Good morning!
It sounds like we have all hit an emotional slump, which I guess is to be expected since our lives have been turned upside down. We can fight through it, helping each other. We all know that physical exercise is important, as well as feeling like we accomplished something each day. I am trying hard to keep an "attitude of gratitude" by concentrating on the things I can be thankful for: the warm weather and sunshine, the delicate green of new leaves, my cuddly cats, my cyber-friends, etc.
We enjoyed our dinner last night very much. Even though we weren't sure if the sausage was alligator or shrimp, it was delicious. Tonight, DH will make Jamaican Meat Pies, a favorite we haven't had in quite a while. Our big outing today will be driving to Walmart and sitting in the pickup aisle waiting to see how much of our order will be delivered. It's the small joys, lol.
We have a slight cold front coming through right now. It was 71 when I got up, but will drop gradually to the 40's tonight. It should make my walk much more pleasant. DH was disappointed that we didn't get the predicted rain as he will have to water the garden. I may finally get the newer poinsettias in the ground. I also have last fall's chrysanthemums to plant.
I have been indulging in treats like ice cream and chips that I would normally by-pass, but I am also exercising more, so my weight is pretty stable. I know that won't continue for long if I don't dial things back, but I am trying to be gentle with myself right now. Today, I will join our Governor in praying and fasting in place of lunch.
All of my family is still okay and DBIL and DSIL are on the mend. Our parish president issued a statement last evening that in spite of the Dept. of Hospitals only reporting 2 cases of CV in our parish, there are 7. Not sure what is causing the delay in reporting. I have heard of 2 cases in our village, one living just 2 blocks up our street. They are both young men and will hopefully pull through it.
Please, don't anyone feel like personals are necessary. Just share whatever you want and we will be happy to read it. Make yourself a good day!

Two cases confirmed in Athol...both town workers. Some are quarantined and praying they are safe.
Trying to stay positive and busy.
I agree it's so frustrating knowing there are people still traipsing around without a care in the world. One word comes to mind....selfish!
Be well

We have 21 cases in our town and several hundred in a neighboring city. I’m off to bed to forget it for awhile!

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy April Fool's Day! and happy hump day! A two-fer!
We have grey cloudy skies outdoors but a warm-up is headed our way which will be a bonus! DH was reading to me from the paper this morning (one of my favorite morning treats) about people who are flocking to Northern Michigan. They filled one RV park to capacity and it had to be closed to incoming traffic. What in the world are people thinking?? This is NOT vacation; it is NOT Spring Break. "Stay home' means just that!! OK, stepping off my soap box now. But for those of us at risk due to age, it is especially aggravating!!
I did my WW WI this morning at home and was down 3.1# making me the lightest I've been in well over a year. VBF (who is a parttime leader) got an email about weighing at home and logging it on the site, then we'd catch up the differences when they reopen. We decided to participate. I also found on my WI tracker online there is a space for notes ... so I added "At Home". It was definitely encouraging!!
I have stripped our bed and removed our heated mattress pad. Even though we turn it off when we go to bed, we've both been getting too warm at night, so we're trying something different. I brought up the lighter colored sheets to use; and my lighter colored quilt and a lighter blanket. YAY for Spring!! The down-alternative-filled blanket seems to be heating up too much. If it's not enough, we can always add to it.
Yesterday VBF called and walked through me installing Google Hangouts (for Google Meet) on my tablet. We have a coffee date this afternoon and wanted to be able to make it as "lifelike" as possible. Now we're all set for this afternoon and can see each other as well as chat :-) Much as technology can be an aggravation, sometimes it is fun too. I have the time right now to learn new things.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Yeah to your great weigh in, Sue. It was awesome reading some GOOD NEWS for a change I'm focusing right now on all the blessings that I have and writing the in my journal. It keeps my mind from going dark. We have a beautiful day here and I shall have fun going for a walk later on. Sue I've been entering my daily weight on the WW app. Wishing all a wonderful day!

Hi everyone!
Happy Hump Day! I will follow your lead and spread some good cheer instead of feeling like Debbie Downer. Sue, WOW on the WL at home. That's fantastic!! I aim to try to follow. I have been keeping it slightly more in check since my WW workshop yesterday AM, but need to dial it back further and stand back from the chips and snacks. I started the day again with one soft boiled egg and a slice of toast. Had my FF yogurt and strawberries for a snack and half a sandwich for lunch.
I had a long Zoom meeting this morning. They wear me out. It was 90 minutes. I am ready for a nap after all the work I had to do after the meeting!
It is my DD's birthday today. She is 37! She was a little down in the dumps being confined and out of work, etc. But I gave her a gentle reminder that we are all in this together and some have it much worse than we all do. Count your blessings. We are healthy, we have food and shelter and we all have each other. We sent her flowers and a big mylar balloon so that will cheer her, too. I am planning to send her a cake later on.
Sue, I am in agreement with you--what the heck is WRONG with folks who flock to vacation spots to camp, go to the beach, etc.? My DH calls them "jamokes." It's a real word that his mother used.

Judy (((hugs))) Happy bday to your DD. This not savvy chick managed to get into a WW meeting and the gal there looked up my 'group'. Apparently Athol is paired up with Boston!!!! Hopefully I'll be able to repeat the process and get into that one.
OM G Judy...you brought back a wonderful memory. My mother used to always say 'jamokes' LOL......Thanks for that
Still trying to keep happy....... Stay safe, all!

