If he weren't so absolutely horrid he would be pathetic. One more thing for the rest of the leaders of the world to laugh at him about. I guess the only thing that letter has going for it is that it was typed by someone rather than his writing it in crayon. Of course judging by as large as he writes his name, there probably wouldn't have been enough paper in the White House to fit the letter on if he had written it in crayon.

No doubt the original draft was in red crayon "Dear Nancy, I hate you!" lol

This is starting to feel more and more like The Madness of King George.

I'm not watching the impeachment debate, but from time to time see comments that have been made. Just how hysterical do you think the Republicans can get? Does anyone need to call 911 for them? I mean really, saying that this is a worse day than Pearl Harbor? How over the top can you get?

I've had the TV on, but only listening here & there. Its really only a rehash of the last week or so. I honestly don't see the need for this, other than everyone gets their say. But, jeez to drag it out for a whole day, which is what the Republicans want, of course. That way once again, they will try to use the excuse "in the dark of night" they impeached this President. It's just been a whole lot of Grandstanding on the Republicans part & trying to explain again, from the Democrats. Each side is not listening to the other. No wonder people tune out.

There's no doubt that he more than earned this, but what a sad state of affairs for our country. Obama lifted us up, but Trump has drug us into the slime.

I doubt there is a bottom for this JA. He is one amoral person! I was more disturbed by the reaction of those standing behind him with their clapping & laughing. I wonder if they even realize they are being judged on their reactions to JA outrageous statement from the viewing audience. Maybe they don't care, but I sure would be ashamed of myself for laughing at JA attempt at wit.
Donnie Jr tweet from 2016 is coming back to bite him...LOL He had tweeted back then about President Clinton being impeached & how Clinton was "deplorable"...LOL So, guess, Daddy falls into that category now too...LOL
JA brings his son Baron up in a political scenario at the rally last night!...Wonder where Melania's outrage is today, with her "Be Best" & her insisting kids should not be used as political talking points. I wonder if her moral character is determined by how many $$$ she receives for staying silent until JA leaves office. She needs to drag out her "Who Cares" jacket for the Holiday Season.
Well, I think I'm ready for the kids coming this weekend. Just need to make some Christmas cutout cookies & then I will let them all decorate for something to do this weekend. I'm sure the weekend will go quickly, so I intend to enjoy every moment. DIL is so very good at helping with the food & entertaining, etc, so that makes it so much easier for me this time since my hip is screaming at me most days. Weather is suppose to be almost Banana Belt weather for here this weekend. In the low 40's!
Chat with you all next week after they leave on Monday. Have a pleasant weekend & enjoy the season!

Linda - have a wonderful time with your family!! That's great that your DIL is so good helping so it's not all up to you. I can relate to the hip pain and having to get through it and still enjoy hosting family. And the cold - CT's high for today is around 21. Lots of freezing rain that fell on Tuesday (?) is still on our trees - just gorgeous glittering in the sun. I'll take the cold to have beauty like that!! But mostly prefer to gaze at it from indoors, thank you very much! LOL
EVERYONE - I'm catching up after having problems with a new modem and router and ProBoards just being impossible to load. Most but not all other websites are fine. I didn't watch the hearing and votes this week. Actually last week I didn't realize it was going on for so many days. I just get so aggravated by some of the repubs - especially Doug Collins and Jim Jordan. Soooo rude!! I find myself checking 538 and just hoping things will swing "our way" but then agree with Birdgal that polls are not a great idea.
I also don't agree that the economy is all in the hands of the president which is what Trumpsters seem to think. If it stays strong, that doesn't bode well for the 2020 election outcome.

DotRen ,the comment about Rep Dingell was just beyond disgusting, and I agree about those people at the rally who actually laughed. They should be ashamed of themselves, but I'll bet they are not. Anybody who can hold this "thing" up as a role model is just as scummy as he is or at least on the fast track to get there. conniefromct , I didn't watch the impeachment debates either as it was just more than I could take, but from the clips I saw and what I read they were way over the top with their outrageous claims. I too worry that people are giving this JA too much credit for the economy, and that may hurt at the polls next November. @lka48 , Linda, enjoy your family time this weekend and especially enjoy the DGKs. Glad your DIL is good to help and hope your hip will not give you too much pain. The next Democratic primary debate is tonight. I'm ready for the field to be thinned out so we can hear more from individual candidates who have a definite chance.

A crack in his evangelical base should be having the JA running scared. I don't consider myself evangelical, but I have friends who are. I am seeing posts from friends where younger (30s-40s) are wanting him out of office. His treatment of immigrants at the border was a bridge too far for these friends of mine. I thought maybe they were an aberration, but it looks like they may be at the tip of the spear. Strangely I am not seeing any posts in my FB feed defending him. Be afraid JA, be very afraid.

Did any of you watch last night's debate? We did, and I thought Amy Klobuchar was on fire. IMO, she was by far the best performance on that stage. I really like her, so I wish I thought she had a better chance at the nomination, but as much as I like her I still think she's a long shot. Mayor Pete did well too especially as he took some incoming fire, and I thought handled that well. He's another one I like. Biden did better than he has been doing in these debates. Bernie was just Bernie. He's always pretty steady. There were no stellar moments for him, but no downfalls either. Yang and Steyer did ok, but they didn't have as much opportunity to speak. Elizabeth, IMO, did not have a very good debate. In the first half, she sounded too much like what I think her stump speech is. Just the same exact phrases that we keep hearing over and over, and I wanted to at least see them expressed differently. In the second half she came back fighting and launched the first attack against Mayor Pete, but as I said I think he handled it well. Amy also hit Mayor Pete in the second half. I think both her point and his come back resonated well so it was probably a tie between them on that front.
Hope Linda is enjoying her family time.

I am sick of people I know (that voted for DT) saying they "didn't know he was like this".. B.S.! He's still the EXACT same person he was when you voted for him. He never once gave any illusion (delusion!) that he was anything other than THIS.

Yes, there's no excuse that they didn't know who or what he was. One thing you have to give him credit for, he never tried to hide who he was. What was that famous line from Sarah Palin about putting lipstick on a pig? Well a lot of those voters evidently thought they could hold their nose and put lipstick on that pig, but clearly they have found out they couldn't. Whether they are willing to stand up now and admit it remains the question.
