I can't imagine that ann1953, I have a friend who actually prefers to be awake for things like that and foot surgeries, etc. I wanted to be put out. Unfortunately for me he didn't believe in it. 5 years later I asked for a different gastro doc. To say I'm not big on pain is an understatement lol

ann1953, that is hard to believe. What's with that guy? For the record, I have never been "out" during my many scopes, but have always had IV sedation, used to be Demerol (those were the days), now it's Versed. My last one was a combo of Versed with a touch of Fentanyl. I was viewing the screen of the procedure the whole time, as always.

lani For my last scope they gave me the same drug Michael Jackson OD'd on but monitored it very closely.I never saw or heard anything until afterwards.I would rather not see any screen or anything. One of my online friend's bf just found out he had colon cancer and since I'm overdue for one I will aim for this summer after I'm all over my knee replacement.

No clue. Had I known then what I know now I would have walked out and found a more genteel doctor.

So sorry to hear of your friend's colon cancer. Like you I really have no interest in viewing that or any medical procedure. Sending prayers to you on your knee surgery.

Tuesday Jan. 30: 156.6 - down 2.4
Hi everyone . Scope is all done. Thank you for your good wishes! I go back in 3 years. I was in some sort of twilight. But I don't remember anything. Felt like sleep to me. I took my breakfast with me so I wouldn't overdose at the café.😀 I enjoyed my coffee as soon as I woke up. Funny thing. I usually have it with French vanilla creamer or heavy cream but I had to drink it black yesterday. I really liked it! Amazing how your tastebuds can change. I guess the scale will do its dance by tomorrow but I'm staying OP.

luvvinlife I'm glad all went well. Thursday up 1 lb @120.4 but up 2.4 since last Thursday.I know I should gain weight before my surgery and I hope this is sodium related as I didn't plan on gaining that much in 1 week.

borntexan, It's probably sodium since 2.4 pounds of fat would be an additional 8400 additional calories you ate this past week.

bbbearsmom, That's a great way to look at it. At least you know it won't hang around .

Thanks bbbearsmom. I felt so much better since your post. I have a question. Have you heard anything in your meeting about stools no longer being vouchers and going to electronic starting in February. I have enough through 6/19 but already canceled effective that date because it’s too far to go even once a month plus my upcoming surgery in March.
