Good morning all. Yes Judy I did see snow. It's not sticking, but still...who the heck needs/wants it!!!!! Sheesh so sorry for the lame answer to DH's Rx problem. Perfect example of 'pointing a finger' and the person in the middle is the one to suffer. Praying that it all gets taken care of in a timely fashion!
Going to be another busy day of cooking and giving away food.
If I'm not back later....wishing AWF a great Wednesday!

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Hump Day!! We are 10 dg cooler than yesterday, so it's winter jacket weather again.
Judy ~ Looks like you and I were posting about the same time last evening. I DID answer your query about where I buy Premier Protein. I find chocolate and vanilla without problem, but the strawberry seems to have disappeared (?) but this time I bought a case of banana cream and it is quite good (not a very strong banana taste at all).
I ended up ordering a pair of capris on Kohl's last night and they are ready for pick-up. They are the same ones I bought in stone when I shopped, only blue (what looks like denim?). I will go right from school to get them today.
BBL. Make a great one!!

Sue great job on the capris. I still need to get some of mine out..but unfortunately all of that closet switching will take a back seat until we get the freezer cooking situation under control. I put 3 corned beefs in the crockpot last night to cook over night. Once cooled I'll put them in the small freezer. I have 2 pork roasts in the crockpot now.....then we'll move onto whatever else we can salvage. If I'm not back just consider me Betty Crocker and will return tomorrow

Sue, that is a really good price. After I buy a few, I will hold out for the sale! My friend from work who also is a WWer goes to Starbucks every Saturday for a plain espresso which she mixes in her chocolate Premiere Protein shake. She swears by how wonderful it is for 2 pts! I guess it's a big thing in her WW group. LOL
We don't have Sam's Club anymore sadly. We had one for years and then they closed it. But we have BJs which is a close second. Costco is in the area but not near us and closer to Boston.
I have to run to an appointment, but I will check in later on. Been a busy day!

I miss Sam's club also. Judy they did have a Costco om Gold Star Blvd but it didn't last long. Now it's Home Depot. I think it was originally built for Bradlees.
I'm still cooking. Just finished 3# meatballs. I'm exhausted and so isn't Carl.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
We woke to a covering of snow this morning. I suspect it is headed your way, Ann & Judy. Our predicted high is around 50, so we shall see. Then it gets colder for the weekend. (I am so over this!)
I picked up my new capris yesterday and they are perfect! I now have removed 8 pair from my closet and purchased 4 new ones, and everything fits! I was admiring it this morning and very pleased with my efforts indeed! I have several pairs of "skimmers" which hit right below my knee and I wear instead of shorts. The only shorts I still have are denim cut-offs for around the house.
DH was late getting home last night, and we had salad with Turkey 3-Bean Chili for supper which really hit the spot. Now the chili is gone until next year and we can move on. We have some shredded pork loin in the fridge that I may make into BBQ tonight and put on buns and I have the makings for a WW cole slaw which I can make when I get home from school. This morning was poached eggs breakfast and that will hold me until I get home.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Thanks for the 'heads up' on the weather, Sue. We usually DO follow in your footsteps. This time, however, I hope they are WRONG WRONG WRONG....like you, I'm SO over this!!!!! I never wear shorts. I prefer capris as they 'hide a lot' Not to mention they are comfy. I still haven't switched the closets and more than likely won't be doing that till May!!!!! Or perhaps for the 4h of July the way this weather is going. I'm all planned and tracked for today. Happy to announce that I'm down .7 from last week. It's s l o w l y going back in the right direction. I see my surgeon on the 24th for the 'finishing touches' and then hopefully I'll be one and done with him. Tomorrow our FREEZER will be delivered. I am exhausted from all the cooking. Today will be spent going through the refrigerator freezer to see if there is anything that needs tossing. I've already told Mr. Pack Rat to step away from me and the trash can LOL. Take care, all and wishing y'all a good day. Thinking of you, Pam Judy are you going to the Cape?

