DebDoesWW How are you holding up in Houston? Ours hit last night but there is a lull in the action until later.Be glad you have cats and not a big dog scared of wind and thunder. Are you in the area that got 10 inches yesterday? Prayers and check in when you can.

borntexan , it is crazy here water is everywhere along roadsides. It needs a few days to dry out. Right below me is the town you are seeing all over the news with the street flooding. Problem is when they start backing up then our rivers start backing up. :/ Why they haven't come in and just dredged the rivers is completely and totally beyond me, there is no excuse for this stupidity. Today is last day of infusion so I have to go out because the port is still in my arm 🙄 it is supposed to start back up this afternoon so I should make it back in time and then not going out again until this is all over. Sheesh. linda72 How bad is it there? DotRen ha! Labs LOVE water.

I'm in. Morning all!
You guys have my sympathy - overnight boomers/buckets of rain here too. We just can't seem to get meaningful dry-out time before the next batch of storms.
I have my monthly spine doc appt. and will start another round of Celebrex on top of the other meds. We're still hoping to get the deck finished and flower containers done in time for Mother's Day. Fingers crossed.
Have a good day everyone!

DebDoesWW, although we seemed to have rain all day yesterday, we "only" ended up with 1.5". I saw that Sugar Land and Kingwood got over 10" so many other areas got slammed. I am more concerned about the upcoming rains that will be arriving Thursday, Friday and Saturday so I hope the weather guessers are wrong about that. We did have a lightning strike very close last night that knocked out power to 20 homes in our subdivision but no one reported any other damage. Hope you did okay too!

doordie50 hope you get your projects done in time, good luck at spine doc! linda72 I hope they are wrong too, just ugh. This afternoons’ forecast of “possible hail, tornadoes, flooding, blah blah, blah” isn’t too wonderful either 🙄 Oh no lmenglish I hope Lucy feels better soon, poor baby. Love the update zazzles, I cannot believe how spotless the workspace is.

Good morning!
To all those in the way of bad weather, wishing you safety and NO DAMAGE!!! I have family in Texas and right now they are planning on relocating to another part of the country. I do believe they have had enough. Every part of the country has its issues but Texas seems to be hit especially often and especially hard. Personally, the tornadoes are one thing I couldn't live with. Every time I go there I wonder why it isn't a thing that all houses have storm shelters---so scary!
Plan today is to continue babying the right knee but keep going. Went to a garden center and got two beautiful geranium baskets for the front porch. Also got some vinca vine to add to the hanging baskets, love the trailing effect. My Mother's Day gift to myself.
DH is off getting a car recall issue taken care of. No big deal, just a software thing, and then we'll get back to working on the deck lattice, I guess. Or maybe not. The weather may hold out today so I think we should make the best of it as there is more rain in the forecast in the next few days.
Wishing all a safe, dry day!

fullmahina I sympathize with you on the knee.I'm still waiting Medicare approval for my gel injections.I was supposed to get a call first thing this morning on an update but the lady didn't get in until 8:30 so she probably has no answers yet.My thigh above my worst knee is also sore and hurting. linda72 and DebDoesWW We didn't get any rain during the day yesterday but last night we had the thunder, lightning, wind and rain.My dog is not a lab unfortunately. We got our rain after 6:00 last night and I guess the winds kept most of the rain out of the gauge since we just got 1.25" but it can go away now. DotRen I wish Scooter was a lab.She doesn't like loud noises of any kind, wind and if she goes out in the rain believe me it's an emergency.LOL. More coffee please.

We had a golden that would panic so badly during storms that he would tear up the plasterboard and door jamb to get out of a room. He did 12 doorways
Lucy continues to reek havoc. Yesterday she got my purse that had been on the desk the entire week that she had lived with us. This morning she ate a cookbook. She did have it I and is in needs.
DGS had his root canal this am at the pediatric endodontist. They gave him laughing gas and he was giggly. Hoping I can play golf.
Tonight we are having dinner with our old tennis official friends.

Good morning. I’m in. It is gray here this morning but supposed to clear and warm up. Some rain is coming tomorrow, I think, and then for the weekend. Probably won’t be much here but enough to cool things off. Today the construction crew will get the plumbing and venting work done. Tomorrow will be demolition of the bathroom and the remaining floors that are being replaced. I will be heading out later for a tax meeting and lunch with my accountant. I hope all the rain folks are experiencing doesn’t cause any damage. DebDoesWW, when dredging doesn’t occur here it is because of lawsuits brought by environmental groups.

We had a golden that would panic so badly during storms that he would tear up the plasterboard and door jamb to get out of a room. He did 12 doorways My mother had one like that. During firecracker season he disassembled an entire sofa one day when he was left alone at home. Another year he ate through plywood covering a doorway between the back and front of the garage, then managed to get up onto overhead shelves in the front of the garage and push everything stored there off onto the floor. My father was pi$$ed big time. I hope you’re able to get this dog to settle down.

I'm in. More rain than expected last night. Looking at a dreary stretch of weather except for possibly Saturday but nothing like Texas and Oklahoma have been getting.
