Has anyone heard about any new shows coming up?
Usually we are getting bombarded on TV this time of year with up and coming new shows.
This year has been *crickets*
Anything piqued your curiosity?

I just learned that Rob Lowe will be starring in a spin off show situated in Austin, Texas. It's called 9-1-1: Lone Star (Fox)I really like Rob Lowe so I'll tune in and check it out.
I also like Patricia Heaton so I'll look at her new show: Carol's Second Act (CBS).
Bluff City (NBC) sounds interesting: Jimmie Smits at a law firm. (not very original, hasn't he played lawyers or cops before)
Tommy (CBS) Edie Falco is back as a cop in L.A. I like her a lot.
I also liked Walton Goggins from Justified so I'll tune in once to see Unicorn (CBS) but I don't think it'll be good.
Maybes: Prodigal Son (Fox) and Perfect Harmony (NBC)
And the returning shows I watch: The Voice, Survivor, This is Us, Blue Bloods.
ETA: I actually googled "New Fall Shows 2019" to learn about most of these. I agree that there hasn't been much advertising yet on TV.

I liked Rob Lowe, until he made a rude comments about Prince William losing his hair. I thought that was crass and very unnecessary.
He may have been joking, but so much has been said over the years about Lowe's vanity, it was just, to me, a real let down.

The only new show I have on my radar, and it's starting tonight is on SHOWTIME, called "On Becoming a God in Central Florida". It stars Kirsten Dunst and also has Alexander Skarsgard.

Thanks for this thread. Because tv is so dismal in the summer I just watch Netflix and Prime so I have missed what will be new other than On Becoming a God in Central Florida. I have read two excellent reviews about it but do not get Showtime.

I also loved the show with Parker Stevenson, Shaun Cassidy, and Pamela Sue Martin (Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew) Me, too. Since I no longer have Cable TV, I am missing the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. Not enough, of course, to spend $100+ extra for the two or three channels I would watch. |

zazzles that is what I have on right now (and most of the time). I think they are coming out with a Hallmark streaming channel. Not sure how much it is or what options has though, just thought I would mention it.

I find it interesting that so many of the channels available on cable aren’t available for streaming outside of a cable subscription. Oddly there are a number of them that have some kind of streaming—but you have to subscribe to a cable package and validate your account login before you can stream. I **may** consider going back to an internet/tv package if only to boost my internet speed; Xfinity has configured things so that the higher internet speeds can only be obtained if you take an internet/tv package in the higher cost tiers…no way to get 250 Mbps or above all by itself. Another E-V-I-L, manipulative corporation. |

I also loved Nancy Drew books. Sounds like the TV show is going to be a little updated, similar to Riverdale. I will check it. I'm also interested in On Becoming a God in Central Florida. Very rude of Robe Lowe! Nancy Drew |

That was probably my first "series" for books when I was a kid ❤️ I also loved the show with Parker Stevenson, Shaun Cassidy, and Pamela Sue Martin (Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew) I still watch Little house on the prairie when I run across it lol  Sumptown looks interesting; Evil; Prodigal son, might give that a show or 2 and see since Tom Payne (Jesus from the walking dead) is worth looking at anyway lol; Batwoman, maybe, I've been pretty impressed with the CW channels shows lol; Carol's Second Act; All Rise looks like an updated Judging Amy, which I loved; neXt looks like a possible sci-fi interesting one; Lincoln is based on the book series/movie The Bone Collector; Emergence - maybe; |