Ann, your posts have cracked me up! I am chuckling about telling Mr. Pack Rat to step away! I also am picturing you as Betty Crocker cooking your little head off...sheesh, that was SO much to do!!! I can't even imagine. We have an upright freezer at the Cape that we "activate" in the summertime, but at home we just have the two fridges. One in the basement and one in the kitchen. It's enough for me because I am not organized enough to store all that stuff and use it up efficiently. I am better off buying what I need for the week and using it. You have been a cooking machine with the crockpot doing double duty! :-) Your Pack Rat thing made me think of my DH. He is not really a pack rat because he doesn't accumulate a lot of stuff - unlike me - but, he is loathe to throw things away. He is also chiding me that we need to "pare" down. So when I do, I often find him digging through the bags to see what we should save and salvage! lol I give him grief for that.
Sue, your capris sound just perfect. I wish you were near me so that you could help me organize to the point that I can admire my wardrobe and know that everything fits. It's a dream I aim to sometime achieve. I am getting good about donating--or at least better at it. I just have to learn to leave the voids and not feel I have to fill them.
I am off to dinner with a dear friend tonight. I am awfully tired because my session at the hairdresser ran late last night. My appointment was not until almost 7 PM and then we "got to" chatting and had glasses of champagne with two other clients who are also friends to celebrate our hairdressers engagement! I got home at 10:30. LOL Whoever thought you could be a party animal at the hair salon? They are youngsters and tell me that I need to have my own talk show called "Just Judy" - ha ha. They crack me up. We have a lot of laughs and that's good for the soul and the hair!
I had better run...Have a pleasant night all! Judy

