Moving right along ...... I have pulled out my shorts bin and added to my donation pile. I have clothes that I've had so long, and pack and unpack every year .... WHAT?!? So I added four pair of denim shorts and four pair of twill bermudas - and finally sacked up a total of 8 pair of capris, 4 pair of jeans and 8 pair of shorts which are all ready to go to Grace Centers of Hope Thrift Store tomorrow. I feel good about having them there for ladies to wear who need them - and to have them out of my house!!
I think after we meet DH's VBF (and #1 son) for lunch, I will treat myself to the rest of the day off!

Hi all,
It’s a beautiful day here today! I have taken one nice walk with the dogs and may take one more soon. Visited with our nice neighbors a bit along the way. For some reason, we seem to have friendlier ones here at the Cape. Everyone is happy to be outdoors enjoying the sunshine! DH has been busy, busy. He is currently Up on the Roof... the song is playing in my head! He replaced the kitchen faucet yesterday due to a leak. He’s always working and I feel badly but he has to be busy as that is his nature. We had a nice dinner date out last night. He had shrimp scampi and I had a rack of bbq ribs (Sue, this is on you!) which was delish. I brought half home along with mashed potatoes and had them for lunch. DH finished his scampi at noon, too.
I also did more more weeding and purging of the drawers here. Like you, Sue, I have capris and shorts that I just look at year after year and don’t wear due to one thing or another whether it be the style, fit or texture. They will find new homes at the Salvation Army thrift shop. DH and I went to the LLBean outlet nearby after dinner last night and he picked up three nice shirts for work and I bought a couple pairs of new Smart Wool socks. They are more than half off there and I love that brand!
Pam, wow on the successful fundraising efforts and the Easy Rider fest. How fun but sorry about the thunderstorms interfering a bit. Thanks for the recipe, too. I’ll be making it soon! Glad you had FaceTime with the northerners! My little DGD and i FaceTimed twice yesterday. Once was to show me all the sparkly eggs she and my DD had colored for Easter and then again when she was home with the babysitter while her mom took little brother to see MonsterTrucks last night. She was recovering from a bit of fever and the flu so unable to go to see the trucks. However, she perked up when she and her sitter were off to watch the Troll movie on TV and make popcorn. Our DSIL had gone camping this weekend.
This afternooon I had an hour phone chat with my beloved 92 year old Aunt. Everytime we talk, I wind up feeling better about myself and life in general. She’s amazing with all her volunteerism ...food banks, soup kitchen, reading to the blind and more. We all adore her.
Ann, wowie zowie! You walked mikes yesterday!!!! That’s fantastic. Take the rest of the day off and sit pretty!!
Better run. Have a good evening! DH is off the roof...hard work for him.
