Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did 5/6 of my main HHs, stayed in my 💛 zone of pts. I made reasonable choices. We ate out in Redding at a brew pub we like, and went to the bar in our hotel afterwards. Both were indoors, but distances were good, and servers wore masks.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - JGTB: 💚

Yesterday no walk, 9 hrs of driving. I went to a WW virtual meeting and it was helpful - on building strength.
I got 9 hrs sleep last night and feel pretty good. We’re in our way to Yreka CA to get groceries, then 1 hr drive “downriver” to the cabin. 😍 We left in December and would have been back sooner except for wanting to get the new house stuff set up.
While we were having dinner, a hacking “alert” showed up on my iPhone, and phishing messages appeared in my iPhone calendar. I was thinking this would be a huge mess. But DH googled about it, and all I had to do was delete something that had shown up in my calendar settings. Disaster averted, problem fixed while sitting in the pub 🥳🤩
CONNIE - Good to see you! I’d been concerned about you. I hope you won’t do “too much too soon” with the walking and the hip. The research says not to increase exercise more than 10% at a time, get used to that before adding more F-I-T (Frequency Intensity Time). Back in 2014 my hip was hurting and it just kept getting worse. I finally saw a Dr and my hip arthritis had gotten so bad I had worn a hole through the acetabulum. The other hip was bad, too, but not near as bad. I ended up having both hips replaced that year and have had no problems since.
AMY - Glad to hear your weight is down 2 lbs. Sounds like a good eating plan. Keeping things simple helps me too. Also helpful for me is focusing on one day at a time.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

It's a drizzly SUNDAY here!
CONNIE -- glad you're back with us! I agree with CAIT that taking it slow and steady is a good plan.
CAIT -- glad you made it to your Northern home without any issues. I haven't actually posted via Tapatalk; I was just able to see some posts on it! I do like the MFP stuff, although I don't post any photos there, either.
AMY -- your simple plan sounds like a good one!
Nothing for me yesterday; I helped plant one of our big public gardens ("Wake Up the Beds"), and I knelt and stretched so much that my legs are still sore today. I did a Silver Sneakers cardio program this morning (counting 2 miles), and I just finished stretching.

Good Morning!!
I had a nice weekend. Eating was not too bad for a change.. I added 7 miles Fri-Sunday.
Chinese food. I prefer mostly chicken or seafood dishes with veggies. Not the fried dishes. Garlic sauce. Love sushi rolls. LOve the places that have the Hibachi grill then I can choose what goes in it and can control the amt of sauce.
Connie: Welcome back. I too was getting concerned. Hoping your hip soon feels better. Slow and steady is the answer.
Amy: Congrats on your weight loss.
Cait: I am sure WW will give you a pass for June. Hope you had a safe trip. Glad your blood work was good. MRI results hoping it won't require too involved of an ortho intervention.
Carol: You are doing great with your miles. It is nice that you helped with the community flower beds.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good morning. I walked 4 miles again yesterday and today my hip is no longer hurting. Today I have to go work on a rental so I don't know if I will have the time to walk or not. At least I will not be sitting. Seems like a pattern lately. Truly it's not.
Cait: Thanks for the knowledge. My hip is better today. Glad I was missed but I was just fighting my way out of the paperwork trying to get numbers together before a deadline. Scary thing about the hacking alert. Glad DH was able to solve it. Wow, impressed you haven't had any problems after two hip replacements. with the other stories I've been told I think I would REALLY think about it before I had replacements. Glad it worked for you. Sounds like fun times in the wilderness.
Carol: Glad you're staying so active. Sounds like fun gardening with others.
Kelly: Great for you on the 7 miles. I'll have to try the Habachi grill again, you give me a new perspective. The only time I ever tried it I felt like all of the food tasted the same. "Eating was not too bad for a change" YOU have GOT to be one of the most consistent people I know. Maybe "slipped for a bit" would be a better statement.

