CJ you can send some of your heat here. Ive never watched CAll the Midwife but I've seen on the crochet groups that there are blankets called call the midwife. They must be mentioned on the show. Are you enjoying your strawberries and rhubarb? I forget already what else I was going to say. Oh yes, the only place I've been outside this country and Canada is Germany and I don't expect to go anymore either.Yes she did use some pretty colors. For my headband I used three colors, two greens and white and it looks beautiful too. I think many, many color combos would look great in this patterns. My headband/earwarmer has just one row of the loops. I'm already thinking of how to make it even narrower with less dc's on each side of the loop row.

CJ- thanks for the heads up on the Aerial Scotland program. Just set my DVR to finish recording it!!! I agree, snow would be better than this. Hot weather stinks and this feels too soon to be hoping for air conditioning. Were you able to stay comfortable??
Ruth, I really like that baby afghan - actually have made something sort of similar, and I think the look of braiding over the top of the afghan is lovely. Thanks for sharing.
We went to an outdoors show today. It was hot (yuck) but still a fun day. Tomorrow is Monday. Time flies....I did get to look at my quilting magazine a bit. My friend agrees I should buy the kit for the baby afghan. So very lovely.
Have a great night all G
