Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there and those of you who love them! We woke to yet another grey, dreary day with temps in the mid-50's this morning and a predicted high of only low 60's. I think Spring/Summer decided to skip Michigan altogether this year.
Pam ~ I am also envious of your warm weather! Our "average" temp for this time of year is high of 79 and low of 60 (which to my mind is durn near perfect!) but we aren't seeing anything close to that. Glad you are enjoying your new toy. Also good news that you woke refreshed - that is the very best!! Hope you get the rest of your Kohl's order in a timely fashion.
Ann ~ So sorry you had to miss your movie but hopefully you will get to make it up. It really is worth it! Hope you get to enjoy your walking today. Ours is iffy since it is going to rain off and on - plus we are going out for lunch (to see DH's VBF) and also for supper with the whole family (at Outback Steakhouse).
Judy ~ Enjoy your day!! Hope you have fun plans.
Yesterday I called DH to see if he'd like to come home for lunch and he took me up on it. He had brought home two slices of Stromboli from Red Devil so I reheated them and tossed side salads for both of us and we had a very nice lunch together before he went back out to complete his day. I am pleased that he is not working too hard, but still keeping himself busy (as he doesn't 'do nothing' well). He was back home by mid-afternoon so we had plenty of time together.
We took advantage of the opportunity to walk right before supper yesterday and again made two laps around the complex. It is getting easier and easier, and we feel it is benefiting us both. We went to bed early again last night and I am actually feeling like I'm getting caught up with myself. It is hard to believe I just brought DH home from the hospital three weeks ago! On one hand it seems like yesterday and on the other it seems like a distant memory. He will see the cardiologist on Wednesday.
We split an orange for breakfast and had oatmeal with (the last of the) blueberries in it, so we are officially out of fruit except for one apple (which will go in his lunch tomorrow) and some strawberries. Tonight I plan to have my (favorite) Steakhouse Salad at the Outback then tomorrow I will spend some quality time with George (Foreman) because I am out of grilled meats in the freezer and I count on them for DH's lunches.
BBL. Make a great day!!
