LOL Judy! Yes it certainly was well worth dodging the flying monkeys I even stayed for the meeting which is rare these days. I do miss going to Leominster...but not the weekly ride to and from. Most of the people that I used to chum with aren't going...just one gal that I keep in contact with via phone. GRRRR to 'loud mouth lime' at work. I sympathize with you. We had several at City Hall like that and I don't miss it at all. I think that's why I have such a low tolerance to any of that now that I'm retired. Love the gifts that you chose for that Yankee swap. I'm sure they will also. That Burton's Grill sounds awesome. Nice to know that there are still restaurants around that will cater to dietary needs. Praying that the Rx kicks in quickly. LOL to the reading. I've fallen behind as at night I am into watching that silly Brooklyn Nine Nine. Very lite and perfect for a 'before to sleep' series. The American chop suey was delish. Happy to say that it didn't add to my weight this morning Always a plus when that happens. Time to saddle up Carl and LuLa and go for a hood walk. I ordered as new Tervis bottle via Amazon with owls on it Just love it. I picked up a cheap water mug at Walmart and it was okay until the water started to taste funky. That went out in the trash. I never had a problem with Tervis. My other one in a daisy pattern is still going strong. I need two as I swap them out LOL...saves on always refilling them. When I was on very light duty and wasn't able to lift the water pitcher to fill my mugs, Carl was doing it for me. He said that he didn't realize just how much water I consumed in a day LOL. Oh well...... Need to get a move on. I've bent your eyes enough

LOL Sue I was so gabby that you popped in while I was typing. Nice that you have a quiet weekend on tap. We do as well. Just want to stop in and pay a visit to a few friends in our community that haven't been feeling well. I picked up some goodies to share with them. I am so all over getting over February. The only days I look forward to are Valentine's Day and Carl's bday. The rest of the month (or is it because of those two occasions) have me craving COMFORT FOODS!!!! Perhaps a little of both. I never need an invitation to overeat. Marsh will be different!!!!! Yes I did hear Alexa announce chili day. Perhaps I'll throw together a meatless version for tonight. Never thought of that Thanks for the suggestion. First time we tried eye of round steaks we did the on the grille and they were like shoe leather. Now whenever we get them into the crock pot they go. They come out so tender that way. I should say instant pot as I donated my bigger crock pots. I just have a smaller one for whatever..... We are on the same page with avoiding THOSE type of people! Who needs it? Glad the flying monkeys put a smile on your face. Happy you and DH are feeling better. Well, now I really must be going. I'm a great procrastinator. Waving.............

Happy Saturday WW friends. Another good sleeping night for which I'm grateful. Those are the kinds of things $$ can't buy!
Nothing pressing on the agenda for today. I plan on move track plan and hydrate. Hopefully it won't feel as cold out there today as it did yesterday and I'll get a longer hood walk in.
I do have a few household chores to complete.
Tonight we are having a roast in the instant pot with veggies. The rest will be frozen for another time.
Will CBL....stay warm and have a great Saturday! (I did wake up thinking it was Sunday LOL)

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Saturday!! I also slept well last night and woke feeling refreshed. Being a planner by nature, I have started preparing myself for the time change next weekend. To be honest, I don't think I ever changed, as I still feel sleepy at 9 o'clock (which will later on be 10). I have been sleeping later in the mornings, but this morning I woke up (and got up) at 6 o'clock. I can manage my schedule if I'm up by 7 in the mornings.
Ann ~ I do hope you get your hood walk in today. We still have frigid temps with an actual of 18 and RF of 4. Geez .... this is getting old!! But at least we show a warm-up in our future. I LOL'd about your first experience with eye of round. When DH brought home a huge pack, I remembered that I love the flavor, but they are tough! So I experimented with 2 small ones in the crockpot and they were perfect. I did the same yesterday and we enjoyed them very much.
Today I need to plan a birthday party for my work partner for next Wednesday. I will go to Meijer and order a small cake with her name on it and buy a pot of Spring flowers for her - along with a card and plates. I woke up thinking about it.
I got the laundry caught up yesterday so that's behind me. I may do a bit of house cleaning today but that remains to be seen. I got an email from our Pool & Fitness Center with the March schedules attached, and lo and behold! there are Aquacise classes as well and they are included in my Silver Sneakers membership. I may just look into that at some point in the future. We'll see .........
We have had breakfast and I put a turkey tenderloin in the crockpot to serve with sweet potatoes and a vegetable. Now to finish getting the house in shape and head out to do my shopping.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Hi Sue. Yeah to your turkey tenderloin. What time shall I come over All the talk of this good food makes my mouth water. Right now it's up to 27 with real feel of 18. Of course what their real feel is and mine are a totally different story. Hopefully last a little longer today. I do have one load of laundry on now. I cleaned bathrooms and all that's left is to go through the refrigerator looking for science projects. I try to not have them...but 'life happens' Need my coffee...will pop in later.

