Oh that’s right! Luanne you mentioning it reminded me. They asked us those questions too and took all three of our temperatures. At their dentist I’ve never been allowed to go back with them so this was no different.

With dd (of course she's an adult, but that didn't matter) no one was allowed to go into the office with her. And I think it's the same with my friend and her son.
I remember the first time I took my older dd to the children's dentist. She was only about 2 or 3. When they said SHE could come back, but not me, I was so surprised. But they said the kids do much better if the parents aren't there.

I agree kids do way better when the parents aren’t in the room. When my girls used to do private swimming lessons when they were 4 years old the instructor would ask me to wait elsewhere within his yard (he had a whole out door patio set I could lounge in while I waited) because when I would go up to the pool with the girls they’d cry for mommy instead of focus on his instruction. So I’d imagine same thing happens in the dentist.
I was allowed to wait in the waiting room this time. No one else was there. Just had to have a mask on the whole tome.

Tragic numbers in the state of Ohio and I'd venture to say we are not the only state..
Total covid deaths 6/19/20 2,697.
71% of which are long term facilities
Total nursing home covid deaths 1,914.

finreporter, luanne,This is a memory from childhood, probably 10 or under. I was at the dentist and my mom came in the room and I started complaining or something and the dentist called me out on it. Said I was fine until my mom came in the room.

My dentist up until he retired, was my grandfather. As a kid I had run of the office. I could play with the chairs (make them go up and down), with the spit bowl. I have pleasant memories, so I've never been afraid or minded, going to the dentist.
After my grandfather retired I went to my uncle. I didn't have a dentist who was a non family member until I moved from southern California to northern California when I was 31.

Jennifer, Speaking of deaths of the older population in our city of 85,000 in SW Connecticut we've had 16 people in the 60's, 36 people in their 70's, and 74 people in their 80's die. The total for the three groups is 126.

People slamming the newspaper facebook pages complaining about masks being mandatory - here's the news flash: if you'd done what you should have, there wouldn't be a NEED to make it mandatory.
