Hello Everyone - Happy Valentine's Day
Phyl - Hope you can find your watch. I think the Oh My Stars pattern could easily be done in a smaller size, with maybe only 2 or 3 stars instead of all of them.
Ruth - Registries have always been very popular around here, and I liked them when I was working and so many co-workers were having babies or getting married since it made it easier to get a gift for them (this was before the days of all the gift cards we have now). I certainly understand not going to the shower during this time. I'm glad your virus cases are decreasing, I wish they would around where I live - they just keep going up each day.
Ginny - Those fabrics are beautiful together and will so nice in that quilt pattern, I look forward to seeing a picture of the quilt when it is done. That red fabric I showed a picture of probably came from JoAnn fabrics and I'm sure I bought several years ago.
Hope the weather for all of you isn't bad, it looks so crazy all over the country. It's cloudy and cold here today but the temps are high enough that the ice is starting to melt.
I made another Pineapple block this morning in the red material (see picture). I think the brighter color looks nicer. I'm not sure I'll make anymore of these blocks with these two fabrics. The blue is too dark and the red fabric needs to be washed because it bled some on my block where I sprayed some starch.
If I decide to do a larger Pineapple block quilt, which I would like to, I'll have to be careful with my choice of fabrics. I'd really like to do a 2 color quilt.
I'm working on another project too. It's a monthly block from the Temecula Quilt Company. They are calling them Mini-Mondays and there is a pattern on the second Monday of each month this year. The blocks are small and finish at 4.5 inches. I started with just making 2 blocks in January in the reproduction type fabrics (dark blue, darker red, and tan) in the picture I'm posting and then decided to make some lighter fabrics too, so those are the red, blue and white print fabrics in the picture. I'm not sure these 2 sets will go together well in a quilt, so I might end up with 2 small quilts (wall hangings).
