Dotren, how is Murray doing?
Amy, I have never heard of a water rowing machine. I hope both that and the TM works well for you.
I was really not focused at the meeting yesterday. The Leader is so awesome. I usually pay better attention.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Good morning! amyrs, I'm really impressed by the effort you're putting in. Always new food ideas, new exercise ideas, keep up the good work! DotRen, Glad that Murray is healthy! Funny that he scared the vet. My dog Albert tries to take a bite out of them when he gets a shot, but he's a little dachshund mix so no one is scared. lol I hope his fur loss was just the normal kind. sunrose49, Thanks for the kudos. Sorry you didn't feel focused at the meeting. I did that when I was upset by a gain, which is really silly because that's probably when I needed it the most. It's great that you went, though. You can go again when you're more focused if you want. I've gone to more than one meeting in a week when I needed that extra boost. cj59, wwlurker, *waves* The 3x a day alarm is totally working for me. I tracked my food all week long! That was my first full week in a long time! I thought it would be super annoying too, but it only goes off for a grand total of 30 seconds every day so it feels like it barely rings at all. I'd love for this to translate into weight loss (and I think it will) but not this week. I got a wicked cold that made me all achey, so DH had to "cook" which meant not the best choices. But a good night's sleep has really helped so I hope that I'm on the mend! Hope everyone has a great day!

Hello Everyone irisinnia - Thanks for checking in and I'm glad you are doing well. Hope you had a safe trip home and that you are feeling better soon. DotRen - I'm glad Murray made out alright at the vet. You sound like you have good control over him. I had a little 15 pound terrier that would snap at the vet sometimes, but I probably couldn't have controlled her - she had a mind of her own Great dog though sunrose - Good for you going to your meeting even when you aren't that motivated. I'm glad you have a good leader. amyrs - I hope everything goes well with the delivery and set up of your exercise machines, those sound like a great way to get some healthy exercise. And good for you climbing those 7 flights of stairs!! wwlurker - *waves* I've been having to remind myself to track each day, I'd really gotten out of the habit of doing it. But at least I'm still eating some healthy foods each day, drinking water and walking. I guess that's keeping me from gaining any weight even if I'm not losing any Have a great day!

Good morning
So stupid why I was not focused. I left my WI book at home, I had no pens in my purse or paper. I have been trying to take notes at the meetings to feel more focused and capture things that may help me. So I was annoyed for that reason...lol
irisinnia, hope you are feeling better. I have gone to more than one meeting before. I just really like this leader on Saturday's. That's great setting the alarm to track is working so well.
Amy, I hope you like the rower.
cj, you are doing somethings right so that is a plus!
Already did one walk with Maddie. Will do another one later after my doctor appointment.

cj59, Murray's an a$$hole lol -but we love him He's always been a food guarder, but I worked with him since he was a puppy and so I can touch him, move his food and all that when he's eating, but no one else can. We have never been able to give him Kong or other food toys because he would bite. I'm wondering if his reaction to the vet might have been because he had just given Murray a treat and that food guarding kicked in. sunrose49, Glad you liked your leader. There are no meetings within 30 miles of me. How's your weather for walking? amyrs, good luck with the new rower and hope your knee procedure goes well Wednesday irisinnia, hope you're feeling better

Hi everyone!
This is my first check-in of the year. I hope you all had a great holiday. I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things. I didn't track at all over Christmas but I didn't gain, either. I hopped on the scale the other day and was surprised to see that I stayed the same.
I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do this year. I was starting to feel a little discouraged and overwhelmed, so the break was good for me. I really want to focus on eating well for overall health and exercise for the same reason. But, it's so easy for me to get sucked in!
I'm not really a resolution kind of girl, but I do have some goals that I would like to work on this year. I know we're a week into the year already but I want to work on plotting out some goals.
Hope you all are doing well!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well wwlurker - You often say the things I'm thinking. I'm kind of where you are too. I can't decide on what I "plan" I want to follow. I'd just like to eat healthy and lose some weight, but I can't get motivated to start and I think not having a plan will make it easy for me to overeat and eat junk. Hope we can both figure it out. Take care everyone!

Good morning
dotren, wow that is good regarding Murray. My old lab did not like anyone messing with her food. Maddie will let me. She is so sweet.
wwlurker, good to see you. Wow a not gain is awesome over the holidays!
cj, I am with you and wwlurker on your feelings. I just am having problems focusing.
Waving to all.

I canceled the rower too expensive. Instead I bought a rebounder 40 inches that is coming Friday. A renter who I will pay a small sum will put it together. It has a railing to hold onto when getting on and off. Also at first I can jog and slowly hold onto it. I had one when I was younger and I did it every day. I am out of shape so I will do it for 5 minutes at first.

Hello everyone! Thank you for the get well wishes! I hope you are all doing something today that makes you smile! amyrs, I am loving your goals. I think people set unrealistic goals when it comes to fitness, expecting to have tremendous strength and/or endurance - which leads them to feel like they've failed or just wears them out so they don't want to continue. I'm glad that you're picking stuff you like and building up your skills. sunrose49, cj59, wwlurker, The focus is challenging. There are so many distractions, so much "latest science", and always the newest and greatest from WW I think the best advice I ever got was just pick something and stick to it for a week. And that doesn't necessarily have to be a plan, it could just be a small change in your diet, tracking everything honestly, or working out at a certain time of day. As for me, I'm just tracking right now. That's it. PointsPlus, tracking. I'm going into the red most days, but I'm also making small changes that are getting me closer to on plan. I know I should be that awesome dieter I was all those years ago, but she got where she was by starting just like this. See you all soon!
