I do hope everyone gets a good rest tonight. Seems that as we get older sleep is no longer as easy or restful as it was when we were younger.
Ginny, happy birthday to your dd. I hope she had a good one.We used to like going to those little street fairs. They don't have those here. I do hope you can work on your quilt blocks tomorrow.
Sue I hope the toe heals fast. I've never had any work done on my feet but I'm sure it's painful.
CJ, I'm going to look up those quilts. I think I remember seeing one on a link you once posted but I have to refresh my memory.

Got my crafting in today in case I do not get tp really play with fabric. Just watched the MSQ tutorial on the spy jar quilt, which is what I figure CJ will be making or something like that. What an adorable concept!! CJ- did you buy the fabric for this (a layer cake or charm pack) or have you been collecting fabrics for this Such a cute idea!
Sitting out on the deck listening to the morning birds on the feeder and in the area.
Hope everyone slept well. Phyl has not checked in yet this weekend- hope she is having a good weekend!! BBL Ginny

I'm awake now, but I'm going back to sleep for a while longer. When I let out the dogs, I could hear the robins and a pair of Sandhill cranes who have a nest by the creek. It's raining a little bit.

Hello Crafters - Hope you are enjoying your day Phyl - When it rains, it pours Hope you enjoy all the parties. I'm sure there will be great company and wonderful food. Sue - Hope you were able to go back and get some more sleep. I love to watch and listen to the birds in my yard. Ginny - I'm glad you were able to get some crafting in. The fruit and vegetable fabrics I have were sold in a fat quarter pack - one fruits, one vegetables. I've had them for several years, just trying to decide what I wanted to do with them. They look kind of like some of these: www.etsy.com/listing/643954471/farmer-johns-garden-party-fq-bundle-20?ref=pla_similar_listing_top-1&frs=1Ruth - If you search for "canning jar" or "fruit and vegetable jar" quilts, you'll probably see lots of images. Meg and Betty - Hope you are doing well and getting in some crafting. I have some fun links to share with you, with plenty of really pretty quilts to look at. First is this website for quilts that were auctioned for a Mennonite Relief Sale: nhmrs.com/quilt-catalogueThere are 7 pages of quilts and if you click on the quilt it will show a larger picture with details of the quilt. I need to try to see how much money they made, there are some beautiful quilts shown. I was surprised to see that there were many that used a poly-cotton fabric for the actual quilt top, that was interesting. My next little project is a small quilt kit that I've had for a few years. They sell them in a cute little plastic jar and all the pieces are already cut and labeled. The kit includes the fabric for the top, batting and the backing and border fabric. Here are a few pictures: www.ucanquilt.com/store/p60/Mint-ish_Jelly_Star_Table_Topper.htmlwww.ucanquilt.com/store/p67/Jelly_Star_Table_Toppers.html If you click on the second pictures on the link above, you an see the cute jars they put the kit in. Check around their website to see some pretty quilts and kits. It's going to be hot here today, in the 90s, so I already have my AC on to keep it cool. I'll be pulling the curtains and blinds soon too, to keep out the heat. I try to keep them open for as much of the day as possible, since it's really gloomy just sitting in a dark room Take care everyone!

CJ, I really love those jelly star table toppings!!! They're amazing. And I love the jars they come in. Makes me want to try quilting.
It's not hot here. It was supposed to get to 72 but I don't think it will make it that high. And on Tues the high will be only 43.Spring is sure slow getting here this year...at least to stay.
Meant to mention I did get my smart phone. At first I just used it for internet and downloaded the app for the fitbit and the fitbit synched with it immediately. Then on Friday I couldn't find my old flip phone so I was forced to activate the smart phone and amazingly that took only seconds and worked great. I'm thankful.I don't like going anywhere without a phone for emergency. You really can't find many pay phones anymore to use to call for help.

Well it did get to at least 75 today after all but sure didn't feel like it to me. I did get three more water balloons made...doesn't take long. And I started a baby blanket for dgd. I had started one but it was in blue and white and since she found she's having another girl I thought I'd better make a different color. It's a granny rectangle and is so easy but boring and hypnotic. Now you all may wonder why I don't just finish one of the ones I already started and I do wonder that myself esp since this will be a fall baby and will actually need a warmer blanket. This one is more decorative than functional. I need to get my revised list together and see what needs to be done before good weather and dreaded lawn care starts as well as other summer activities I may have to participate in
