And hugs to finreporter, also as their air quality is just as bad.

thanks, luanne!
it constantly smells like smoke and i haven't seen a blue sky in over a week. the bobcat fire is the one we're getting all the smoke from i think. it's making its way closer to los angeles. some residents of arcadia had to start evacuating last night. i was in pasadena yesterday and the smoke was much worse than here in the san fernando valley where i'm at.

Our older dd lives in Sunnyvale, which is in the Silicon Valley. She has told us there are no fires close by, but like pretty much everyone else in the state they are affected by the smoke and the air quality.

my ex was over on the weekend and he kept closing the windows after i'd open them. i'm so used to just opening them up and letting the "fresh air" in on any other day that it hadn't occured to me to not do it.. i figured out why he kept doing it when my eyes started stinging and watering. i also keep having sinus issues almost like when my allergies act up in the spring.

We had a fire in our area a couple of weeks ago. Nothing like what it going on on the west coast, but still producing smoke. We were also getting smoke from some of the fires in Colorado and Arizona. The first thing dh had us do was to keep the windows closed and the blinds down. We were also told not to use the swamp cooler at night since it pulls in air from the outside.

BTW, I have had good air quality for three straight days. Boo-yah! I'm in Central Calif. Like upper Monterey Bay area.
This morning DH ran into our friend, whose daughter tested positive at college a while back. She did not come up in conversation, so I am assuming she remains asymptomatic.

The CDC finally had acknowledged the aerosol spread of the virus and then on Friday reversed themselves. What happened was they stated aerosol spread was the main vector of spread. Now they changed it to droplet spread being the main vector and all references to aerosol spread are gone.

did someone see it and get his panties in a twist? and now it's gone? Sounds like the most likely scenario.

Another thought on the changing CDC official guidance: it takes the liability away from businesses and schools if folks get sick; they can say "we were following the CDC guidance."
Also, the current Medicare policy will not cover payment for the vaccine if it is approved for emergency use.
IMO the first item is part of their evil plan, the second is garden variety incompetence and will probably be fixed.
