Judy enjoy your Indian food.
I tried to like him but just can't get passed the full of himself mindset. That, plus he just HAS to be front and center......I had to put up with that when I worked. Now that I am not on any payroll I just won't tolerate it.
Sheila is stubborn. She should know better as she was a nurse...but sometimes they make the worst patients.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
I had a very fractured night's sleep. I got tired and went to bed about 8 and then found myself still awake at 10 so I got up and watched some TV news. Then I went back to bed, and to sleep; only to wake twice in the night to check my phone (and be disappointed). When I woke at 6 and decided to get up, I found the message that we have another SNOW DAY today!! Yay!! That means another 5-day weekend for me (and I can use it).
I am envious of all of you that have mild temps as we have 20 dg this morning with a Real Feel of 5!! I am glad we're not at school because we wouldn't be able to go outdoors and the kids get really antsy. The sun is shining brightly and there is a warm up in our future - but for now the radio is reporting all kinds of traffic accidents and spin-outs and congested roads. I pray DH is careful out there.
I have to think of something for supper and get meat out of the freezer before too long.
BBL. Make a great day!!

So sorry for you horrid sleep pattern, Sue. God is good in giving you a snow day I'm sure you can use it and will put it to good use. Our weather has been all over the map since I woke up. Started with pouring rain, then sunshine, then rain and heavy winds, then a snow squall and now the sun is out again. When I see the flying monkeys from the Wizard Of Oz, I'll let y'all know!

Hi all,
Ann, you have your wish. Mr. Sunshine came out here a while ago but the wind is whistling to "beat the band" as my grandpa used to say! I am channeling those old expressions a lot these days. I know what you mean about being around those people who must "hold court" and are full of themselves. That plus really loud people - especially at work - wear me down! I just am picky about who I choose to spend my off time with these days and find myself saying no to a lot of stuff.
Sue, I saw your Detroit weather on the news last night. Yikes - the roads looked horrible so I am very glad you are home and hope your DH remains safe on the roads. That sunshine and warm up will be nice for you. Sorry your night was so restless.
I developed yet another UTI yesterday. I had one in September, October, December and now this one. Ugh! I saw the uro-gyno person--my mom was plagued with them as well. It gets discouraging and it's painful and not fun. I feel in a funk when I get one. I tried to get my doctor last night before I left work but I missed the nurses so I am waiting for a call back today. My day is super fun-filled - lol- because my noon hour is going to be spent at the tax accountant's office. But, the good news is that I slept like a champ last night. Went to bed at 10 and up at 6:30.
I'll bbl. Have a good day. Oh, when it rains, it pours on the book waiting lists. Five of the books I have been waiting for all showed up in two days. I know some will be poofed away before I am done so I must prioritize!!

Judy amen to that sistah....I am also very cautious of the company I keep. LOL to the old sayings. Yup our wind sounds like a freight train right now...but the sun is shinning. Guess it's going to be one of 'those' days. Wind brings a new meaning to 'going for a walk and let the stink blow off you' LOL...one of my grammas sayings So sorry to hear about you UTI, Judy. I've only had one in my entire lifetime and that was eons ago. Sending warm hugs and good wishes your way that the doctor calls and gives you an Rx. So happy that you slept well last night. I did as well and always so grateful for that. Judy that was me two weeks ago. All 6 books arrived within a day! Like you I read the best ones and jotted the title down on the ones that I knew would poof away to download at a later date. Have fun at noon

Good morning!
I slept a full 8 hours and woke feeling refreshed. The sun is shining and we're back in the 40's. I actually have to check the weather each morning before deciding what to wear--long sleeves or short? Layers? Warm pants or crops? Shoes only or shoes and socks? We will get near freezing tonight, but it shouldn't be for a long period, so I am not hauling plants back inside.
Well, my with-it selection committee through me a curve ball at the meeting. One member has a doctor's appointment on the day we had set aside for interviews. Two of us have long drives to BTR. I have asked for suggestions on how to handle things. I suspect we will push interviews back a week.
DH has gone to pick up Jude for a trip to BTR for Five Guys burgers and a movie. I am sure they will have a good time. Jude was so bummed about being housebound during his Mardi Gras school vacation, so it will be a bright spot for him. I need to pick up groceries and have a 3:00 pm meeting at church. I also need to squeeze in a hospice visit this week if the family allows it. They tend to refuse a lot of visits.
Sue - Sorry about the fractured sleep last night. Maybe you can get in a short nap this afternoon.
Ann - Wow! That's a lot of weather changes in a short time frame. If you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes and it will change, huh?
Judy - Curses on the recurrent UTI! How depressing! I know there are many causes, so I hope your urologist can get to the bottom of it and find a course of treatment or preventative that works for you.
Weight-wise, I am maintaining perfectly--at 11 lbs. above goal weight. I lose and regain the same 2-3 lbs. over and over because I tend to slack off on efforts after 2-3 weeks of steady progress. I am the definition of insanity, lol. I do the same things over and over and expect a different result. I know if I quit trying, the pounds will come piling on, so nothing to do but keep on keeping on!