Hi Ann ~ Glad your temp is rising. So is mine. It is now up to 25 with a RF of 11. I took your good idea and cleaned the bathroom while I was redecorating. All that's not done today is floors and I have a feeling they aren't going to get done?? I have been busy today. It is not yet noon and I have changed our bed and laundered and packed away the flannel sheets - replacing them with percale. Not to be too drastic of a change, I left the heated mattress pad on the bed so we can pre-warm it before bedtime. Baby steps, doncha know?? <LOL> While I was at it, I took all my snowmen downstairs and packed them away and got out some Spring-like and Easter decorations to replace them. I brought up the lemon oil and its cloth and dusted and polished the dining table and coffee table and living room wooden furniture. Whew!! It looks very nice and I'm glad to have it done. It's one of those things that needed doing for some time and FINALLY!! I packed away the snowman placemats and reset the table which really pleased me! I am headed out shortly for my shopping trip. Then I'll see what's to do when I get back.

I'm back home. Not much going on here except that DH is making his huge fruit bowl to take to Retrouvaille tomorrow for a Pot Luck Dinner. He is getting well known for that and as big as it is, it always comes home empty! I used have a fantasy that we'd bring home enough for fruit for our refrigerator, but that has never happened. He has cantaloupe, watermelon, pineapple, strawberries kiwi, blueberries and raspberries. It is always a hit. Plus he doesn't go buy it 'made up' from a store, he buys the fresh fruit and cuts it all up. YUM!
I ordered a 1/8 sheet cake for my partner's birthday and made arrangements to pick it up Tuesday afternoon. Then I can bring it home and leave it in my car for Wednesday. It will stay cold but not freeze. I spied some pots of fresh Spring flowers that I can grab one of on the way to the Bakery; and already got the Happy Birthday plates and plastic forks - and of course a birthday card! I'm glad that is all taken care of.
I compromised and vacuumed the house, but still left the kitchen and bathroom floors for another day. They can be done after school one day. I had LF cottage cheese with NSA pineapple chunks for lunch. I have been successful in staying beneath my SP this past week. I plan to go for WI on Wednesday with VBF.
BBL.

Just got back home from running errands. Unfortunately they didn't have another big pork shoulder for Carl to make Italian sausage. Luckily we picked one up on sale earlier in the week. There will always be another sale. We got what we needed at Hannaford's. I picked up more pink lady apples. Those are so juicy and crisp and I love them with a baby bell light cheese or a cheese stick. Makes a good snack. I did take a hood walk and found it better than it was yesterday. So much nicer until the wind decides to blow and then those flying monkeys appear LOL. Sue you accomplished a LOT. I agree...those floors can wait for another day. That fruit salad sound fantastic. I can see how it all goes Great job on ordering the cake and getting all the rest of the stuff. Like you, I love planning ahead. I don't do well 'winging things' and really never have. Time to finish off online and then sit and have a coffee. Will try to pop in later. Waving to Judy and Pam.

