Hi!
I woke with a headache in the wee morning hours. Sometimes, my sleep mask gets positioned too tight and once I take it off, the headache goes away. So I took it off, went to the bathroom, got a drink of water and came back to bed. An hour later, it was worse, so back to the bathroom for aspirin and more water. By the time I got back to sleep, the alarm went off. I consoled myself that I could nap later, but it wasn't meant to be.
After church and breakfast (turkey sausage, scrambled eggs and a light English muffin) I checked in for my Tuesday doctor appointment on-line and started reviewing the material for bible study. I put that on pause to go with DH to DD1's house for a visit and to drop off the Honey Crisp apples and apple cider we brought home from MI. We also picked up a few groceries. After lunch (1/2 turkey sandwich, baby carrots and 1/2 large, delicious, juicy, Honey Crisp apple), I completed my prep for bible study and headed over about 3:00 so that I could watch the video from last week. I ended up turning up the volume and listening while I walked the halls in the church education building. I didn't get all my steps in, but it was better than nothing.
After bible study, I had a nice long talk with my sister. She told me how happy they were to find out that what had appeared to be a cancer in her DH's colon was only a "fried" spot from past radiation therapy. No cancer!!! Prayers answered. Then I face-timed DD3 and the kids and little Leah reported using the potty and said she's a big girl now. We'll see if it sticks!
I don't think I mentioned that DH tripped and fell in the garden Friday morning. He was cutting down the okra with a machete and had the presence of mind to fling it away as he went down. He landed hard, facedown on his other arm and bruised his ribs. Could have been much worse! He has spent most of his time since then taking it easy. In spite of this, he cooked a delicious eggplant lasagna for dinner. I am so lucky he enjoys cooking! Now, I'm ready to get jammified and read a while. Since I didn't get my nap in, an early bedtime is in my future.
Judy - I hope you enjoyed your fine dining and made it home safely.
Ann - Good job passing on the ice cream. The brownie sounded delicious.
Sue - Waving! I know you had a busy day.
