Good morning all. Anther week in October is upon us I slept well and for that I'm once again grateful. I have to go for a bone density test at our local hospital tomorrow. Going to call them today to find out just where I need to go as they are revamping the entire hospital. Going to be gloomy and raining on and off today or so they say. Not sure what's on the agenda. Will pop in later. Wishing all an OP day.

Good morning!
I slept 9 hours after all the walking, fresh air and sunshine at the harvest festival yesterday afternoon. A good time was had by all. Madison and DH carved a pumpkin when we got home and then we had a lovely pork roast dinner. We all laughed as Leah decided that green beans were the best food ever and ate most of her dad’s serving as well as her own.
This morning we are headed to Dearborn to tour the Ford factory and have lunch. Dinner will be at the inlaws house. They are wonderful friends to have. DD and DSIL are off to work and Leah to daycare. Madison will spend the day with us.
Have a great day!

Hi all,
Good to read posts and catch up.
Sue, your poor DH sounds stressed and it’s understandable that he’d forget about gas. You do so much to ease his worries just by being YOU! Your new sheets and comforter sound cozy. I do love Cuddle Duds so I imagine their sheets are great, too.
Ann, even in our suburbia here, I have seen many deer, foxes, otters and those nasty fisher cats. We’ve had bear sightings around, too! There was even a moose in Worcester last week! Yikes – I feel badly because we have encroached so much on their territories. The poor things have nowhere to go.
Pam, what fun you are having in MI! I love all the fall activities and festivals and orchards and pumpkins, etc., etc. People do it up “big time” around here for fall with so many colorful mums, pumpkins, scarecrows, etc. It’s really pretty. It is one of my favorite seasons! The kids sound adorable. I, too, love a roast pork dinner. I bought a pork tenderloin yesterday that I’ll have with homemade applesauce. Yum. You have a wonderful family!!
Speaking of cooking, other than resting this weekend, I did some shopping and made two recipes from the new WW cookbook “Cooking Up Comfort.” I made a black bean soup – easy and delicious! And I made the eggplant Parmesan which was great, too. We are set for a few nights. Now that the steroids are out of my system I hope I can shed a lb or two.
Have a good day, all!

Judy great job on the cooking I love black bean soup as well as eggplant parm. I agree...we really ARE into critter territory! Sad but true. I've decided to listen to my body and take a full retirement day. Going to unplug and just be. Take care, all!

Hi Ann,
So sorry about your California friend. Very sad. I saw you posted on last week's thread which I was also about to do since it popped up to the top of the list when I opened the boards.
I'm glad you liked the book. It was a quick read and fun.
Rainy today. I am still very tired. My energy is not coming back as I had hoped but I'll catch up eventually. Ugh. I could nap already and it is only 10:30 AM! I know I don't bounce back from an illness as fast as I did years ago, but this is ridiculous.
I'll bbl. Have a great day all!

LOL Judy....yes I did post on last week's thread. Oh well...these eyes ain't what they used to be for sure Thanks for understanding. We have sunny skies here. A little on the cool side, but still nice. Going to warm up as the day goes on. Yesterday was a complete wash out. I never went out of the house! I did enjoy the book. It made me sad at the end re: the lung cancer! So sorry that your energy is not coming back quickly enough. I also find that to happen with me as well. I'm still in a bit of discomfort from my last surgery. Perhaps that's just something that I need to deal with. Enough already with the surgeries!!!!! Thanks for listening to the vent. Some days are better than others. Need to get a move on to have the bone density test done. Haven't had one in a LONG time. Just wasn't on my list of priorities.....and my other PCP never pushed it! After that will stop at Walmart and Ocean State to pick up a few things, then back home again. Hopefully I'll have the energy to take a hood walk. It felt good to get out earlier and walk with Carl and LuLa. Take care, all.... Thanks for the mention of Reenie's DH Chuck. My heart goes out to all of them. One good thing is that she has her family around her...Her daughter SIL and their 5 children and her son and his 3 children. That brings me comfort knowing that she is being well looked after.

Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
Happy Tuesday! I have been peeking in to read but didn't have time to post. Yesterday I grocery shopped on the way home from school and by the time I put everything away, it was time to start supper. Then a bit of TV, but my DH was over-tired and went to bed at 8 o'clock - then I made it another half hour and followed him at 8:30. We slept until almost 7 this morning!!
I ordered a pair of Skechers "Take A Walk" in taupe and they arrived today. They feel wonderful! I wear Skechers for work and needed a new pair. These are in a color I didn't already have, so it's a great fit! They have laces, but don't tie - instead the laces are knotted above the top hole. Very cute!
I bought some 4 oz ground beef 80/20 patties yesterday and have four out to grill to put in the upstairs freezer for DH's lunches once in a while. The other four are going in the deep freeze for later. He only eats one about once a week, so they last a while. I thawed out a sirloin steak to grill tonight and set out our leftover pasta from the other night, and I will toss a salad on the side. That's tonight's supper. Yesterday I brought home a rotisserie chicken from Meijer for supper. We paired it with Noodle-Roni and green beans. It seemed like the quickest, easiest way to get us fed after I shopped and put everything away.
Judy ~ I know what you mean about energy not returning as quickly as we would like. I have struggled with that as well. I finally gave up and just get extra rest. We are really enjoying the Cuddle Duds flannel sheets! So much that I'd like to stay in them <LOL>
Ann ~ I had my bone density test a long time ago it seems, but I'll check with my PCP when I go for my PE next month. I did have my mammogram already this year and he's happy about that. Hope you're feeling better!!
Pam ~ I am sure you are enjoying your visit to Michigan. Sounds like you had plenty of fun things lined up. I have taken the Ford tour and thought it was great!
Time for me to watch the early news and then start my grilling. Last weekend DH put away all the outdoor furniture so that's done. He left up my wind chimes as I enjoy hearing them still. We haven't turned on our furnace yet - we use our electric fireplace in the evenings and then preheat the bed with the electric blanket, so we're fine for now. I am in no hurry to start with the furnace until I have to.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue I keep our windchimes up year round in our screen room. Love the sound.
Went for 2 long hood walks. Weather is awesome.
Time to relax.

Hello friends! We took a trip to the aquariam today, then ran errands at the grocery store, Long’s Orchard, gassed the car and then packed up while DGKs had rest time. I cooked a chicken & sausage gumbo for dinner, which we had with rice, salad and garlic bread. Now kiddos and DH are sleeping and I will turn in soon. I dread the long dive home, but we have a John Grisham book to ease the monotony.

Good morning all. Very grateful that once again I slept like a rock. Today will go for my mani/pedi and miss LuLa goes for her shot later in the afternoon. Once back, Carl and I will just enjoy the rest of the day here. Having pork chops with roasted potato and french green beans for supper. Should be good and tasty.
I spoke with Reenie last night and she sounded a bit upbeat. I'm so happy for her that she is surrounded by her loving family and grand kids. That makes a huge difference.
Will pop in later. Wishing all a wonderful OP day!
