch on the campus green - burgers, hot dogs and all kinds of other food that is more evil like fried dough and Ben and Jerry's ice cream, etc. I joined my pals with my own lunch. Flexing that willpower muscle because I want to continue with the PP - precious progress.
TTFN...

Oh Okay...with me it was someone at Caremark. Hopefully it will all work out smoothly and in DH's favor!!!!! Wow I am so proud of your skipping the free lunch You are on a roll. Keep on flexing that CAN DO/WILL DO muscle Well, I'm happy to announce that we are the 'proud parents' of a new upright freezer. It'll be delivered on Friday. We went to Home Depot in Greenfield and that gal there was extremely helpful. She even discounted the freezer the pick up fee as Carl is Military. I thought that was nice of her to do that. Well, now it's time for this chick to kick back and relax. My pea brain can't take anymore DRAMA...lol.
Today reminds me of "if you look for the good, the good will get better"
Until tomorrow

Good Evening, WW Friends ~
We have much cooler temps today but at least the sun is shining. We went outdoors at recess but the wind had kicked up and it had a bite to it, so we shortened our time out, which was fine with all of us.
I stopped at Kroger for a few things I could not find at Meijer on the way home and also bought a new Skinny Cow product which looks delicious, only to discover when I got home that it is 8 SP!! Oh well, still good for a treat - LF ice cream, pretzels, chocolate coating and caramel. All the things I love!!
We had a great time with DH's VBF last night. We got to his house before he got home, and the new dog mama was at the door wiggling like crazy because she needed to be let outside. So to say she was happy to see us would be an understatement. I went back indoors with her and she looked at me pathetically when she wanted back in her whelping crate, so I helped her. When her dad got home, he laughed and said "she can get in and out herself" and we all had a good chuckle. I think for those four beautiful puppies she deserves to be pampered a bit. Speaking of which, the pups are all gorgeous. She is the dog who got shot a couple of years ago and ended up losing a back leg, but it doesn't slow her down a bit, and she is the sweetest, best natured dog I ever met. She was so happy I bragged on her puppies and looked at each one; then my DH came in and did the same and she just gazed at him adoringly! We had a lovely evening and sat out on the patio around the fire pit until almost dark. I got out the bubble makers and played with the younger two Boxers as they love to chase them. Happy memories of past summers and promise of more to come this summer.
I unpacked all my capris today and also made up a stack to donate as they are out of style or don't fit right - and I am tired of hanging them and not wearing them and then repacking them ..... now everything in my closet is wearable. I bought 3 new pair - and ended up purging 8 pair for donation. I may look for another pair of good blue denim ones - preferably at The Loft.
Judy ~ CONGRATS on your WL! Pat yourself on the back. Sometimes it's just doing "the next right thing" over a period of time that will eventually result in an unexpected loss. Enjoy it!! Glad you caught the snafu on your DH's Rx coverage before it resulted in a BIG expense!! It's always something, isn't it??
Ann ~ So sorry to hear about your freezer. What did you end up doing with all the food in it?? Hopefully you didn't have to throw it away?? I remember when we had the big grid failure a few years ago (more, really) and my neighbors had a big cook-out where they grilled all the meat from their freezers before they "lost it". Then they put the cooked meat in coolers. Congrats on the new one and how nice that they discounted it for you.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue, great to read about the new pups! I would love to see them! where do you buy the Premiere Protein shakes? I believe that really helped me with weight loss last week. We are out if them now and I can’t remember where we got the case. I looked on line but they were very spendy at over $2 each shake.
Ill bbl.

Sue the story about the pups and mommy warmed my heart and put a smile on my face. Thank you for sharing Carl gave away a lot of the sausage that he makes. Then we cooked up the rest of it and once it's cooled down we'll freeze that in our refrigerator freezer. The turkey is still 'frozen solid' so no problem there. We had 3 corned beefs that I just put in the crock pot to cook overnight. We'll do the same with that. I 'think' I have some chicken breasts in there and chops......We did pick up 40 lbs of ice to help keep the freezer colder. I don't dare open the door and I can't seem to find the list of what was in there! Sheesh...of all times to misplace that. Yes we are happy that it will be delivered on Friday. Alls well that ends well Our rain has stopped. We took LuLa our for a walk and it was cold but dry...as soon as we were under the carport the sky opened up and it was really coming down. Rained like that for about an hour. Then the sun came out. If I hadn't gotten 'jammified' I would have gone for another walk...but after all the drama of today, I'm happy to be home. Now it's time to sit and read a bit. Judy I've never taken that drink before, but I've seen it at Walmart. Check there, as I'm sure they will have a good price on it. Sweet dreams.....

Judy ~ I buy Premier protein shakes at either Sam's Club or Costco. Do you have either one of those? Meijer used to carry them, but in a 4-pack at $7+ which is pricey. But recently Sam's Club had the 12 pack on sale for $12+ so much more affordable. That sale has ended now. Costco carries 18-pack cases. So I pick up a case or two whenever I find them on sale.

Thanks Ann! I found some on Amazon at a decent price and DH will buy more at BJs when they go on sale. 😊. Ann, did you just see snow? We saw it was snowing a little further north. It’s just raw and cold here.
I cannot go back to water aerobics for another week or so due to my eyebrows. Sheesh!
I did well all all day but had a cupcake tonight. A friend who used to work with me stopped by with cupcakes from a wonderful bakery - the Bean Counter, Ann! She had a coconut one for me and a chocolate for my dh. Well, if I am going to splurge a bit, at least it is well worth it and not junk! I had a very light veggie dinner with 0 pts.
Does anyone watch Jeopardy? They just had the smartest contestant I’ve ever seen! How can anyone know so much about so many topics?! He had the one day winning all time record today of about $140K. Wow! He’ll be back tomorrow! My DH does not like the show mainly because he hates the opening music! Lol it drives him crazy. BTW, he is still waiting for his insurance to get reactivated. He asked them what he’s supposed to do in the meantime. They told him “pay out of pocket and submit a claim later!” Some answer for a problem they created and over which he had no control. Well, hopefully he’ll be up and running soon.
Have a a great night all.