Good Evening Dimers!
Yesterday I did 0/6 of my main HHs, stayed up late reading and ate above my red zone of pts. Post-event, transition overeating habit - I feel “entitled” to indulge in the junk foods and it just snowballs from there.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: N - JGTB: N
2 microhabits: - “50 pushaways”: N - “No seconds with snack”: N
Yesterday no walk. We got groceries and got home in the afternoon. Got in a lot of steps unloading the car and getting settled. The house is in pretty good shape for being gone 5 months.
I’m doing well so far today. We walked downriver this am, and the weather is so nice we’ve had all 3 meals on the deck. I will prepare mentally for the evening snack, which is my main risky time for compulsive overeating.
KELLY - GFY 7 mi Fri - Sun! I got 0 miles for those days due to travel and just not being willing to do “something.” I gave myself a 😂. “pass” on the exercise. Hope you’re right and WW will give me one on the in-studio WI for June. Glad your eating was healthy.
CAROL - so nice you volunteered to help “wake up the beds” in the public gardens.
CONNIE - yay! So glad your hip isn’t hurting after another 4 mi walk.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

Good Morning!!
Stayed OP yesterday. It was a good day. Stuck with my planned meals. Took 2 walks = 3 miles.
Connie: Good job on your 4 mile walk. Glad the hip is doing better. Thanks I try to be consistent which I am during the week. I get lazy on weekends and grab meals on the run. Usually it is not fast food but I could make better choices at the restaurants as they all have something WW friendly. Although I have noticed a few higher point days have moved the scale as long as it is not high in sodium.
Cait: I have not WI in person since last March and have kept my status. I think I have to start going in June if they have added more meetings. They actually closed the studio that I went to. They now rent a space in a local hotel.
Enjoy your time up North.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good morning. 4 miles yesterday thank goodness. Hubby fixed the shower at the rental yesterday while I played gopher. I have a couple of projects again today but think I will walk as soon as I get off of the computer.
Cait: You get to feel entitled ONCE in a while. Glad you enjoyed the day, it sounds lovely. Are you close to the water? Will you be staying up there long?
Kelly: You sound like you're doing wonderful. I would TOTALLY mess up if I went to a restaurant. I figure if I'm paying, I'm enjoying.
Have a great day !

Good Morning Dimers! Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my 💚 zone of pts. My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - JGTB: 💚 2 microhabits: - “50 pushaways”: 💚 - “No seconds with snack”: 💚 Yesterday we walked 2 mi downriver. We’re enjoying the great weather, having all 3 meals on the deck. This am we saw an osprey carry a fish up to sit on a tree branch to enjoy his meal! DH is slowly going thru 5 months worth of junk mail. This am was a 4 burner morning for me - I had the stove fully occupied with soup (split pea, millet and veg), cooking rye berries, oatmeal, and water for tea. Now DH is making his lunch chicken in the instant pot. KELLY - GFY 2 walks, 3 mi and OP! Yes I also have kept my lifetime status through next month without the requirement of an in-studio WI, but I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to get to a studio in June, to avoid paying in July. So I did the in-studio WI in May in hopes it would help my request for a pass for June. Before that, my last in-studio WI was Feb 2020. CONNIE - Your DH sounds like mine - a handy fellow. He can fix so many things, and he’s good with computers. My laptop was running noisily and running even in sleep mode, and he just took it apart and cleaned the dust and dirt off the fan. It’s so great to have an “in-house” tech support and handyman! 🤪 Re hip replacement - I’ve read that it’s has the highest success rate and easiest recovery of all the joint replacements. Re my binges - entitled to a splurge is fine, but my problem is I tend to gain momentum and overeat compulsively. My SIL says “If you do it all the time, it’s not a treat.” It took til age 54-55 for me to lose over 100 lbs and until age 60 to start dealing with the binge eating disorder - I’m much improved, but not “done.” Our place up north is on a river in the mountains, in the forest. We love it. 😃 I wish I could bring everyone here! We’re planning to stay til end of June or early July. Here’s a pic I just took from the deck where I’m sitting as I write this: Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other. Cait

TUESDAY!
What a nice evening we're having after a drizzly day! I'll take it!
CAIT--nice bounce back after your slide. Your place seems so peaceful and serene; I know you love it there!
CONNIE -- glad your hip is better. Like CAIT, I've heard people have great success with hip replacements, as opposed to knee or shoulder.
KELLY -- GFY planning your meals and sticking with it!
I stretched today and did an on-demand Zumba class while my baguettes were rising. Of course, we had to check them out once they came out of the oven. Pretty tasty, if I do say so myself!

Good Morning!!
Connie: Hope you had a chance to get out and walk. My DH is handy too. It takes him longer than it use to with his limited vision but saves us a lot of money. I usually help with the process.
Cait: Great job getting right back t your HHs. Beautiful picture I would love it there.
Carol: Good job on your stretching and your Zumba.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Yesterday we walked 2 mi downriver.
So far today I’m OP, but very tired. Planning to stay with my plan and JGTB.
It’s too windy and chilly to eat outside today.
CAROL - you’re so industrious with your Zumba, stretching, baking.
KELLY - Here’s to bouncing back again. The post-event and transition struggles used to go on for weeks. Just have to work through it.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.