Goooooood morning WW friends Another great sleeping night. I'm ready to face March with a on my face. One day closer to warmer weather and less wind works for me! Nothing pressing on our agenda for today. We had a nice visit with a few of the ladies here yesterday. One lucky soul is traveling to California for a month or so to visit her DH's relatives. She asked that we keep an eye on her house. No big deal there. She also gifted us with a Perdue chicken that she didn't eat. That we'll put to good use! Into the freezer it went to keep the others company Will pop in later to see what's up in your neck of the woods.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy March!! You're right, Ann, this puts us closer to SPRING! I am very excited about that. I feel the need for some change in my life. It is still only 20 dg this morning with a RF of 11 - but we've got a promised warm-up this week and I am excited about that - temps in the 40's!!
I also slept well last night and woke at 6 a.m. again (which was my goal). That made me happy. I stayed up until 9 last night. During the afternoon we watched this past week's episodes of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD (which was a crossover). Last night we watched this past week's episode of "Law & Order: SVU" then went to bed.
I have been waiting to see if this is real ...... but starting last Friday I woke without that heavy-headed fatigued feeling that has been plaguing me for a month now. I thought it might be temporary, but Saturday followed right along and today so far. I have had my usual amount of energy and gotten things taken care of without pushing myself. I also have been waking on time (refreshed) and not taking a nap (not even a cat nap). You have no idea what a relief that is!!! I FINALLY feel like I'm getting well from my shingles outbreak. I still have one patch of lesions (fading) that cause me discomfort by day's end if I wear a bra all day, but I know that will pass as well. I just couldn't stand that dizzy, heavy-headed feeling anymore.
Also, DH is completely healed and back to normal. That is as much a relief to me as mine. He made up his fruit bowl and weighed it. Every time we try to guesstimate how much it is, and this time we remembered to weigh it. He weighed himself, then weighed himself with the fruit bowl. It weighs 10 lbs!! That was my guess last time so I was right on.
We have had breakfast and packed up everything that we're taking to Retrouvaille this afternoon. DH's VBF texted me that he isn't working today so he won't be joining us for lunch. We will be eating early as we have a long drive to make and we present at 2 p.m. There will be a Pot Luck dinner after the presentations, then we'll come right home.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue that is awesome that you slept well and woke up without that heavy head feeling. Also not fond of that dizzy feeling. Praying that you took one huge giant step in returning to YOU. Wonderful that you and DH are both feeling good. Enjoy your afternoon at Retrouvaille. Time for another coffee before I start my day Waving.....

Hi all,
i enjoyed reading all all your posts and catching up. Happy March!
Sue, hope your trip today went well. I had forgotten all about the clock change coming up soon. In fact, I slept till 9:30 today! I’m sure to be ill prepared for the clock to spring ahead!
We we had a lovely time with my brother and SIL Friday night at Burton’s. I had a nice steak and potato and DH had scallops with crabmeat stuffing. I brought half home. The steak was so good. Not overly seasoned and very tender. We chatted over wine for close to 3 hours and could have talked 3 more but we were all tired.
I had a pedicure and dip manicure yesterday in prep for the big HollyWOOd event. The name come from Worcester’s nickname Woo-Town! It was quite the elegant affair with about 350 guests, a great band, dignitaries and local leaders and politicians and a wonderful silent auction and larger bidding for vacations, etc. I enjoyed it and seeing the beautiful gowns and outfits. However, I started feeling achey and a bit “puny” around the time dinner was served. I couldn’t eat much but wound up dancing a couple dances and heading home about 10. The UTI was to blame. That was fine as the event started at 6. I had a good time catching up with a good friend I had not seen in ages and I saw several other people from the community.
Today I did a few chores and one errand and cooked a steak with carrots and sweet potatoes for dinner and rested. We watched Knives Out on Prime and DH did some brush burning after getting a burning permit. So a quiet day overall. Our DS called tonight. They are already busy packing up their home in preparation for their big move in a month or so. That happpened so fast! They had 14 bids on their home in one weekend and wound up selling way, way over their asking price! Lucky them and hard to believe. They are very excited about the new home. DH was helping them go over their punch list for the new house. It was a knockdown and rebuild in a very established nice area.
I am off to bed. I finished one book and am now reading one of Ann’s recommended authors Shari Lapena’s A Stranger in the House. It’s a real page turner as was Behind Her Eyes. Just what I need. I also watched Outlander tonight. I love that show!
night all.