Hello friends!
It is a beautiful, cool, sunny day so DH and I went out and did yard work. We trimmed back the banana and ginger plants in the "green room", which had lots of dead leaves, as well as DH's sugar cane patch. We also weeded, pulling up lots of poison ivy, so it will be a miracle if we escape a rash, even though I wore gloves and long sleeves and threw everything, including my shoes into the washer and took a shower as soon as we finished. It felt good to be active.
I had a nice long facetime with DD3 and Madison yesterday while Leah was napping. Leah is quite the screen hog and Madison usually gets frustrated and wanders off, so it was good to chat with her alone. DH is mailing her some vegetable seeds to plant and she is very excited at the prospect of growing real food.
Judy - Happy birthday to your DD! I hope she enjoys a little celebrating, in spite of the crazy times. I am glad you are still able to work. I have heard some complaints of Zoom meetings being hijacked with porn, so keep your eyes peeled, lol.
Ann - I had to google "jamoke" and found it's about equal to "dumber than a fence post". Be careful about attending any meetings right now as you cannot tell who's been exposed to what.
Sue - Congratulations on an AWESOME WL!!! You are a star at this, for sure! Enjoy your coffee date with VBF.
I had leftover red beans and rice for lunch with a side of beets. Dinner will be a beef and broccoli stir fry with the leftovers from our steak night. We are being extra careful to use things up, since we don't know what the future holds.

Pam my meeting was virtual. Only time I have been out this week is to walk LuLa. Without that I think I'd be insane lol.
Happy you got to face time.
I made a meatloaf for supper. It was very good.
Now I'm jammified and going to read.
Sweet dreams.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Thursday! We had Egg McMuffins for breakfast and fresh strawberries and blueberries.
Judy ~ Happy Birthday to your DD. It is so sad that this pandemic had to affect her birthday celebration. I also feel badly for people who had weddings planned; as well as graduating Seniors. Everyone seems to be having to make sacrifices. Hopefully you can make it up to her next year?
Ann ~ How was your meatloaf?? It sounded divine …. AND I’m sure there are leftovers. Hope the rain doesn’t deter you today. We have glorious sunshine (for the first time in forever). Yay for you going to Virtual Meeting!! You're a whiz!!
Pam ~ Glad you got to Face Time. I got to do my first video chat with VBF yesterday and it went quite well. We are used to seeing each other fairly frequently, so this seems abnormal (along with so many other things).
DH is off to run a couple of errands and I am going out for my first walk. The blanket I put on the bed yesterday was not quite enough so I switched it this morning. I didn’t want to go back to the alternative-down-filled one, so I went middle of the road and used a woven thermal blanket. I remember it being too warm in the past, so hopefully it will be better tonight.
For tonight’s supper we are having Tyson’s Air Fried Chicken breast strips and Alexia Sweet Potato Crispy Bite-Sized Puffs and corn. I saw the chicken advertised on TV a while back and was shocked to find them in Meijer (during this shortage) but grabbed a bag. It will be like a treat, but only 9 SP. I did the easy way and scanned the bar code on both bags so I know it’s accurate.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Just popping back in again before starting the day. Oh...and that will happen after our second cup of coffee We were playing our golf solitaire via our wii and just enjoying our company. LuLa was sleeping on her side of the sectional Those little things surely do put a smile on my face and I need to focus on that to keep my sanity! We have sunshine now but at times gusts of wind. I will walk later just to get out. Sue the meatloaf was great. This time I used Progresso bread crumbs a can of Mexican corn salsa and onion powder and a little cumin. We have more than enough for another go around. That's the thing about meatloaf..it tends to grow LOL. Good for you snagging those Tyson air fry strips. Our Hannaford's was out of them, so I picked up 2 bags of Hannaford brand and were were quite happy with the taste. I'm happy that I picked up plenty of frozen veggies before all this happened. I also have plenty of frozen mixed berries and strawberries and blueberries and even found a bag of frozen peaches that I don't remember getting LOL. Nice to go shopping at home Well, coffee is done. Time to enjoy that second cup. I'm all planned and tracked for the day and I allowed for a few treats. Thursday is the last day of my weight watcher week, so I do have a few 'extras' Stay safe all.....Will CBL

Hey all,
I'm back for another day of working remotely. It has its challenges especially with technology going on and off at times. I lost my VPN connection and remote desktop connection. Somehow my work computer was switched off! Ugh. So, after half a day talking to our IT department, I think I am all set now.
Ann, if you liked jamoke, how about jabrone (another favorite of my mil and dh)! Both mean about the same - dumber than a fencepost which does describe some of these people.
I have not been out much but hope to walk later despite the chill to the air and cold. I am catching up with work stuff now. Sue, glad you had fun on your version of Facetime. Did you know you can virtually chat on Facebook, too, on the message app? I have another couple zoom meetings coming up - one social and the other business. The quality of those is amazing and you can have up to 100 people on a virtual chat!
Pam, my little DGD is also a hog with the facetime. lol Her baby brother has few opportunities but is starting to really want his turn so it's fun.
Your meals all sound good. Meatloaf, yum. And those Chicken strips sound good. Do you cook them in air fryer? I have one - of course - being the gadget queen! Or are they already air fried? I never saw them but they sound like an easy good dinner.
Pam, I have your special beans and rice ready to make red beans and rice one of these nights soon.
Have a great day everyone. I nearly made it through the whole post without virus talk. :-)
