I am not watching Trump. I will watch the biggest loser. I'm not watching Trump either. He makes me ill just listening to him.
On a side note, this new season of the Biggest Loser was filmed in my area, like just outside Santa Fe. So I tuned in. So far I have recognized nothing, but maybe they'll take them into town at some point.

I fear many in this country have given up trying to get rid of JA & his administration. They just go along with it now with the mistaken belief it will get better once he's gone. I fear that they don't care if it gets better or not as long as their particular issue is supported, be it anti-abortion, no gun control, restricting immigration, etc. Oh yeah, and ignoring the climate in order to facilitate business.

Linda, good point about the over the top reactions to athletes taking a knee compared to his disgusting behavior. The athletes were respectful when they took a knee. They voiced their protest in a quietly respectful way. The JA just demonstrated his disrespect for the entire nation. Whoever ends up winning the nomination needs to run a campaign ad with a side-by-side clip of the Democrat nominee standing with hand over heart and this clip of the JA as the national anthem is playing. All those vets who said that the taking of a knee was disrespecting your service (and I believe that should never be disrespected although I don't think taking a knee did that), how do you feel about this? This doesn't disrespect you? lani and Linda I am afraid you are right that we have or will go so far down the path of destruction that we can't get back. At least not in my lifetime, and maybe not in the lifetimes of my DGKs. That thought makes me so sad.

On a totally unrelated topic, my DD gave me an air fryer for Christmas, and I am loving it. Which kind of surprises me. I had given up on fried foods years ago, but this is great. Do any of you use one?

I just bought one from Amazon last week. I've used it twice & so far I do think I'm going to like it. I've found many interesting recipes on Pinterest that I'm anxious to try. I resisted getting one for quite awhile, thinking I would use it once or twice & then have to find a place to store it. I think there might be a learning curve to this way of cooking, so hope my old brain is up for it....LOL

Occasionally. It's easy to make burgers in it, and less messy (6 minutes, flip, 4-6 minutes more). I see a lot of facebook posts using it to make pretzels, bagels, naan with the 2 ingredient dough, but I haven't tried that yet.

I think there is a learning curve, but so far I am very pleased. I'm liking it much better than I thought I might. So far, so good! I see posts of people making cakes, etc. in them. That's not going to be me. I don't make them in my oven, so I'm not about to start in my AF. But for things we normally eat, I am learning to like this. ---------- Do you think we're going to know who won Iowa before the next inauguration? Just wondering . . .

One thing about Susan Collins, she's reliable. You always know how she'll ultimately come down.

They never disappoint, do they?
If a Democrat behaved like this he'd already be tarred, feathered, and kicked to the curb. They are a despicable lot this new breed of republicans. Weak little cowards who'd betray their countrymen/women instead of standing up to the crazy king and his clueless supporters.
I'm not asking for a David or a Wonder Woman. I'm just asking for a sane, reasonable, thinking human being capable of bringing sanity, respect, and trust back to DC.
I believe trump has a team of people looking through a bible to find something he can do or say to have the so called Evangelicals praise his holy name even more than they do now. They take the bait hook, line, and sinker every time. Oh, I have one. "Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing!"

Not looking good for Biden. Looking very good for Pete. Go Pete! Amy is about where I expected.
I have decided I am not going to even try to watch the SOTU. What's the point? It would just give me an ulcer.

I really dont want Bernie. I would rather have Michael Bloomberg. Pete is low in the polls in New Hampshire. Bernie will be in it till the end. Then the Bernie folks won't vote again in November. In Iowa woman preferred Pete 54 %. Men referred Bernie.

Oh my, Linda, that video just gives me chills. Thanks for sharing it. We know there is no hope of a conviction. Right now it worries me that we may have some Democrat senators from red states defect and vote to acquit. At least I hope that won't happen, but I am afraid it might. Republicans are going to have to own this, and history is not going to be kind to any of them. I did not watch the SOTU last night, and I'm glad. Just watching the clips this morning and hearing the fact checking is enough to make me feel sick. We MUST beat him in November, and I'm terrified that we won't. I do not believe Bernie can win nationally against him, and like amyrs, I'm afraid the Bernie supporters will not vote for someone more moderate. As much as I like Pete, his lack of experience at this stage in his career is a concern for me, and I think will be for a lot of voters. Biden is not the answer even though before he entered the race I thought he might be, but I abandoned that idea weeks ago. I love Amy, but she has no chance at the nomination. Elizabeth would be better than Bernie as the nominee IMO, but I don't think she can pull in the moderates needed to win nationally. So Bloomberg may be our best hope. My DH really likes Bloomberg. I'm going to take a close look at him, but just to learn more. I'd support a trained seal to beat tRump. Yet he he is staying strong among his base, and we know they will get out and vote. So we simply can't be complacent, or we'll be stuck for another 4 more years. After that, there really won't be much if anything left to save of the country. Sorry to sound like such doom and gloom, but that's how I see things right now.

Bloomberg is an actual billionaire, self-made, passionate about climate change and gun control. I love Pete, but I think there are too many voters who will never accept a gay man as president, a lot won't admit it, but it's true.