Pam sorry about the curve ball. I hear you on the up and down in the weight department. KOKO and I know you will be back to where you want to be. Carl walked LuLa solo. It's not raining but extremely windy. I'm happy to spend the day curled up on the sectional until I leave for weight watchers. My daily chores are done. Carl offered to make American chop suey for supper. Who am I to complain

Hi all, I’m in the lab now waiting for the culture to be doneor the URI. I just wrapped up a tax visit so that’s done except for writing some checks in a few weeks. Such is life.
Pam, how about conference calls to bring in absentee board members? We do that all the time. It’s so hard to gather big groups! Jude is lucky to have such a fun grandpa! I hear you on the definition of insanity!!! I’m in that club.🤓
Ann, I think I saw some flying monkeys!! 🤪

Hope your wait isn't too long, Judy. Lol on the flying monkeys. I hate leaving my nice cozy warm home to weigh in.....especially knowing it's more than likely a gain.

Hi girls. The last time I went to weight watchers was 1/30. Tonight when I weighted in I lost .2 I'll take it. February is a hard month. I actually stayed for the meeting as one of the ladies that I like chatting with was there.
I'm all jammified and want to sit and read a bit.
Sweet dreams.

Congratulations on a loss, Ann! Well, we decided to move the interviews to March 10th. Problem solved. I did a huge grocery shopping trip today and stocked up on staples, anticipating either corona-virus or hurricane season. I was amazed at the number of people buying cleaning supplies, toilet paper, etc. Found this handy-dandy guide: www.dukescounty.org/emergency-management/pages/preparing-coronavirus? fbclid=IwAR38Brb_yxLx1bYd2kUWnMiMChVZNPcHwVubUM8eNZCIA8uAk20jNP3MVd0. We have a few more staple and OTC medicines to pick up and we will be good to go with whatever the future holds for us. I have had the flu a couple of times and I sure hope we don't get it, but there's no use worrying about something over which we have very little control. I will get prepped and then hope and pray for the best. After getting all the groceries put away, I went to a meeting about a new church ministry we are trying to start which will aid the poor, shut-ins, etc. I was asked to give input because of my many years as a "welfare lady". I made it to yoga and then fixed cubed steaks, garlic mashed potatoes and cauliflower for dinner. DH and I split one steak and it was more than enough. Now I'm going to get jammified and read a bit. Sweet dreams all!

Good morning WW friends. Another good sleeping night for which I'm grateful Also need to comment on the weather...cold but not nutz like yesterday...I'll take it It'll be interesting on our hood walk to see what has blown around. Pam thanks for the site. Very informative. It's always best to be fully prepared. I'm sure your input at the church meeting was very helpful. Carl and I also split a steak as they pack them so huge these days. A little beef goes a long way. Your sides sound great. Today will be spent running errands. I'll bundle up for a hood walk and take it from there. Need to think up a healthy meat free meal for tonight. Waving and wishing all a wonderful OP Friday. Will CBL