Hello to all! I so appreciate all the prayers and good thoughts you have sent over the past few days. It has been a hard week. I made it through Sunday night and seeing the company off Monday morning, then headed to town for the wake for my favorite patient who grew up here in my little village. Then, it was on to Baton Rouge to get my car serviced, which turned out to be a long wait, as they were running behind. When I finally got home, I notified my DSIS' VBF so she could come over and make copies of income and medical documents she needs to submit with her reapplication for her subsidized apartment. I finished in time to get to yoga class. My delayed reaction to my friend's death began to show up Monday evening and Tuesday. I fought tears all day as I went to bible study (since I missed on Sunday), sang with the choir for the funeral of a local man, who was also a hospice patient and did a hospice visit and some office work. I cried at the office and decided I needed to go home and be quiet. I called my supervisor and asked if she could see her patient this week and she could and plans to return to work next week. Wednesday, I baked 2 cakes for the weekend event and then headed to my friend's funeral. By then, I thought I couldn't possibly have any tears left, but I was wrong. I did manage to talk with her family at the wake. Her poor mom hugged me and asked how we could go on. "Together" was what I told her. "We will do it together, helping each other." Singing in the choir was really hard, but I wanted the music to be beautiful for her. We all made it through and then at the bereavement dinner, it happened. I fed my feelings. I ate stuff I would normally have passed by. I held it to 3 small portions at the dessert table, but still...Anyway, the funeral and visiting with her family seemed to give me some closure. The tears have ended for the most part, unless someone wants to talk about it. Then I find it hard, but getting better. Last night we had choir practice and I practiced my part (solo) for the Holy Saturday Vigil service. I think I shocked a few people and was glad I had been using an app on my phone to learn my part. The choir director said I "nailed it", so I am feeling less tense. This morning, I made icing for one Morganza cake, pralines with the leftover icing and then headed to church to sing for yet another funeral. I didn't know this lady, but her brother and sister-in-law sing in the choir and we wanted to be there for them. The dinner afterwards was pretty much a repeat of the day before and I ate way too much, then came home and ate pralines. I went to town to do some hospice work and meet with a new volunteer-in-training. I went by DD1's to drop off money for DGS to take on his class trip to NYC which begins Saturday. When I go home, I started dinner--chicken florentine from Holly Clegg's Trim & Terrific cookbook. I got it ready to go in the oven and then made another batch of icing for Morganza cake. (This batch came out better than the last one, which was too thin.) I popped the chicken in the oven just before DH got home and made rotini pasta to go with it. It turned out well, with a light, lemony wine sauce. To say I am tired is a gross understatement. I think I mentioned that DGS had the flu over the weekend. On Tuesday, DGD reported to DD that 12 people were out with the flu in her class and over 20 in her grade. By Wednesday, both DGDs were diagnosed with flu and by Wednesday night, DD1 had it. We are holding our breath that DH & I will get through the Easy Rider event tomorrow and Saturday without getting sick. With the 3 funerals this week, I have been around crowds of people with lots of handshaking, hugging and kissing, so I feel like I am doomed, lol. Ann - I feel for you with the freezer problem. We experience much the same after a hurricane-induced power outage. You cook and re-freeze as much as you can, but it's a LOT of work. Like Judy, I got a kick out of you putting Carl on notice to stay out of your way, lol. Sue - My Nebraska relatives are enduring a blizzard today, so you may have more snow coming your way. Hold onto those capris. You will eventually get to wear them. Judy - I have had WAY more than a cupcake the past couple of days, so I think you'll be fine. Congrats on the HUGE weight loss! Keep up the good work and don't let cupcakes derail you. Tomorrow and Saturday, we Morganzites will be entertaining 1000 or so Harley owners who are infatuated with the movie Easy Rider, filmed here 50 years ago. We will provide memorabilia, tshirts, patches, autographs from some of the local actors and lots of food. The weather forecast is not good, so we will see how it all comes out. Hopefully, we will make some money, not lose it. I'll be back when I can.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
TGIF!! We woke to rain this morning, but at least warmer temps. It was actually in the mid-50's when I got up this morning. I was checking the weather, because while changing our sheets I was thinking about also changing the blanket on our bed. I have been too warm a few times recently, and the quilted down-alternative-filled blanket seems to be too warm. I think I'll try a lighter one and see ...... We don't have any below freezing temps in the forecast, so we should be fine.
Pam ~ So good to hear from you!! You HAVE been busy, busy, busy. Sorry for your sadness, but tears are very healing. You cakes sound wonderful! I am glad I live far enough away to not be tempted to try them. Hope you do make some $$ from your event.
Judy ~ Sounds like such fun at your hair salon! I always go at lunch time so no festivities, other than my hairdresser/GF and I go out for lunch afterward. I can relate to the tiredness from a late night. I am so much more a creature of habit. Last night I drank iced tea for supper and consequently even at 10 o'clock I had trouble falling asleep. Nonetheless, I popped right up at 7 a.m. which I like.
Ann ~ Congrats on your new freezer! You have really been efficient in cooking and refreezing your foods. I take my hat off to you. I also had to LOL about your "pack rat". When I throw stuff away I typically do it when DH isn't home. He loves his collectibles, and do keep my hands off them, but we have purged a lot out of our basement nonetheless. I totally agree about shorts vs. capris.
My closet is looking much better. I went through my long pants and packed away a couple pair, plus got rid of a couple more, making more room. I fear I keep some things much longer than I need to. Now I think it discourages me from looking into wearing things I don't wear every day. Though I am still the same size, some of my things fit differently and/or the style isn't fashionable anymore. Right now I could reach in and anything I pick out would be appropriate to wear and I can't remember the last time it was like that.
I just got a text from one of my Head Start teachers, who was sent home sick yesterday and has tested positive for Influenza A. I left a message at my PCP's office to see if he wants to start me on Tamiflu. Hopefully I will hear back from them in a timely fashion.
My plans today are to dust & vacuum the whole house (which is overdue) and clean the bathroom and wash sheets and towels. That should be enough, then I'll shower and dress and read a bit. We have dinner with friends tonight which I am looking forward to very much.
BBL. Make a great day.

Well we are all 'back to normal'....Carl is now taking a nap and I'm going to organize again while he is not underfoot LOL.
I've already done laundry and vacuumed and we both walked LuLa. The book that I had been waiting for came in...and I just downloaded it to my kindle. It's Where The Crawdads Sing and was recommended to me by a few other posters here. I want to start reading it...just not sure how far I'll get before the 'land of nod' takes over.
Sue enjoy your dinner out with your friends.
Waving...and talk tomorrow.
