Affirmation: Saving points/money decreases stress later
Mind: Skeptical
Body: Satisfied
Spirit: Seeks & Searches
Gratitude: Seasons
Nothing to share...had a late visit to the thread today. Not sure where the day went but it is gone and darkness has fallen. I am snuggled on the couch and will start reading soon.
MICHELLE: How many games do you have on your list that you play with BC? I thought the word refulgent...looked it up to make sure it would work...then went ahead and put it in for yesterday. Not one I use on a daily basis, though! I did make some pumpkin custard-like stuff in the microwave. Used the recipe on the pumpkin can and cooked it and am making it last awhile...a little bit has a LOT of points even without the crust!

Affirmation: I have a new life theory. Mind: Purpose filled Body: Walking, Yoga and another OP day Spirit: Peaceful Gratitude: The internet
I spent most of the day working on my closet reorganization converting from hanging to folding using the shelving I put in there. This actually is lots better than I expected. I had to fold most things using some individual plastic items that help to get them folded correctly then do them up with the ribbon supplied on each one. It's more simple than it sounds and it put an end to the problem of wrinkles etc due to poor folding technique. Best of all everything is in a designated space so the closet will not become a disorganized jumble again. I got this idea from watching a program based on the book "The Magic of Tidying Up".
Cathy: There are about 16 variations on the basic ball game as for instance: Mail Dog and Certified Mail Dog. For mail dog Buttercup drops the ball through the doggie door and then runs out into the center of the yard and waits for me to get it, open the slider, and throw it to her. Certified Mail Dog came about when I failed to properly play the original game according to her. For CMD, she drops the ball through the doggie door but then waits with her nose poking in to make sure I am paying attention and then when she sees me coming she runs out into the yard. Life is good!

Affirmation: Tackling problems when they are small is wise
Mind: Taken with new ideas/Teachable
Body: Tough
Spirit: Talented/Tremendous
Gratitude: Tremendous...so many things to be THANKFUL for
Another day that flew though we did little. I get my covid booster tomorrow and plan to read the book for Tuesdday tonight in case I have a reaction and don't feel like reading tomorrow. Want the review ready to post on Tuesday if not before...maybe tomorrow. Talked to both children and grandchildren.
MICHELLE: You made me laugh....certified mail dog, indeed...you slacker, you! I bet your closet looks NICE! Mine is getting thin of clothes as I have gotten thin and the clothes don't fit! I will go through them again before getting rid of them BUT I am seeing what I do wear and will wear and what holes need to be filled. I did reorganize and fold things and think it is better (scarves especially) after someone mentioned or I saw a KonMari(sp) youtube video (or many)

Affirmation: I make the most of each day. Mind: Meandering aimfully rather than aimlessly Body: Walking, Yoga and another OP day Spirit: Connected Gratitude: The gift of patience
The weather was spring like today so it was wonderful to go outside. I went through my pants to determine what needed to be done and started working on them. Also played with the dogs, took them for their run, and in general had a relaxing pleasant day.
Cathy: I hope the Covid booster goes well. I think KonMari is the author of The Magic of Tidying up. It seems to me that she has a point about folding. Being able to keep things organized in the clothing sector can be daunting for me but now it seems to just stay in order. However, the folding is rather time consuming in comparison to the hanging method. I am having decluttering/organizing fun working on this.

Affirmation: Unified goals lead to success
Mind: Useful
Body: Unique
Spirit: Uplifting
Gratitude: Umami flavors
Talked to family this weekend and all are doing well. I have my booster at 2:20 so need to shower, find an outfit that is easy to bare my arm in, etc. I will write the review for the book I read last night and then get on with whatever needs to be done.
MICHELLE: I am working in my closet, too. I need to get down another suitcase, go through what I have in the too-big/get rid of pile giving things a second look and then add to the pile. I want to see if there is ANYTHING that I should alter or not. I was going to toss everything that was the wrong color or too big BUT it might be worth a second look since I have no idea when I will be able to shop again in the USA... Have fun in your closet!

Affirmation: I am guided by my new life theory Mind: Stress free Body: Walking, Yoga and another OP day Spirit: Centered Gratitude: This life
Busy day for me trying to establish order in my Universe. Yoga tonight with my husband as usual. We are watching a football game night after night since we just watch it (kind of) when we are doing Yoga. Tonight we got all caught up in the game. This doesn't sound awfully Spiritual and I guess it's not and I really don't care because I plug away day after day because something interesting is included in this ritual. Often Clair wants to watch the DOGTV channel which is actually very relaxing so we switch over when she requests a channel change.
Cathy: I made more progress today going through some clothes that are in another closet. I also rearranged some items to make the contents more accessible. One thing I am enjoying is that I notice things about my tops etc when I am folding that I had not noticed before such as the intricate patterns on things.

Affirmation: Victory comes to those who persevere
Mind: Voracious (better my mind than my body ) Body: Valued
Spirit: Valiant
Gratitude: Vegetables that are bountiful year round in Lebanon
We went out to shop today. Went to three shops. Hubby found underwear to try at two shops and I found an Anne Klein red longer jersey lightweight jacket/top/sweater without buttons that I think will go nicely over leggings or some of my other jersey pants and dresses. Will see later. We also had pizza out but my husband was washing his hands with sanitizer every five seconds...people were not wearing masks, and the food wasn't as tasty as what we make at home. It was nice to be out, though.
MICHELLE: I am thinking about my closet. Many things are NOT my color or style so am moving them to the other side of the closet on hangers to decide later if they are worth dying, altering, whatever. Today I am wearing colors that are not my best but are fun for the holidays and that is nice. I love that you speak "dog" and know what they are asking for/telling you so you can cater to their needs