Hi all,
I wrote a couple paragraphs and they poofed away! Same deal as Pam a few days back. Oh well.
TGIF for us and it's a busy Friday. I have a very, very belated holiday Yankee swap today at a local Chinese restaurant. My gifts are more appropriate for December and January than this time of year, but that's okay. It's a cold one today so that's good. I bought some really cushy, Cuddle Dud Sherpa lined slipper socks and a couple nice lip balms as my gift. Tonight we are meeting my brother and sister in law who are up from Naples, FL for a short visit for dinner halfway between their Boston apartment and us at Burton's Grille. It's a nice place - and they will cook food anyway you want for any dietary issues - salt-free, gluten, etc. Everything is done to order and fresh. I like that part of it since so many restaurants have menu items loaded with sodium.
Ann - YAY on the WL. See, wasn't it worth dodging several flying monkeys to see those results! Love that Carl made you American Chop Suey. Yum.
This AM the colleague in the office next to mine is in her LOUD mood. It is mostly that way but some days are intolerable. I put on my headset and cranked up the music, but I can still hear her OVER that volume. Ugh. I should probably ask her to lower her voice, but I feel it would not be the best move. She is a very nice person, but this attribute drives me over the edge. And the topics are always personal - either her two sons who are high school and out of college or some anecdotal story that I have heard over and over.
I noticed all the typos from my post yesterday when I was at the medical lab. LOL I am clearly not skilled at typing on the iPhone! Very tedious and full of the wrong letters. Sorry 'bout that.
Pam, thanks for the readiness link for Corona. Interesting that it comes from Dukes County in Massachusetts and the Vineyard! :-) I think those on the island worry more since they are so isolated and stuck together. It is a frightening scenario but I remind myself that 12-18,000 people have already died from the "regular" flu this season alone in the U.S. so that puts this in perspective. We have to live and just be cautious. I'm due to fly in a few weeks, but I will pay attention to CDC recommendations and warnings. I noticed that JetBlue has already offered people penalty-free cancellations anywhere they are going so other airlines are sure to follow. I am glad we canceled the cruise ship trip to Alaska for a host of reasons-this Corona virus being one.
I am now on broad spectrum antibiotics for my UTI. It is a recurring problem and my mother had the same issues. I had bleeding and white blood count is up there in the lab results. Ugh. Plus it is painful and I try to catch this asap so I don't suffer kidney infections. But, all is good now and I start to feel better right away.
I am trying to do a no screen time at night lately including TV and focus more on reading. After all, I have a long list waiting on my Kindle. Wonder how I will do with that. LOL Luckily, they stay on the Kindle even after expiration and I can request them again.
Talk to you all later and have a great day.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
TGIF!! It is hard to believe that March will arrive this weekend! We still have bitter cold temps (20 with a RF of 5 when I got up). I have been putting off going to the grocery store, but I think today is the day. The fridge (usually packed full of leftovers) is looking pretty bare.
Recently DH bought a pack of small "eye of round" steaks. I worried they wouldn't be tender, but put two in the crockpot that next day, and they came out wonderfully tender and delicious! He had frozen the rest in 4-packs for freezing. I put a package in the crockpot so we can each have one for dinner and have two cooked ones leftover for next time.
Pam ~ I can so relate to the frustration of losing and gaining the same few pounds as I do the same thing. This time I am determined to break through what is trying to become my new "set point" which is 2 lbs over my goal weight. Just not working for me. I toyed with the idea of asking my doctor for a note (which I know he would do) but that discouraged me even more. I just need to cut out snacks and especially in the evening.
Judy ~ So sorry about your UTI, but glad that you got right in and tested, and hopefully the meds will take over quickly. I also have only had one many years ago, but I remember how miserable it was!! I used to love Indian food, when I worked in the hospital I was secretary to an Indian doctor and his wife was a terrific cook. They rather adopted my daughter and me, and we enjoyed many meals at their house. YUM!
Ann ~ I had to LOL about the "flying monkeys". You know, that saying about the weather ("just wait) is very common in Michigan and we tend to think we own it. I have to also totally agree about not wanting to be around disagreeable or self-important people. I feel like I have reached an age where I can pick and choose, and I always do not choose those. Good for you!
Well, I have showered and made the bed and supper is started, so I better get rolling to head for the grocery store soon. I napped off and on all afternoon yesterday. DH came home at lunch time and brought us some chili (did anyone else know it was National Chili Day?) Alexa told us first thing in the morning; then we heard it on the radio as well. So he brought some home, and then he stayed home. We both enjoyed a very relaxing afternoon (just what the doctor ordered for BOTH of us). I went to bed at 9 last night and slept until 7 this morning - and dare I say it?? I actually feel a little bit better this morning. I am still awaiting that magical morning when I wake up and say "gee, I'm well". Maybe soon?
We have a pretty quiet weekend on tap this time. Nothing on our calendar until Sunday afternoon when we have to do a Retrouvaille presentation and stay for a pot luck dinner. We can handle that.
BBL. Make a great day!!