Affirmation: I am guided by my new life theory Mind: Composed Body: Walking, Yoga and another OP day Spirit: Happy Gratitude: My pets. They make me laugh everyday.
My affirmation is working great! I just love it when an affirmation is life changing. Such as: "Without disciple there is no life" which has changed me and my behavior and is still active in my life. Hooray!!! Today I worked organizing/decluttering the area by my computer. This is the area where I deal with emails and other administrative items. I have another complete room where I do my accounting work. So sometimes I am an accountant and other times an administrator. Also I did try on a couple of outfits and am working on coordinating now which is such fun and hopefully tonight I can do some hand work.
Cathy, I can't believe you are almost at the end of the alphabet. I really enjoy reading these! The Ann Klein sounds like the perfect choice for mix and match. Did you read Seventeen magazine? My mother and I traveled to San Francisco to buy my school clothes since there were very few shops in Reno back then. Such incredibly fond memories.

Affirmation: Wonders exist in the world - be sure to see one daily
Mind: Wicked Good
Body: Wants good food
Spirit: Wise
Gratitude: Water (enough for our needs and more - at least most of the time)
It is gray, windy and a bit rainy. We are tucked in warm and cozy at home. I am staying in my pajamas today, I think. I might take photos of the new red cardigan with a few other items without actually trying them on since the weather is not conducive.
MICHELLE: I *did* read Seventeen and always wanted to model in it or look like the models. Mom and I (and my little sister) went to San Francisco to shop and it is a wonderful memory for me, too. Mom also took me to shops in Des Moines, Iowa when I was younger and would buy three skirts and some tops with a sweater or two for the school year. Shopping was an outing...sometimes weekly...and my poor brother was dragged along with us. I guess it made him more tolerant. It is fun to do the alphabet affirmations...makes me think outside the box!
I love that you have a different work station for each of the jobs you do! How fun! AND how nice that your affirmation is working, your closet goals are being accomplished and there is so much positive in your life!

Affirmation: I am guided by my new life theory Mind: Determined and Calm Body: Walking, Yoga and another OP day Spirit: Part of Universal Spirit Gratitude: Laughter
Today was a shopping day for me. We are all masked up but the atmosphere is just so much more pleasant than when this all started.
Cathy: I heard the song "Junk Food Junkie" today on the radio. I know i haven't heard in in at least 30 years. It made me laugh and is diametrically opposed to your concept of "Wants good food". However, I lived that closet life for many years and I am glad that I too want good food now!

Affirmation: My new life theory is all encompassing Mind: Strategic and committed Body: Walking, Yoga and another OP day Spirit: Free Gratitude: The gift of life
I spent the day finishing up small projects that I managed to get mostly but not completely done. These seem to multiply like rabbits. I find these days very relaxing.
Cathy: I spent more time today working on my closet and clothes. I tried on a couple of items. I have a stack of pants, actually a large stack, that need to be hemmed up so that I can wear them with flat shoes. I am excited about getting these done since they have been languishing in my closet for longer than I care to admit.

Affirmation: Yesterday does not define tomorrow
Mind: Youthful
Body: Younger looking thinner...at least in clothes...not so much out of them Spirit: Yeasty - in that it is always expanding and moldable when added to the right thing Gratitude: Yesterdays happy memories
I am off to get my flu jab, pick up a package from the post office, pick up meds for the coming month and buy some nonfat dairy. It will be a busy afternoon.
MICHELLE: I applaud you for getting the pants hemmed! I still have some waiting for me to see to them, too. I need to keep making progress in the closet and drawers but...it is sometimes slow going!

Affirmation: I stay on course. Mind: Attentive and Focused Body: Walking, Yoga and another OP day Spirit: Filled with light Gratitude: Lovely music I ordered my little 2022 desk calendar to record my weight daily. This is the 6th one!!! I started this 7/10/17 and it has been the best WW trick I have ever tried. 1,762 Days of daily weighing! Of course I have not done this perfectly but I never ever skipped because I over ate. I stay between 15 and 16 pounds down from my beginning high weight--which when I started I thought that all I needed to lose was 3 or 4 pounds.
Cathy: I am hoping to made gigantic strides in the pants hemming area this weekend and am not going to let a little thing like cleaning my house interfere!

Affirmation: Zest for life makes every day better
Mind: zany zig-zag thinking occupies it from time to time
Body: Zootily dressed more often than not these days
Spirit: Zen state (most of the time)
Gratitude: Zippers...make getting dressed so much easier...unless they get stuck
Had the flu shot, picked up the package from the post office, bought dairy and picked up cat food. We accomplished a lot yesterday. I washed the new underwear and bra and though they are more hipster than the type of undies I prefer...they fit and are comfy and are NEW and not BAGGY! Hooray! I tried some of the sample lipstick my daughter put in, took a photo and sent it to her and my sister. It is overcast and cool so think I may get out of the outfit I put on and return to cozy pajamas, fleece robe and socks then tuck myself in to read a book.
MICHELLE: Here's to getting your pants hemmed. I need to try a few more on to see if it is worth hemming them or not. I don't WEAR them daily so wonder now if it is worth hemming them now or waiting till at goal weight might be smarter. I wore one pair I hemmed and put elastic in and they almost fell off...bad elastic or did I lose my hips? Anyway... Oh, I am also trying the white shirt today...with makeup it is "okay" but white is NOT my color. I can either dye the linen or wear a scarf but...hmm...it is a nice shirt so we will see. I have been learning more about color, contrast, and depth of color...I want to perhaps focus next on light, medium, and dark in the colors that look good on me and decide which saturation works best. I do enjoy dipping my toes/mind into new ideas
Hope this is a good weekend for all!
